Awesome job!!. Called before showing up, removed tree and stump in a very short time and cleaned up entire job site. I would use them again.

My only regret is that I can't remember the name of the gentleman who came out and did the work because he deserves the recognition. I called them yesterday and the nice lady who answered the phone said that someone would be out today to take a look at what I wanted. A few years ago I removed two large pine trees and the original provider did not grind them down very far leaving two giant humps in the front of my house so landscaping the area as well as building a fence was impossible. Anyway this morning I got a call from Kelly apologizing fro being behind schedule but someone would be here by noon. Well before noon the doorbell rang. I showed the gentleman what I wanted done and he gave quote of 475.00, very fair in my opinion for the work I wanted done. Well here it is 3:15 and the job is done. The two large stumps are gone as well as three smaller one and the side walk around the house where he worked in cleaned up. I will not hesitate to call Kelly's again and will be to remove some other stumps in my backyard when I am ready. Again I wish I could remember the guys name he was fantastic.

We had a rather large pine tree stump and they came with a sophisticated machine and did a pretty thorough job. They did a good job for us and the price seemed reasonable. We had done some comparison and they were the best price.

The stump was removed, but large chips remained.

The business owner, Kelly, met to give an estimate for the job. He quoted a price and agreed to send it in writing by e-mail. We got one other estimate which was within $50. We liked that Kelly, the owner, is hands on....and participates on the job. The office secretary, Denny, sent out the estimate immediately and was available to respond to questions every time I called. We scheduled an appointment and the job was done, within a week of signing the contract. They did an excellent job. Kelly was there with 5 or 6 other workmen and assisted with the job. The workers were efficient , worked quickly and did a beautiful job of cleaning up. They left the ground stump mulch for us to use, as Kelly had explained earlier.

They were perfect. Everything about them was great. I liked the way they conducted themselves. I asked for them to do a few thing and to take out a bush and they said "No problem." They were clean and quick. They're priced adequately. I would absolutely use them again.

I called on Thursday afternoon to request a quote. The customer service agent was extremely pleasant and helpful. Tomas came at 1 the next afternoon to give us a quote. The work was done, and done well, before 10 am the next day (a Saturday). Tomas and Oscar were prompt, professional, and pleasant. I sincerely wish we were prepared to have them remove all the cacti in the backyard, as he was willing to do the whole property -- 7 pear cacti, including the broken one, and the four small cacti out front -- for $600. We opted for a smaller job only because we don't have a plan yet for the fence behind the cacti (they provide a natural defense at the back of our lot, which backs up to some apartments and parking lots). We'll definitely call Kelly again when we're ready to deal with the rest of these monsters.

Very professional team. Arrived on time, worked quickly, and cleaned the area well. They were able to grind the stump in a very confined area, something other services were unable to do. All work was completed in less than an hour.

Kelly's Stump Removal Inc showed up on time. They rifled the job off really well and were competitively priced. We had them come out after we did the tree cutting and then we still had a bit of the stump that we were going to keep and we decided to get rid of that. They came out and took care of that too and did a great job. The staff was great. They were polite, friendly and had no issues whatsoever.

They were prompt, professional and very convenient - came while we were at work and just sent the bill. Very easy for an excellent price - exactly as quoted.

This review is for many jobs by Kelly, not just this one. Kelly and/or his crews have worked on my yard around 10 times since I bought my house in '98. Every job is done with care and enthusiasm. Consulting with Kelly is ideal -- he understands what is needed, he has great suggestions, and he works incredibly hard to make sure I am happy. He has removed trees so neatly that I can garden that spot the next day. If he finds a problem, he takes care of it. His guys are super nice and easy to work with, and the crew boss always knows what makes a tree look good -- he has a good eye. I can describe what I want, and they can do it right every time.

They were awesome! They were the first to return my phone call. They showed up exactly when they said they would. They got the work done... even it serious heat! I'd use them again.

I was told the minimum charge would be $85, and was quoted $125 when the worker arrived. That was okay, but when it only took the guy about 10 minutes to get the root out with a pick and shovel, it seemed a bit expensive.Otherwise, the service provided was prompt and excellent.

On July 3rd, a representative came to my property to look at the tree stump and give me an estimate. We made an appointment for the stump to be ground out after the holiday. They called before they arrived to let me know they were on their way. They removed the stump in less than an hour, including clean up. They were very careful to not cause any damage to my new fence and new driveway. I was very pleased. I even got a senior discount.

Jim did a thorough review of the lot and all the trees, then he gave me an estimate in multiple phases/priorities. He was honest in telling me what needed to be addressed now, and what could wait. Prices were higher than others, but not the most expensive quotes I received. On the days of service Jim shows up with the crew on time and gives them instruction on what's to be done. He has an experienced team, and they do an excellent job thinning the trees out while keeping their beauty. They are respectful of the property and do a good job cleaning up at the end of the day. It's been a pleasant experience working with this company. I've used them multiple times over the years and I like having a knowledgeable arborist assessing my trees so they are maintained properly.

