Empire Garage Door Service

I called Empire on Thursday, Steve quoted me a fair price based on my description of the problem. Arrived the next morning right on time, did a careful job and gave me a senior discount. I am completely satisfied.

I have used this company before and wrote a review on Angies List. I was nervous when I saw in my monthly newsletter that he had been given a special acknowledgement, because I thought he might get too busy to respond to little jobs.Not to worry, he came in a jiffy put the wheels back in, lubricated the door and wouldn't charge.

Empire was quick to come out to give me an estimate, which was about $100 less than an other garage door company with high marks on Angie's List. After I agreed to the estimate, date was set for 3 or 4 days hence. The work was completed in about an hour and I now have a new and updated garage door opener.

The guy did an excellent job. He solved the problem that nobody else has seemed to solve, and left us with the system that's going to last us for years and years. It works great. I will recommend Jared Willard who works there, and he did a great job.

My garage door had come off it's rails so after a quick look on the list I called Steve at empire. He was on time and did a very thorough job. The garage works better than I ever remember it working before.

We upgraded to a roll up garage door. Our experience was excellent! They showed up on time the next day to give a quote. He was very clear and comprehensive. We got 2 quotes and their quote was very reasonable. Within 1 week the new door was ordered and installed. He even made a few nice extra touches for no extra charges. At the last minute he installed a key override for the garage door. Before he left he cleaned everything. He programmed our remotes too! Our old wooden garage door was then recycled.

These guys are the best hands down at what they do. They were on time, beat everyone's prices, and were completely professional. They actually do the work themselves which is unheard of, Steve and Jody are a class A team. Highly recommend.

They came out and fixed it, and did a tune up for me as well. They were great!

Jody showed up on time and was professional. He got right to work inspecting and cleaning my garage door and opener. After 30 minutes a door that would not close or open all the way and jerked loudly was now smooth and quieter than ever. This was the same motor another company told me was and quot;shotand quot; and needed a $400 replacement. When my motor does finally die I will be calling Jody from Empire for an honest replacement.

It went just the we all want service calls to go - starting with the call to the company the day before the actual service. Steve answered the phone promptly triaged the intermitten problem over the phone. He suggested I try a couple things and call him back. He reminded me that the company has a Service Call minimum of $85 ($10 Senior Discount). On second call we made an appointment for the next AM, Steve was on time, cheerful and professional. He quickly resolved the opener problem. Then he listened to how important a rather small dent in the door was to my wife. Steve redoubled his focus and did a very good repair on the door. Quick, competent, cheerful service at a fair price. Oh yeah - Rescue Pets on a separate tab on their website. What's not to like?

Steve came out to provide an estimate within an hour and a half of calling Empire. They came out the following week and the doors were installed. Absolutely a no hassle/easy company to deal with. The price included the doors (with window tops), insulation, and the installation. The old motors were used as Steve said they were fairly new and in good condition.

When it came time to replace the swing-out garage door on my home with a roll-up door, I went to one of those home improvement coupon books for a company. That's how I found Mesa (bear with me, this is leading to Empire). After dealing with the slimiest, high pressure salesman I've ever dealt with in my life (from Mesa), I decided I needed to look a little harder for a company that deserved my business. That search led me to Yelp which led me to Empire. They only had about 5 reviews at the time, but they were all 5 stars and you could tell by reading them that this company had truly left an impression on their customers. So I called. Right from the start, I loved their service (promptly returned phone calls and pricing, pleasant to deal with, professional, etc.). When their price came in at less than Mesa's, the decision was a no-brainer. A week or so later I had a brand new garage door installed, my brand new opener installed, and a company I would recommend to anyone. About a year and a half later, I was having issues with my garage door opener due to a tub of chlorine in my garage causing a chemical reaction that corroded all of the copper contacts. This caused the door to malfunction intermittently. I called Jody to see if the unit could be repaired or if I had to replace it. He said most likely it would have to be replaced, but he'd take a look. He came out, replaced a few small parts, and at half the price of a new opener, I was back running as good as new. If you're in the market for anything garage door related (opener installation, door replacement, tune-up, etc.) do not hesitate to give them a call. Jody and Steve are the cream of the crop. Over the course of my 2.5 year home renovation, I have dealt with literally dozens of home improvement companies/contractors/vendors/etc. and Empire is, without a doubt, my absolutely favorite find. Plus, I like knowing my money goes to two hardworking owner-operators (Jody and Steve) versus radio ads and slimy used car salesmen (I'm talking to you, Mesa!).

Steve and Jody are wonderful to work with if you are looking for garage doors. Steve arrived early for the estimate on a Saturday morning-we signed up to have them do the work that day and Steve placed the order on Monday for the parts. Jody came out that Wednesday. Part of the work involved framing to match the garage-which was a carport with a swing gate. Jody did a wonderful job to match the woodwork-he also installed a secuity door after the 2 garage doors were installed on the old carport which is now a new garage!. Jody met with us the following Saturday to program the remotes (and he set up my wife's Homelink on her Volvo with the code to open the garages without the remote too). So we got 2 new garage doors, remotes, framing and a security door to button up the place-awesome! This was all done within a week start to finish.

