Very well, hey shaped the tree beautifully

We contacted 3 different Tree removal companies on same day service. Even though it is not something that is reasonable, except in an emergency situation, they were the only company out of the 3 that showed us courtesy and professionalism in responding to our inquiry. Not only did they respond they also reached back out a second time just to say thank you. The other 2 companies will never earn our potential business. Pacific West Tree Company will be the first we call. Professional, Courteous and right on time!

Alex and his amazing crew trimmed our trees in both the front and backyard. Our Eucalyptus trees are quite large and overgrown and now they have shape and are ready for the rains this winter. We highly recommend Pacific West Tree Care.

went fine - Alex was on time, very knowledgeable and professional. Other than inspecting the trees, there were no other services performed, but based on his other AL reviews and my encounter with him this morning, I would consider him for any tree-related jobs going forward.

Went great, Alex was on time, very knowledgable about all the trees on property and their varying issues. I had neglected many of them for years and his assessment seemed reasonable and fair for the work needed. Had originally wanted someone to come out and look at an infested Peach Tree, he gave me all the info on how to manage the situation, what to replace it with etc. Now making arrangements to have him come out and do full service on all the property trees.

Arrived at the house on time and was very responsive. We had paid for 30 minutes and although the arboritist was here for one tree in particular we had a couple more plants we had questions about. He answered the questions but seemed rushing to get to the next appointment after answering questions about the tree in question. Overall the experience was good and he seemed knowledgeable and responsive to our questions.

Alex is very knowledgeable and was able to tell me what needed to be done soon, and what could wait... despite the effect that drought conditions had taken on a couple of trees. This will help us budget for when the actual work is performed.

It went great! Both appointments were kept early, the work was done exactly the way I wanted it, the men were all very polite and they did a great job on the trees. Also they cleaned up beautifully before they left. I had been looking for someone like this for a long time. So glad angie helped me find them. I will definitely use them again.

Did an excellent job. Came on time. Protected property with plywood ~ fish pond, a-c condenser, window. Topped/trimmed the tree as requested and cleaned up (raked and blew the yard). Since they're located near my place they used the job as a fill-in (small job), so by the time they finished, there was 6 uniformed guys on my tiny little job. Needless to say the job was done quickly. Will hire again when the tree will require another trim.

I have used this company on at least 3 other occasions, and at 2 other properties over the last 4-5 years. I've never been dissatisfied with their service. Whenever I have called to schedule an appointment for estimation or for the actual work, they've shown up at the agreed-upon time, and then get right to work. On this last occasion I couldn't be present when they were working, or when they left, but they left the place cleaner than when they arrived. I also asked them to leave the large pieces of wood for a friend of mine, and they left it cut up neatly where I indicated. All the work was done quickly (they arrived at 7:15 am and were done by 12:30pm), there was no and quot;collateral damageand quot;, and the place was really clean. For all the excellent work they did, I feel the cost was very fair. This is my go-to tree service.

Work was actually scheduled for Tuesday, June 17, 2014. PWTC called in advance to reschedule due to prior job having to be extended. They were very courteous, and gave as much notice as possible to let me know they had to reschedule. I have used their services MANY times in the past and will continue to use their services in the future due to their punctuality and expertise. Alex is VERY knowledgeable about trees, and their care. Everyone at the company is friendly, timely, professional, and they take pride in what they do. I highly recommend their services!!

This was the second time we have used Alex' services. The first time around I got estimates from a number of providers and settled on his company. This time around I didn't even bother with multiple estimates. Alex immediately understood our goals and made sure he was present for the tasks requiring a more diligent hand, leaving his crew only to do the more obvious tasks like trimming the palm tree. His crew was pleasant and attentive, and when one of their new guys dumped some leftover lunch behind a bush in the flowerbed, they were immensely apologetic, and of course cleaned everything up immediately. Speaking of cleanup, nobody does it better than these guys, not a twig left behind. Pacific West is my only call for tree care.

The crew showed up promptly before 7:30 a.m., and worked steadily until leaving at roughly 3:30 p.m. Their equipment includes a large chipper/shredder pulled behind their truck, that funnels the chips into the truck, so they reduce the limbs and what not to chips on site and take it all with them. This was a crew of at least 5. The bulk of the job involved thinning and trimming the Italian Stone Pine (the bid from another company was over $2,000 for trimming/thinning just this one tree) - this was difficult work and dangerous -- done roughly 20 to 40 feet off the ground, roped up in the event of a fall, with ropes used to lower the larger cut limbs to prevent damaging the landscape below. The crew did a great job in protecting a vegetable garden below this tree -- even setting plywood as a type of tepee to protect plants in the garden. They did a good job trimming the pine -- it is now more open and allows more light into the yard. Also, they did a good job trimming the old avocado trees -- they now also are more open in the middle, off the roof, and look good. Some of the trimming was minor only -- such as removing limbs that crossed in the middle of the trees - and was well done also. The bottle brush trees look much better also, and even now, two weeks after the trim, are in bloom and visited by hummingbirds and bees. There was one minor issue of responsiveness -- the crew did not trim back the growth on one side of the pineapple guava tree to shape/balance the tree, the supervisor on-site said the tree was trimmed and done, and Alex who explained to me how the tree would be headed back when he prepared the estimate, was not on-site at the time to explain to the crew. They did a good job of cleaning up -- it probably was cleaner after they left than it was before. Overall, they did very good work for the agreed price and got it all done in a day when another company might have taken days.