I got quotes from 5 different tree companies from Angies List that had very high ratings. A couple of the quotes were lower than Kelly's Stump removal but after doing some of my own investigative research into all the companies I discovered that Kelly's stump removal was the only company on my list that was current on all of the following: INSURANCE, BONDING, LICENSING and WORKMENS COMP. I was stunned! As a new home owner the risk of loosing newly purchased house due to complications removing this huge tree was scary. I live in the city and there were 5 buildings that could be potentially damaged if things went wrong. The arborist who came out to look at the tree called me several times on the phone before I accepted the bid to ask about questions of access to the yard and tree. He was very polite and professional and offered me addition 10% more off the quote when they found out that I was an Angies list member. He was eager to get the bid and said he would try and match lower bids if they were reasonable. With the 10% Angies list discount he did match a lower bid and I decided that they were the right people to use. The work was scheduled on a Friday. Several workers arrived early and were well into their work by the time I arrived. They were all extremely polite and cheerful. It was a HUGE job. Due to telephone wires etc they could not use a bucket truck to get to the top of this tree so one of the guys put on spikes and ropes and took tower of ivy down piece by piece. He said he had worked on trees covered with Ivy but none so overtaken as this one. He did an amazing job! The other guys chipped all the branches and the trunk and left the chips at my request. This process took the better part of the day. When the tree was down 2 guys ground up the stump which was a job in itself as area right around the tree had been used as a dumping ground and at that point there were many feed of debris around the tree. They pulled out box springs and a metal swing set etc. These guys did a tremendous job that was not at all easy. While the stump was being ground up 2 other guys trimmed and shaped the bottle brush tree in the front of the house. Once they started shaping it they realized how much of the interior of the tree branches were dead. Because of this, again, their work was more involved than expected. They did a wonderful job and went beyond the call of duty. I left before they were finished. When I returned the next day the tree looked beautiful and all the area around it was cleaned up. Through out the whole process they kept checking in with me to make sure I was happy with everything. They were in good spirits the whole time. At one point a car blocked their access to my backyard gate by a few inches. I could not find the owner of the car and so they removed the hinges from the gate to allow for more space for their vehicle making an akward turn. At the end of the day (of course just as the car owner arrives to move it) they put the gate back on the hinges. I cannot say enough how much I appreciate the work they did. I would highly recommend the Kelly Stump crew to anyone with trees that need to be pruned or removed.

Kelly and his guys did a great job, previous tree places ruined my palm tree when they pruned it. Kelly's guys did a beautiful job, clean trim. One stump wrapped a gas line, they were very good at removing the stump, the guy was very agile at getting as much stump as possible but not hitting the gas line. His whole crew did a great job. Friendly guys.

Two tree stumps (one a VERY large 50- year-old Myoporium, the other a 20-year-old ornamental plum) we wanted both ground down and removed. Both tree trunks were wedged into a wood deck and stone pavers were cemented around the plum tree trunk (it was pretty at one time but the original owners created a big mess). I requested an estimate by email Sunday, Tomas was out by early Monday morning to do the estimate (very knowledgeable, clearly an expert). By noon Tuesday, both Kelly, the owner, and Oscar were hard at work grinding out both stumps while avoiding conduit lines, deck supports, rocks, footings, public utilities, etc and pulling apart the minimum amount of deck and stone work possible. To look at these two stumps you had to wonder how in the heck anybody could get all that out of there in this wedged up mess. By 2pm Tuesday they had both stumps and most roots ground down 12 inches, had carried off the excess mulch as requested and had back filled the holes for us and there was very little sawdust mess left anywhere but in the holes where it belonged. They also leveled off what was left and you could hardly tell there had been two stumps there. Kelly, Tomas, and Oscar were all experts at their jobs and professional. Hiring people who know what they are doing especially in a difficult tight access hard job as this was is completely worth the money. For the service they provided, it was more than a fair price too. I hired Kelly's Stump removal to eliminate a 2 foot diameter bay tree stump located near a fence. The stump was completely destroyed with a trailer mounted grinder. The work was performed within the promised schedule and for the quoted price. The crew was careful to avoid damage to the fence and the nearby water faucet. Overall, I'm satisfied with the job.

Arrived on time. Ground a redwood stump. Cleaned up perfectly. Advised me not to plant in that spot for 1 year. If all service providers were this good, my headaches would go away. Kelly is trustworthy and professional.

These guys are GREAT. I sent them an email explaining that I needed a tree removed, and included a picture so they could see what they were up against. I got a call a few days later to arrange a time when Kelly could come over to provide an estimate. He came when they said he would, and their estimate was about a third of what I expected to spend. Seemed too good to be true. Written estimate followed, as promised the next day by email. The crew showed up when they said they would, and made quick work of the tree. They were polite, efficient, and left NO mess at all. I don't know how the guy makes money; there must've been four or five guys on the job, they were here for a couple hours at least, with their expensive equipment, and the whole thing cost only $500 (after the 10% Angieslist discount.) Great service, great price, great result... I couldn't be happier.

I called for an estimate for tree and stump removal. I got a call the same day. Two days later the work was done. They were responsive, professional, and a good value.

They showed up early in the morning as promised. When I arrived home in the afternoon after the job was completed, there was only a flat spot on the ground - like a tree had never been there. Real pros.
