Their technician Phillip Villalba was amazing and made sure I was pleased with everything he did and the way it was done. He explained all the repairs to me that were done. I was extremely pleased with his work and his attitude and his professionalism.

Original cost seemed high but I needed the work done and they came out to look at the job on the weekend. After they started the work they informed me the cost would be higher. They asserted the original bid was not all inclusive, which was not my understanding. We then negotiated a price between the new higher price they had asked for and the original bid. Because they had begun the job I paid the extra.

Two New-Pipe people arrived quickly. They ran a camera through the cleanout at the front step of the house and showed me what they said were roots and damage to the mainline pipe causing blockage which caused the shower to backup in one bathroom and the toilet in the other bathroom to flood the floor. They cleared the blockage but informed me that the pipe was in bad shape and really needed to be replaced as snaking it or power flushing it in the future would cause more damage. I agreed to replacing it for about $5700. They sent a crew the next day and dug a hole at the front door cleanout and another at the sidewalk. They threaded SDR-17 through the old pipe (trenchless technique). When they finished that, their supervisor informed me that there was visible damage to the clay pipe which runs beneath the front sidewalk to the main sewer line in the street. I could not really determine by seeing what damage they were referring to so decided to trust what I was being told by the supervisor that he could save me money by taking care of it now so I wouldn't have to have the hole at the sidewalk dug again later when there would be a problem. This was disturbing and I probably should have declined this additional job proposal to "perma-line" the existing clay pipe as a preventive measure suggested by the supervisor. There seemed to be a sense of urgency and think I made a mistake in accepting the supervisor's opinion and therefore the amount of money I ended up paying was twice as much as I was prepared for as the total for both jobs came to about $10,000. I have to say that the supervisor and the men working for him were all polite and worked hard--no question about that; however, my own lack of knowledge of plumbing problems and solutions and cost probably cost me more than I should have paid. If I had it to do over, I would have definitely called at least one other plumbing company for an assessment and bid. Instead, my own ignorance and sense of urgency that this needed to be taken care of immediately or it would probably cost more if I delayed, caused me much stress and money.
Description of Work: Re-piped mainline from outside house to sidewalk (about 40 feet) because both bathroom toilets and showers/baths were not draining, they said, due to damage from roots since the house was built in 1964. When this was done, they informed me that the mainline continued as an old clay pipe from the sidewalk to the street sewer and this also needed to be repaired (with perma-liner) at additional cost and I could save money by doing it now so they would not have to dig another hole later.

Removed jammed p-trap (whatever that is) in garbage disposal unit. cleared long drainage line by running cable through it, installed new p-trap. No leaks were found, all components were operable. This was the second time we had called New-Pipe for an emergency visit. The first in February this year involved a nonfunctional toilet. They came immediately and installed a new fill valve, which was all that was needed to restore full function. Cost then was $135.

I called them at around 12n, having called three other companies who couldn't find an available time... The front desk for New-Pipe was very polite she quickly scheduled appointment within the next few hours! I was floored! I had a flight in 12 hours and was pretty much ready to give up! She called me two more times to keep me updated on the technician's timetable! She was great! When the technicians arrived they got here on time, and Leo introduced himself immediately and gave me his business card. He took the time to listen to all of my theories and walked around the problem areas. He pulled out appliances and made a through inspection of each of the areas that may be contributing to the leak. He explained to me where he thinks the leak was and he asked permission to cut into some of the drywall. He did a great job minimizing the damage to the wall and within 10 minutes determined the location of the leak. He shut of the valve that was sending the water and wrote up an estimate for recommendations to avoid this from happening again. While he was cleaning up the drywall I asked him how much I owed him for all his work - he said I don't owe him anything! What?! I was ready to fork over money for the hole he made in my ceiling - he said not to worry and let the space in the wall dry. He referred me to a wall repair company that can fix any water damage and that was it! Great company! Great employees! Great Experience! I'm not sure why some of their reviews have been so negative - as far as I'm concerned they are worth the call! I never never have time to write reviews, especially when I'm about to catch a flight- but I thought that this review was the least I can do for such an outstanding company. Well done!
Description of Work: I had an unidentified leak dripping from the ceiling of my garage. I had to fly out the following day for a two week trip and needed someone to come in and look at the problem.

