Replacing a toilet should be rather straight-forward but we bought a foreign made model that proved to be rather difficult to install. Not only was the installation complicated, but the bolts had be drilled thru ceramic tile which took a considerable amount of time to drill. The job took much longer to complete than had been planned, but we felt the price charged was reasonable given the number of hours spent. John cleaned up and left the bathroom neat and orderly.

Came on time, worked hard and finished quickly and correctly.

The plumber arrived on time, about 2:00, and worked until 7:00pm to finish the job. It was very hot and humid that day and the 2 guys just kept on working until the job was done. They did everything we requested and more. The work was done professionally and they stuck to the estimate. They were friendly, courteous and clean (when they started); not so clean after digging in the dirt. They left the various job areas neat and clean. We'd use them again.

John was very pleasant on the phone and came out to my house the next day. He was running a little bit late but called to let me know that. Once he got there he quickly assessed the job and got to work. He was done 40 minutes later and then walked me through all of the work he had done and answered all of my questions about the work and some general plumbing questions as well. He was very nice to work with.

After waiting 2 days for another plumber to return my call, I decided to call Blankenship. It was nice to get John on the phone the first time I called. He scheduled an early morning visit to accomodate my work schedule and was prompt and thorough. One never hopes to need a plumber, but next time I do, I'll call John. I thought the charge was rather high but let's face it, I have no idea what other plumbers would charge for this.

Overall very satisfied. John was open to discussing other options such as relocating the unit and the use of a tankless water heater. Since this is a rental property and cost is a big factor we opted not to change the location and use a conventional tank. John also spotted minor water drips and a gas leak in other parts of the house which he took care of for an additional $100. I did not receive a written estimate beforehand as I would have preferred for record keeping but that did not deter us from choosing Blankenship Plumbing.

The worker came when he was supposed to and seemed very confident in his work. I just felt their price was kind of high for minor work.

From the inital phone call, to being on time and swiftly handling the replacement of the water heater things were very professional.

We were without hot water because of a gas leak, so I was really hoping to get it fixed quickly. I called John at 8:30, and he was here two hours later. Two hours after that the job was done and we had hot water again! John was friendly and professional. We'll definitely call him again when we have a problem.

John showed up on time and fixed everything really solidly in no time. With plumbing it seems you always have to just get in there to really see what the problem is, so much is best case/ worst case scenario. John was patient and explained everything to me and fix everything really seamlessly. My only concern was it seemed expensive to me. His invoice could have been a little more detailed, cause I don't know much about plumbing. That might have put me more at ease, but bottom line HE DID A GREAT JOB AND ALL OF HIS WORK LOOKS PERFECT. I would for sure hire him again.

The person who came was great. He came on time, and I was very pleased with his neatness. I am very happy with his workmanship. He did the finishing of the work very well and the price was fair as well. He cleaned up after himself and did a great job. He took a little longer to finish the work but when I saw the end product I was very happy. He cared a lot about how his work looks. He has done lot of work in my friend’s house as well. I ended up paying him more since he charged me on a hourly basis. I was ok to pay me as the work he did was good.

I found a vast puddle under my sink on Sunday afternoon. Called John on Monday morning, he came within four hours. It took several hours to complete the job, because of the work required to fix the leak. He did a great job.

I have no complaints about them. They always make sure to get here when I have a problem. When they leave, whatever they came for is working properly.

The work went well, and came out as John had estimated. The installation was a little rough, as there was very little room under the sink for the new faucet hardware. John was able to to complete a fine installation with a little chisel work, and we love our new faucet.

John showed up promptly, and completed the job in about an hour. The price was extremely reasonable, considering he agreed to accommodate our schedule, and performed service in early evening (6:30 pm) so we wouldn't have to leave work early.

Friday afternoon, Burbank Water and Power knocked on my door to tell me I had a cracked gate valve and because it was positioned on my side of the curb, it was my responsibility and not the city's to fix. They told me it would probably hold until Monday, but water was cascading down the street from the little access hole at the curb. At 6 pm, I started to call plumbers. Several didn't answer and their voice mail was full. John Blakenship was the 3rd I tried. I was going down Angie's List according to miles from my home. I always prefer to go local. He answered and listened to the problem and said he could be out between 10am-12pm Monday. At 10:40am on Monday, Mr. Blakenship called to say he was on his way and he arrived at about 11am. It took 2 1/2 hours to clear the tree root and replace the valve. Mr. Blakenship was hardworking, polite and very easy to converse with. He explained any plumbing issues clearly and precisely. I'll definitely call him again.

My first experience using John was last week (see my report.) I certainly didn't figure I would need him to come back so soon. Over the weekend, I put too much spaghetti down the disposal at one time, clogging the line. Since he had to come back to unclog the sink, as a preventive, I had him snake my shower drain to clear the usual hair and muck that accumulates in the drain. Lastly, the toilet he worked on last week wouldn't shut off and kept running (not the problem when he was here before). He replaced the fill valve and supply line. As before, I appreciated that John called me and confirmed he was on his way. When he and his brother Pat are working, both lay down sheets to keep the area clean. John's now my preferred plumber.

Very pleased. Called last night to repair as other service did not; John Blankenship came out first thing this morning and did the work. He was very professional, and does very good work. Do not confuse with another service by a similar name. This is Blankenship plumbing and John Blankenship is the contact and does his own work.