Jodie was punctual, neat, and did a great job. I appreciated his suggestions about colors and everything else. He was very straightforward, honest, and easy to work with. Knowledgeable without being arrogant, and easy to work with. Also was quick, and doesn’t beat around the bush.

Called them on a Tuesday morning and explained the problem. They said they could be out between 2 and 3 pm that same day. About 1:30pm they called us and said that they were running a little late and would be there about 2:45pm. It wasn't really necessary for them to call us but we appreciate that they took the extra effort to do so. He showed up at the appointed time, replaced the parts, performed an overall maintenance check and service on the door, and was on his way within an hour or so. No problem, no hassles, and very professional and responsive. The door now works perfectly and is absolutely quiet. We will definitely use him again.

Steve arrived on the same day I called in the time he said he would. He quickly assessed situation and got to work. Was here for about 45 minutes. Garage is smooth as silk and working great once again. He showed me his work and answered my questions. I will use him again in the future. I feel I got what I needed for a good price!

Empire came out and looked at my mother-in-law's old garage door, showed us his catalog of door options and gave us a written estimate for the various options. He was very low-key, no pressure, no up-sell. I liked that. he told us that our existing motor was fine, actually very dependable and better quality than most they sell today. So that was a cost saving. He could have told us we needed a new one and we would have spent more. so points for honesty and integrity. I entered the "zero" in the amount because I can't remember the amount but know if was reasonable.

My garage door broke down and found Empire Garage Door on Angie’s List. Steve came down ahead of our appointment and found the problem in no time-a faulty limit switch. When I first saw him, he reminded me of that famous movie actor Zach Galifianakis from the movie Hangover with his black sunglasses. He was very professional, very efficient, and explained to me what the problems are and how to fix it. As soon as he changed the switch, he lubed the rails, adjusted the springs and now my garage door is so quiet that I wish that I have found Steve a long time ago and not agonized by my noisy garage door for years. The $85 service call and $10 switch is money well spent and we are now enjoying our much improved and quiet garage door. I would definitely call Empire again and highly recommend their superb work to all my friends. Thank you Steve and Angie’s List. Keep up the good work.

Earlier in the year, around March, my garage door opener stopped working. I called Empire and the technician, for a very modest service charge, spent nearly an hour and a half rigging up a fix to keep my garage door opener working. He did say I should consider replacing the opener at some time this year, and told me about how much it would cost, but he didn't in any way pressure me, and seemed more than willing to take the time and spare parts from his van to keep my opener going. Last month, I felt I was able to spend some money on home repairs, and decided to have a new opener installed. There was no question in my mind about calling Empire, because of the honest and excellent service I had received from them earlier. They came out the day after I called, and did the installation of a very high quality opener at exactly the price I had been quoted 8 months previously. Before he left he explained all the features of the new opener, and made sure al my questions were answered. I recommend them highly for price and service.

I had another contractor come out and insist that I needed a new opener - cost $495. We decided to check around. I read reviews of Empire which all sounded quite good so I called. Steve asked a few questions over the phone, told me about the unit we had, and determined that we most likely did need to replace the opener. His assessment sounded honest and knowledgeable and his quote was considerably cheaper so we agreed. When he arrived as scheduled the next day with the new opener, he checked out our existing unit and determined it that it could indeed be repaired and gave me the option. There was no sales or pressure either way, just the facts. What a breath of fresh air. This guy has been doing this a long time and really knows his business. He did the repair which took about 10 minutes and then tuned up every part of the mechanism from the springs to the pulleys to the hinges, in total about 30 minutes. It's all working better than it has in years. If and when our opener does finally fail, Steve at Empire will get the call. Every contractor should be so honest, every repair service call so drama-free.

I called them to fix a broken spring on our garage door. He answered promptly, came within 2 hours and fixed the problem quickly and perfectly. I will use this company always for any garage door issue.

Perfect all the way. Immediate response, plus Steve arrived earlier than the scheduled time. Was fast, efficient and a very pleasant person. Price was very fair for the work done. Will definitely use him again and can highly recommend him to all.

Very honest, did the work we requested and made additional repairs at no charge. GREAT server, will definitely use them again for any garage issues.

All service people should be this good! Prompt phone answer, prompt phone call back, on time, saw the problem, quoted a fixed price, fixed the problem as agreed and gave the whole system a once over including the springs and greased the track. Nice guy, knew his job, very fast, highly skilled. A pleasue to due business with.

Great! We were afraid that we would need to replace, but the rep was honest and only fixed what was needed.