Ordered the online special, and they were confused about the order. It took a few days to sort out payment even though it was done through Angie's List coupon. Once they got to the house the communication was done over the phone. The technician said I didn't have a clean out and quoted me an extra $600 which I agreed to pay. The work has been completed to our satisfaction.

The upsaler had the audacity to tell me our unit was inadequate and that the folks who sold us the tankless water heater are only in it for parts. Then he proceeded to upsale me and insulted my husband and all of the research he had done before purchasing this current unit.--Really? New Pipe, you insult my intelligence!
Description of Work: It is what the provider eventually didn't do and did do. We had them install a tankless water heater and after 3 long days and not wiring it correctly, they called in a master electrician from outside their staff. Now, we are having problems with the elements and we think it is because they wired the unit wrong in the first place and damaged the elements. Now we're having to replace all of the elements and finally after they sent another staff member out who only tried to upsale me to a different machine, are willing to offer me the master electrician's number who corrected the installation situation. I had asked for this person but got the upsaler instead. I won't back to New Pipe. I have lost confidence in them altogether. They really should have admitted their lack of knowledge with this particular tankless heater in the first place.

This is an email I sent to the company: This short note is to commend the outstanding work by Marco and the crew working under his supervision. It was a filthy, back-breaking job. Every man on the crew did their job with no rest, no complaints, and with the greatest consideration and respect for me the customer, as well as my neighbors and the passersby on this busy street. This is the background: There was a blockage in the drain pipe under my house. I called a contractor who cleared it with a rooter in less than a minute. He offered to put a camera in the main line at no charge. Until then, I didn?t know there was a problem. That company discovered there was water in the main drain, and gave me a price of $4500 to start digging, but no guarantee about fixing the problem. Then I contacted New-Pipe. Using the hydro-jetter, camera and so on, Marco analyzed the problem and in retrospect, Marco figured it out exactly right. But the fix would have cost a lot more. I got two more contractors, also highly experienced and recommended, to look at the problem. These two much older experienced guys came to the same conclusion as Marco, which in retrospect was entirely correct. And both quoted, by coincidence exactly $1,000 less than New-Pipe. I offered the job to one of those competitors subject to when they could start and finish the job. Before that company owner called me back with the start/finish date, Marco called me again to follow up. The big concern for me was having a fixed price for fixing the problem, regardless of how many hours or days the job required. If New-Pipe couldn?t guarantee a price, it would not have gotten the contract. New-Pipe started the job on Monday. We all would have been happy if the job were done on Wednesday, but instead it took until today (Friday). It was a bigger job than anyone anticipated. I will highly recommend your company.
Description of Work: Responded to slow-draining main sewer caused by blockage of sewer main under L.A. city sidewalk and street caused by roots of trees on city parkway. Dug ten feet under L.A. city sidewalk to replace about two feet of 6" clay city sewer lateral at the junction of 4" homeowner's lateral. From there, hydrojetted approx. 24 feet of city's clay sewer pipes to the sewer main under the street and lined pipes from my property to the city sewer main from the inside with the common system o fabric reinforced plastic.

They came out to the house and checked out a leaky shower. They said the shower valve needed to be completely replaced and quoted me $1,200. I called around for quotes on shower valve replacement. (Michelangelo Plumbing quoted $750 so I had them come right out. When they arrived, their guy was extremely professional and honest. He informed me (and showed me) that the valve was not only ok, but in excellent shape. Only the faucet needed to be replaced, which he did in under an hour. $103. If you need a plumber, go with Michelangelo. NOT New-Pipe.

The tech did the job OK, but had a bad attitude about his job. This did not make me feel good about using that company again. I use then because they had a deal on Angie's list which saved me $100.00 on the job and other reviews were good about the company. The job took extra time, since the tech did not have all the needed parts on his truck and needed to purchase them prior to starting the job.

Marco and his associate are life savers. I had a backed up cleanout over the weekend. I saw the hydrojet Angie's List special and called Sunday morning. Since the special wasn't available on the weekend, they came out within the hour that Sunday to snake the sewer line and get my pipes back up and running and then returned the next morning on schedule to hydrojet the line to the street at the special rate. Punctual, pleasant and knowledgeable, great price and incredibly accommodating. I will be calling them again whenever I have need. Many thanks.

