Erinn came out and talked with me about our project - he was amazingly thoughtful and professional. We have to decide whether to move forward with the project, but I would recommend talking to Alpha Structural about your project.

It went outstanding. Had a few unforeseen hiccups but overall things went well! EVERYONE I had contact with in this company was friendly, professional and super cool! From the job estimator to the crew who actually did the work...all top notch.

It went well. The guy was quite experienced. The coupon I bought cost $225. I haven't got a chance to talk with them yet. Just based on the inspection alone, I give them an A. I got a coupon and a pretty good deal for the price of the general inspection. I haven't got a report so I don't have a lot to say in that case. I think the inspector is experienced, quite truthful, very objective, and his explanation is based on the facts so I appreciate that. I would definitely consider them in the future.

They were super professional. The inspection, work appointments and clean up all were on schedule. The only delay in finishing was due to the City inspector being a day late because of July 4 holiday, not Alpha's fault. The final inspector was really impressed with the work. They cleaned up very well, and even put concrete into the stucco gap after jacking the wall up, which was not on the original work bid. The two workers, Juan and Vicente, did a pretty amazing job, given how hot it was those days and the very tight quarters they had to work in.

From the first phone call I knew that choosing Alpha Structural was the right choice. Sandy went out of her way to schedule an inspection for a hillside home purchase. She was able to work her magic a squeeze us in due to our limited time frame. The inspector, Erinn, was prompt, professional, friendly, educated and thorough. He analyzed every inch of the property and delivered a written report the following day. This company was a joy to work with and will be used on all of my future purchases.

We decided not to do it but I thought they were really first class. They looked at our house and they gave us a bid. We just thought about it and decided not to do it. I really liked the person who came out. I thought he had integrity. He said you know I really wouldn't worry about it too much. Which was a little hint not that we were going to be ok but he didn't feel that we are that close to the Santa Anreas fault even though we are on beach property. I guess he was kinda indirectly saying when we told him it was a scraper - if anybody bought it they would scrape the house and build a castle- and we are in our 80's. We just didn't think that it would be worthwhile to spend that kind of money. Anyways I thought they were very honest and if we were going to do it we would use them. I think they know what they are doing. I would definitely refer them to a friend.

Excellent! The structural engineer came out immediately for the assessment. The start date was set and everything went smoothly. Every Alpha employee is professional and friendly, prompt, knowledgeable, and responsive to emails. They show up on time, get the job done, clean up, explain everything in detail, and prices are more than reasonable! I can't begin to express how happy I am dealing with Alpha. They are refreshingly honest and don't overbid. We also had another buckling wall at another property that they handled as well. One cost $4300.00 and the other cost $5900. We are using them for our earthquake retrofitting as well at 2 other properties. Will report back when those jobs are complete.

Great customer service (ask for Lisa Hunter -- she'll make sure you get an appointment and that they understand exactly what you need done). They were able to squeeze me in next day for a CEA earthquake retrofit inspection. I was a bit nervous that it would lead to them just "finding" work needed on my house, but, instead the inspector came and told me I was good to go, that if I needed work in the future to consider them, and he signed off on my bolt/retrofit. Price was $250 for inspection; not cheap, but also not terrible, and I wanted a qualified firm so very fair to me. So nice to find an honest contracting firm, and with good service (even showed up on time). Highly recommended; I'll have them bid if I need work done in the future.

Very exact. They gave me an guarantee that my problems won't returned. That is what happened. My roof was cracked out. That humongous tree fell on my house twice. My one corner of house was devastated from it. They were able to pull it up. They were able to fix it up. Not fix up the cracks. They cracked it up when they fixed it. Everything is back, and normal. It never sank again. They advised me how to re-slope the grounds around my property. Regraded. I followed their advice, and I don't have problems anymore. I had water problems around the foundation. The grading was wrong. I fixed it all, and everything went away. Just as they told me.

They made one mistake, they reinforced the wrong place. I was like this is wrong. You suppose to do my bathroom. It was expensive. It cost a lot more this time. They made a mistake too. Overall, they are a good company, and I would use them for the next time. The fact instead they finished in one day, the finished in three days. I have to take off from work. I was uncomfortable. Their people wasn't doing it right, and I had to supervise.

DID NOT INSPECT FOUNDATION. PROCEEDED TO PITCH THE SALE OF PAVERS FOR THE PATIO WITHOUT ANY SOLUTION FOR THE REPAIR OF THE ACTUAL FOUNDATION DAMAGE.

We recently bought a 100+ year old Craftsman with original river rock/mortar foundation and decided to bring it up to seismic standards. We called 3 highly reputable, highly rated companies on Angie's List, all of whom recommended the same scope of work, and went with Alpha based upon their highly competitive price and recommendation by another contractor. Brad came out to do the inspection and was always available to answer questions prior to the start of the project. Was told it would be a 2 week project start to finish, 88 linear feet sister foundation with post/pier improvements. Alpha truly delivered in every aspect. We had the same crew for the duration of the project. 3 men, Abel, Margarito, and Roberto, and Steve was the project supervisor. The 3 man crew was awesome working hard daily, always on time at 7a and working despite the constant rain. No hiccups with inspections, crew cleaned up the place throughout the project and hauled all debris away after completion as well. Originally, I envisioned the project would run over price, take twice as long as promised to complete, and with multiple surprises. Virtually none of this turned out to be the case. After excavation, Steve mentioned that a water line and main gas line needed to be moved away from the perimeter in case of need for future repairs which I appreciated and took care of. Other than that, price was exactly as quoted, duration of project exactly as quoted. Would highly recommend and definitely use again if any foundation needs arose in the future.