They were very good. The owner is very competent, nice, patient, and accommodating. I've found the staff that did the work very professional also. I would be happy to use them again.

From beginning to end, this company was exemplary. They were extremely pleasant and worked very professionally together and I was extremely pleased with their overall performance and almost wish I had more trees to trim as I would definitely invite them back to work at my house anytime.

Rescheduled a few times due to rain, which was handled very professionally (especially compared to other tree services that often do not bother to return phone calls). Did work on a Saturday to help overcome the weather issues. Crew arrived at house punctually, followed shortly thereafter by owner/tree arborist, Alex. Did excellent job on transplanting pygmy date palms, which was main job. Involved removing plants from broken-down redwood planter and replanting them in new concrete planter, moved into old planter's position on patio. Put gravel and sand at bottom of new planter and planter soil, and carefully replanted palms. Also put some of our bricks under new planter for better drainage. And re-did sprinkler connections and heads in the new planter, and tested that it worked properly. We were very happy with this work. Removal of the wisteria and roots was also well done. Removed completely along with chain link fence that was holding it in front of redwood fence. For giant bird of paradise, which is very mature and huge, the work was only fair. I would have liked to have had the owner, who had left earlier, to have returned to check the work. The crew was good, but we had to and quot;remindand quot; them to remove all the dead flowers. They did remove some of the limbs, extra growth, and some small sprouts per the written proposal. Work I've had done on this tree in the past was always very clean and beautiful (maybe I was spoiled by this expectation). Many dead leaves were left on the tree, and the leaves on the tree branches that were cut were not done neatly. Tree just didn't have the clean look I've gotten in past trimming work. We let it go since the major work on the tree was done well. Overall, some of the work was excellent and some just satisfactory, resulting in an overall and quot;goodand quot; rating. We would use this company again because there is expertise provided. I would just request that if the knowledgeable owner leaves the job for part of the time(which I don't have a problem with), that he return before all the equipment is put away for a final inspection.

They asked to reschedule the day which was fine. Were half an hour late arriving but given all the equipment they brought, that was ok, too. They did a lot of work for us! Alex and Fernando and the crew cut back two huge willow tree branches that were overhanging and covering our roof They also removed a 35-ft palm tree and a Christmas tree that was about the same height. (Never plant baby Christmas trees from the supermarket! They grow up ugly and cause big problems!) Both stumps from the palm and the pine tree were ground up. All debris was carried away, including an almost endless procession of willow tree limbs and the many pounds of dead willow leaves that had already accumulated on the roof. A very safety-conscious, very hard-working and very professional crew. Friendly people, too. I'd definitely hire them again and have already recommended the company to other people who are thinking about doing something about overgrown trees. And their estimate was one-third below another company's.

. I like the guy. I have been having him since I owned this house. He does excellent work. His estimates are spot on. He works with me. He cuts it the way I like it. He is a certified arborist. He cuts it in such a way that it does not look like it has been cut. He tells me something things and I have learnt to believe him such as it looks like twigs and is never going to come back. He does not climb a tree with spikes but uses ladders and ropes. He has got reasonably newer equipments. He brings out a crew and gets the job done and they are on their way. His payment is subjective and depends on individual circumstances. I had trees dying got them removed. He did a good job and he even replaced the bricks so it did not leave a big hole in the ground. He has taken care of my Bougainville when it has fallen over and when it wanders on the wall, he trims the plant. That was a big job which I could not handle on my own. Of course he charges. I would use him in the future.

They were careful of my other surrounding plants; fast and accurate cutting; good clean-up afterwards.

We were looking to have a 10 to 12 foot Lemon Tree moved across our back yard in preparation for some upcoming construction work. I was having difficulties finding a tree service that did transplanting. Even though they didn't list it among their services, I thought, based on ratings, I would give Pacific West a try anyway. When I called their offices, I was told that they actually DID do transplants. Nice surprise! We set up an appointment for Alex to come out and give us an estimate. Before the appointment actually happened, Alex called us directly. He had been thinking about the situation and wanted to point out the potential costs for moving the tree versus buying a new one. Armed with the new information, we decided to cancel the appointment. I always appreciate when a vendor doesn't try to sell you on something you don't need. I will go back to them in the future!

It went great! Alex has an asthetic eye. He just doesn't "cut' a tree, he cuts it back so it looks great, or will "grow in" and "fill in" properly. Totally professional and top-notch. Shows up on time. His crew is excellent. They clean up well. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