Stephan and his team are amazing. They came in on a Saturday to give an estimate and ended up staying to actually complete the list of things that we wanted to get done. Thankfully we live close to a Home Depot because Stephan drove there twice to pick up supplies that we needed for this project. It was very nice of him to actually go through the hassle of driving to Home Depot and get the supplies because we had no clue what we needed to start this project. He and his team were told us in detail of what needed to be done and also how it was done. They were very professional and worked with us to make sure that everything that was done was within our budget. They also stayed behind to help us install our appliances that came in later that day. They did not leave a big mess for us to clean. I highly recommend this plumber and will be in contact with this company for all future plumbing needs.

This group was very nice to work with and I would highly recommend them for any plumbing needs. They were very reasonably priced, professional, thorough and efficient. A+ grade. Thank you to Al, Marco and Elba.
Description of Work: The first time I called New-Pipe was 11:00am on a Saturday morning (4-20-13) when I noticed our downstairs toilet had overflowed and that there was a water puddle growing in our backyard...Uh oh. I looked up New-Pipe on Angie's List and within 45 minutes, "Al" arrived to take a look at the problem. Apparently we had a main line stoppage. He snaked the main from a cleanout near the backyard. When he put a camera down the drain, he found roots had broken into the main from a nearby tree, and that "debris" was getting caught on the roots and blocking the line. He cleared what he could to allow the main to drain, but warned that it was a temporary fix. There was about a 4ft section of sewer pipe that would ultimately need to be replaced due to the root damage, but this would require excavating through concrete, etc., to reach it. I was going to have to think about this one and discuss it with my husband when he got home the next day. Estimate to jackhammer concrete, excavate trench, replace 4 ft section of pipe and patch concrete _$725. Al charged me $85 for snaking the main and getting the water flowing again. He was professional, friendly, and efficient. The following Saturday (4-27-13), we woke up to an strong sewage smell and found that some water was seeping out of our cleanout near the backyard. Again we called New-Pipe and told them it looked like our main line might be blocked again. This time, "Marco" came out to look at the problem. He ran a Spartan 300 drain gear to temporarily unclog the main line leading downstream to the city sewer connection. He recommended two options from there: 1) clear main drain with gas hydrojet-level 3 to clear main drain up to 100ft ($450) or 2) perform a trenchless install of 4" HDPE pipe up to 50 ft by method of 'pipe burst' along with excavating at front of property to install a new cleanout ($6000). We opted for the hydrojet option. Marco came back later that morning with his assistant, "Elba" to do the hydrojet clearing of the main. Once that was completed, they ran a camera down the entire line and found two areas where the pipe was disintergrated and could collapse. We paid them $450 for the hydro-jet procedure and decided to think about whether to replace the sewer main completely. We called New-Pipe the next day (Sunday) to get on their schedule to have the main line replaced. A crew came out the next day to replace the main using the 'pipe burst' method, and also installed an additional clean out at the front of the property (per code). They were finished by approx 4pm and they did a nice job of cleaning up. They subtracted the $450 from the hydro-jet rooting job from the $6000 for the main replacement. This group was very nice to work with and I would highly recommend them for any plumbing needs. They were very reasonably priced, professional, thorough and efficient. A+ grade. Thank you to Al, Marco and Elba.

We had an appointment to meet at my house at 12:30. When I arrived at 12:15 they were waiting. I liked this. I did not know about hydro cleaning pipes and had asked for a roto-rooter type job. They rootered my main out and then we looked at the tv view and saw the roto-rooter had basically cut a small hole through a thicket of roots in the pipe. I didn't like this. At this point my bill was $125 and they explained the hydro cleaning technology to me. They also explained that I could get on Angie's List and buy a coupon for Hydro cleaning for $150...or $25 more than I owed now. I really liked this. So I signed up and they drove 20 miles back to Sun Valley to get the hydro cleaning equipment. When they returned they finished the job in an hour or so and left things immaculate. Marco and Alba are great professionals to work with, I feel I received far more value than I even imagined possible at a great price. Since, I have seen hydro cleaning advertised for $700. These are real pros and I will definitely do business with them again.
