New-Pipe Plumbing & Rooter

My general sense of plumbing/plumbers is that they are outrageously expensive. I know about overhead, insurance and blah, blah, blah, but two guys for about 8 hours with maybe $150 worth of parts... well you do the math.(I remember getting estimates for replacing a wax toilet ring once and they ranged from $120-$180...for a job that took me maybe 45 minutes and 5 bucks for the ring....(and I'm a girl folks.. this ain't rocket science). That being said, Stephan was conscientious about overseeing the work. The estimate and the cost were the same and comparatively speaking it was slightly less than the 4 other estimates I got.... and believe me, they ranged widely. I appreciated that he examined the sewer line ahead of time to asses the situation (some others didn't... I guess they figured they were going to replace the line so why bother to look at it?) and he was finished in one day as we both had hoped. Now that I know Stephan, I will probably use him again in the future.

Very well. Quick return phone-calls, he shows up when he says he will or calls to tell you he's running late. Follows up to make sure everything working properly. I highly recommend.

Based on a promise that I would join they gave me the 10% discount they offer to all customers from this site. I also found the price very convenient for all the work the crew did. I had one another estimate and the price was significantly higher and that company charged me for an estimate. New Pipe didn't, free estimate, excellent price, and unforgettably outstanding service. I would refer this company to everyone.

Stephan and his crew were fabulous. Communication by e-mail and phone was prompt. Stephan was punctual and effective and -- unusual in a contractor -- interested in a satisfying outcome. He initially could not find the cause of the tub faucet leak, but refused payment even though he had taken time to look for parts and returned. At his prompting I managed to obtain warranty-covered parts from the manufacturer, and Stephan unlocked the secret to installing them. Problem solved. Toilet and sink jobs were done quickly and well. Stephan even gave us a small discount in the sink work to make up for not being able to fix the tub faucet the first time. Topping off our good experience, I later found that the water was set to an overly-hot mix and Stephan returned yet again and made it right. We are very happy and feel well-treated. Highly recommend.

Stephan, the company owner, responded quickly, came out for an estimate, worked around my schedule for a Friday and Saturday. Showed up on time both days, did exactly what they contracted for, left us with water overnight, cleaned up after themselves and were very capable. When it turned out that a previous plumber had made an error with hot/cold to a shower, Stephan brought the crew back the next day to replumb that shower, and he came out a few days later to rooter a slow drain himself. Recommend highly, and the quote was $4,000 less than the other company we interviewed.

Stephan came for an estimate the same day I called and was very polite and professional. His estimate came out 2-5 hundred dollars lower than another plumber from Angie's list had given me. He would have done the work the next day but it was inconvenient for me so he came two days later. He arrived promptly at 8:30 with 3 guys and was in and out in 2 1/2 hours. He was gracious enough to replace some panels around the wall heater that he hadn't even removed, for no extra cost.

Excellent. Job took two days, were there on time and cleaned up after job.

New-Pipe Plumbing could not have been a better. They showed up when they said they would. Worked on a Sunday to repair a broken sewer line. They know what they are doing. I will call them for all my plumbing needs.

Great. Very nice from the guy who gave the estimate to the guys who came to do the work. Professional, thorough, very respectful. Did an excellent job and answered all my questions. The installation of the whole house water filtration system was an add-on and they were very accommodating. I would highly recommend this company and their work.

This company refused to even give me the loosest of estimates for a simple sewer line inspection. I can understand not wanting to give a phone estimate for real work on the line, but an inspection should have an upper limit, considering all they're doing is sending a camera down there. They offered to send someone out to do a free estimate, but we're in escrow on a house and don't have unlimited access, so I need to have that lined up ahead of time. Overall, a frustrating conversation.

Plumber arrived within about an hour of my initial call. They don't appear to charge extra for coming out on a Sunday. Greg used a snaking device to unclog the shower drain, and also gave recommendations regarding other work I'm considering (re-glazing the fiberglass tub/shower combo). His estimate to replace the trim kit started out at $600 but dropped to $450 when I told him that sounded really high. I told him I will get other estimates and use him if the price turns out to be reasonable for the work involved. I also have a brand new Kohler toilet that will need to be installed after my tile work is done and he said he could install it for no charge if I end up getting the trim kit work done. He unclogged the drain quickly and even cleaned the tub afterwards.

It went very well. Due to unforeseeable challenges, the initial quote kept going up...Very depressing. It was initially $9,500, then an extra $1,200 to dig up the yard through the bottom of some stairs, then $7,000 more due to the city pipe having issues. Quality of work is only a B because they cracked a concrete retainer wall while doing the job. Otherwise, excellent work.

The work went well. Pretty simple really. Initially he quoted me a price of $125 but then said he'd just take $75 because of how quickly the work was accomplished. He was very friendly and punctual.

Could not pull the blockage back out so they pushed it through till the line was clear. Toilet is working fine.

Stephan was easy to deal with and was very clear on what needed to be done and fair on his pricing. He and his crew showed up on time on the scheduled day. They worked very efficiently and cleanly. Job was done in in the time frame I was told. They did such a great job on the re-piping, I hired them to repair/replace the drainage system that was in place. This was also done, efficiently, cleanly, and timely.

Exactly as expected. Work was accomplished on time, with minimal disruption. Quality is excellent. We had no difficulties whatsoever.

They did a good job, but were on the pricey side. Bid the job at $850, and when I declined they said they could do it for $550 or $600. I said OK to $550, and when they came they said it would only be $500. I agreed to it, but still think $500 for two guys for an hour and 20 minutes, plus minimal parts, is a bit excessive.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, PROMPT AND VERY QUICK.

We have had problems over the years with our plumbing backing up. We would get it snaked out only to have it clog back up at shorter intervals. Our sewer line was infested with roots. We had 3 different plumbers come out to give us estimates and they ranged from $4000 to $15,000 to fix the problem. My husband and I both felt these plumbers were dishonest salesmen trying to take advantage of green homeowners. Thank goodness we found Stephan through Angie's List!! He came out the same day to give me an estimate. He was professional and explained things very well. He and his crew started first thing the next morning. The job took a day and a half to complete but I was able to use my plumbing except for very short intervals. (Important for a stay at home mom with a 3 and a 5 year old!!) They cleaned up well after the job was finished and the crew that worked for him were all courteous and professional.

Stephan (estimator) showed up on time, gave complete estimate. Work started when he said it would and ended when he said it would. Because of the complexity of the job, he had to lay much of the pipe in the roof. Not ideal, but it worked. Cleanup after each day and minimal intrusion on our life. Couldn't match custom plaster, but he told me he couldn't. Did some other plumbing work without extra charge. Split cost of additional roof repair not in estimate.

Although I went with a firm my contractor had worked closely with in the past, I was very impressed with Stefan's bid. I got bids as high as $12,700 for this work. He seemed like a total pro and a good guy.

The person sent was a subcontractor named Alfredo that did the job perfectly well and was very professional.

They were very clean and courteous. They were patient with my many questions and were very helpful.

Perfect. Stephan and his crew removed and hauled away all of the old piping, came up with a new and simpler configuration and re-piped with copper, patched all the walls, and they did it all in a day and a half. They answered all of my questions, responded to phone calls immediately, and didn't charge me a penny more than the estimate. They also made sure that I had water in 3/4 of the house at the end of the first work day so that nobody was inconvenienced. They left the house and yard cleaner than when they arrived.