This group is top notch, friendly and excellent. There was an issue with scheduling (for some reason they didn't get the deal I bought on the website) my wife had me call the day before the scheduled inspection (that I set up on the website) and alpha structural got back to me asap. Even though they were just notified that morning they got Dick out later that afternoon when we needed him. I was very impressed how they were able to make it right in such a short amount of time. Buying a home with potential issues (especially the foundation) is tough enough but for them making it work was a life saver. Dick our structural engineer was very knowledgeable, gave all the facts and in the end gave us piece of mind. I would definitely use them again!!

Excellently well! Sandy helped me coordinate the inspection expediently. We were on a tight timeline and she pulled some strings so we could get the inspection done in time. Our inspector/structural engineer, Erinn, was personable, thorough, knowledgeable and timely. I highly recommend him and Alpha Structural!

They were efficient and pleasant to work with. They did the work on time, neat, no mess, and very good to work with. However, the final step is to have the city inspector come out and review the work that was done. My house has a very small crawl space and said Alpha Structural needs to come out and create better access to the crawl space before I can get a certificate of completion. I contacted Alpha and set up an appointment and that was the last I've heard from them. They missed the appointment and will not return my calls or emails. I've been calling 1-2 times every week for three months now.

I spoke with Lisa who was incredibly helpful and super efficient. They couldn't do the work I needed because they are a full service company (they do the construction as well) and I didn't need that. But she gave me a referral. Very nice and if I ever need to do a lot of work on my house I would use them.

Professional presentation and prompt arrival for quote. Thouroughly inspected the foundation, provided two solutions, tips, and verbal estimate. Did not receive any follow up, including promised written proposal.

Called and spoke to Lisa, do not really know who she is but maybe she is the owner. Asked her to get an estimate and a structural assessment on my house and her reply was "are you going to sell the house or not". When I asked her what that had to do with anything she became irate, rude, insulting and loud. She had a extremely bad attitude and even though I had already given her my phone number and address, I decided not to do business with that company. All the good reviews in here must be family, friends and completely FAKE. This company is a nightmare to even speak to, I can't imagine having to work with that woman or anyone else in there.

Good to work with. Very reasonable. If they made an error and we showed them, they fixed it no problem. Did everything to the way we wanted and in a reasonable amount of time and cost. Work seems to be of good quality.

Brad came out. He was professional, and didn't resort to fear tactics. He was honest and helpful.

Adequate work. Untrustworthy management. Charged us 56k to do structural engineering and foundation restoration. Then told buyers for our property that we should have retrofitted at the same time we did the structural work. They told buyers it would cost another 20k. However, Charlie Rosenkranz who wrote two separate proposals for the work required on the building and who also advised the prospective buyers never recommended to us, either in writing or verbally that we should retrofit. Don't trust this company.

Douglas provided a structural assessment for a new home we just purchased. His attention to detail was great and comprehensive. The report was very thorough. Above all, I appreciate the honest objective opinions and recommendations so that I didn't feel like I had to go overboard on things. Was very helpful in spending time afterwards to answer follow up questions too. Excellent service.

I had been worried about some cracks in the walls in four areas of my house and I recently noticed that one of the overhead beams supporting my garage roof was warped. I was worried the overhead storage platform may be over weighted and causing damage. I set an appointment with Lisa at Alpha who was super helpful. Douglas arrived right on time and looked everything. Luckily nothing looked structural to him--just age and materials (the house was built in the 1950's). He spent the time to explain everything to me on what I was seeing and why there were cracks. He even suggested how we could straighten out the warped beam over time. It was a huge relief for me to know I did not have bigger problems.

Great work and fair price. On time, on budget. Great communications.

I received a very prompt response to my request for an estimate. The man who did the estimate was very knowledgeable, made suggestions of how we could do this thoroughly but less expensively than the structural engineer had discussed (although he too had been very good, he is an engineer and therefor extremely thorough), and really knew what he was doing. He told me right up front that they would probably be unable to even start the job for 4-6 weeks, which was okay with me because I liked the estimator and wanted to use that company. First they got the permits, then they called to schedule the start date. It was, as promised, about 5-6 weeks after we initially met. The guys showed up promptly on Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. I talked to them for a few minutes and then they left to get supplies. They came back and got right to work. As anticipated, it took about 4 days, but it was not quite as noisy as they had said it would be. My dogs were not even upset by the noise. Because I work at home and need to focus on what I'm doing, I told the supervisor to have the guys do what they needed to do, without telling me what was being done. I hired them because I trusted them to do it correctly. So apart from me spending some time showing them around yard so they could do what they needed to do, and telling them about making sure not to leave the gate open, etc., I was rarely having to interrupt my work to answer questions. Of course, they consulted me when necessary, but it was nice to not have to micro-manage them. They took the amount of time they said they would, and I paid them exactly what was estimated. They were great.
