Great! We were afraid that we would need to replace, but the rep was honest and only fixed what was needed.

They did a fine job and it is working well. I can’t think of anything that I disliked but I had to remind him that I’m a senior citizen and he gave me a 10% discount.

Arrived early to the job. Performed the work in a timely manner, was very pleasant and professional experience. Would and will use Empire Doors again.

Jody the owner installs every door, so there is no sub-contractor or employee as the middle man and he is professional and courteous. He was on time for both the estimate and install and he always answers the phone. I very happy with the work performed and have no hesitation in recommending Empire.

I called him at 8:00am and he was 20 minutes early to his 9:30am appointment. He had the whole door fixed and running in about 20 minutes. The door is so much quieter now it's simply amazing.

Steve was very responsive and made an appointment to come out the same day. He arrived promptly, and diagnosed the problem instantly. He also spotted another area that needed a bolt to be replaced. The work was performed professionally, on time, and there were no up charges. Steve also mentioned that our Genie drive unit's motor was in need of replacement, and guided us on how to obtain prompt warranty replacement from Genie. I had a tough problem in that I could not access a broken garage door opener in a garage which only could be entered through the front. The tech from Empire, Jody, thought of a great solution which minimized damage to the door but still allowed him to get inside and fix the problem. Afterward, he cleaned up the work space and was overall very easy to deal with. He explained my problem in a way I could understand and made arrangements to meet me within a couple of hours of my call. He was a total professional and reasonably priced. I give this company my highest recommendation.

This Co. provided excellent and prompt service. Called them on Saturday around 8:30 AM. Jody answered the phone.I explained to him what kind of problem I am having. He promised to see me between 9.30 and 10.00 AM the same day,to my surprise. At about 9.45 he arrived at my home and start working. In 45 min. he was done and my garage door is like new now.I defiantly will use this co. again and recommend them to my friends and family. Thanks Jody.

An old part (from a system that is no longer manufactured) was broken. No replacement was available, but the repair person was able to fabricate a servicable solution. He spent an hour and twenty minutes on the job but charged only the minimum price. The result was VERY satisfactory.

I called Steve based off the glowing reviews on Angie's List. And I'm glad I did! He was friendly, came out immediately the next morning, and did the job in about an hour. Everything works perfectly. I would definitely call him again in the future.

I called Empire to have them come out and replace the emergency release key lock on my detached garage. The gentleman who answered the phone simply told me that if I had a set of tools I could do the work myself and save the service call. After finding the part, I was still having trouble. I called them again thinking I would just have them come out after all. Rather he walked me through what I needed to do over the phone. And I did the small repair myself. Though I did not use their services this time, I will in the future. Great customer service.

Absolutely flawless and perfect. I called Steve at 8:10am Monday morning (1/12/2010) and left a message describing the problem. He called me back within 5 minutes and said he could be at our home between 11am and noon. He arrived at 10 minutes before 11. He had quoted the price to me on the phone, and upon checking the door, verified that to be the problem. He worked quickly and efficiently, was pleasant and professional and tidy. I would definitely use Steve and Empire again, and have already referred him to my neighbor.

Jody came out on time and gave me a very reasonable estimate. Jody was very professional, personable and extremely knowledgeable. He estimated it would take two to three weeks for the new garage doors and equipment to come in. I was pleasantly surprised when he called me after a week to let me know the equipment had come in and he wanted to schedule the installation. The installation went flawless and all the old debris was hauled away. I have had a lot of bad experiences in the past so it was refreshing to work with such a professional company. I would recommend them to anyone who needs garage door installation or service.

Steve from Empire showed up 10 minutes early for a 10 AM appointment that was only made at 5:00 PM the evening before. That alone scored points with me as I needed to get to my office. He not only programmed my 4 remotes, which was the reason for the call, but also tuned up my two garage doors, which was above and beyond the requested service.

We had a carport without a garage. We wanted to install the garage door. We needed to first construct the walls and the openings so we could install the garage door. Jessie one of the owners of the Empire recommended somebody to us to do that work. We got that work done. The person whom he recommended was very good. Jessie installed the door for us. He was very good and attentive. I recommended him to my neighbor and they also ended up using him.

They showed us a bunch of brochures as to what was available. They let us know what the process would be and how much room they needed to work in the garage. They came out at the time we wanted. There was only one person, and he did all of the work himself. It took him about 5 hours. The garage door works perfectly, and it is exactly what we identified from the brochures as what we wanted. We are very pleased with it. He did an excellent job of applying the sealer all around the door, because we had a problem leaves blowing in the garage through the gaps that were there before. They eliminated that problem. I would recommend them.

Jody came out and gave estimate and checked all of the opening to determine what extra would be needed to install a modern garage door. Also broke down his estimate into cost of door, cost of re-enforcing the opening (frame) and automatic opener. When I decided to go forward, he was able to schedule it within 2 days and completed it within 8 hours. He went over with me all of the operations and safety devices of the door. He was always responsive to my phone calls and he cleaned up after himself. Looks terrific!!

Steve preformed above and beyond the call. What we had not known was that rats had once infested the garage and had gotten at all the wiring. What we thought was dust was dried rat c***. He fixed what needed to be fixed even under disgusting conditions and even found my garage door remote which looked like it had been a rabid Doberman's chew toy. Not only that but he wrapped orange tape and padding around one of the garage door tracks that constantly whacked my head on. If all that's not the measure service beats me what is.

It went well, he is very thorough and good. He was quick and had a good use of time.

For months, the garage door would neither go up nor down from its 3/4 open position. Rollers were out of the bent tracks, and the door was uneven; open further on one side than the other. We anticipated spending a pile of money on a new door. We contacted Empire and were told that a technician would be in our area the next day and could be by at a specified time. He was right on the button; perhaps even a few minutes early. He took a quick look and said he could fix the door. I asked when and he said, "As soon as I get the tools out of my truck." A half hour and a few dollars later, we had a fully functioning garage door. It's still the cheap piece of junk it always was, but it works. And when the time comes to actually replace it, we will look no further than Empire Garage Door Service. Not only was the technician able to do the work immediately, he was able to provide information about door replacement options, and costs as well as information on garage door openers. He even had brochures showing all the options.

Steve did a great job. Showed up early. Installed the unit and then showed me the set-up. Very neat installation including running all the wires the right way. He also made sure that the original door was lubricated so not to make noise. When done he cleaned everything up.
