The two gentlemen who came were courteous, friendly, and respectful. While the one worked on the problem the other answered a few questions about a tankless water heater and copper piping. A free estimate could be scheduled the next day for the piping if we were interested. About 45 minutes later the leak was fixed and it turned out to be a cracked bolt. They took the time to show us the crack and tested the functionality of the hot and cold water controls.

Repair was very quick- a matter of changing the shower head! The shower head had come from Target and was the cause of the problem, no problem with pipes. That was the good news.
Description of Work: tenant unit had a problem with the shower pressure. I had checked it myself. Cut-off was turning off shower head.

Mike arrived an hour earlier than scheduled. It only took him about 15-20 minutes to diagnose the problem. The leak was in a pipe behind our bathroom wall and he had to remove 3 small areas of wall to find it. Once he found it he quickly and easily fixed the leaky copper pipe. He also put a timer on my hot water circulation pump which I had no clue was needed and has probably been the reason why we've had so many little leaks in the copper pipes. I was very impressed by Mike's work and felt like he was being honest about what had to be done.

I got quotes from several plumbers and went with New Pipe. Stephan is the owner. Call him if you have any problems. They were great and took care of everything on my list. I have used them several times in the past month, and will call them again if I have another problem. Alot of people are idiots and frustrating to deal with. New Pipe was great to deal with!
Description of Work: New Pipe installed toilets, upgraded some plumbing, and rootered my sewer lines. They were professional, and fairly priced, given that plumbing is expensive anyways.

NEW PIPE AND PLUMBING are my heroes! Don't hesitate to use these folks. They turned a plumbing nightmare into a mangeable and affordable situation. Here's what happened: I woke up at 1 AM to the sound of gushing water. I wondered if it could be coming from our sprinkler system. But the sprinklers don't turn on at 1:00 so that didn't make sense. I ran downstairs and outside and discovered- to my horror- that water was flooding out of an old pipe. After consulting Angie's list I called Stephan at NEW-PIPE AND PLUMBING and he had someone to our house at 7AM. The plumber- named ASHOT- analyzed the situation, figured out exactly what was wrong, discussed my options with me, and then made the repair. His work was clean, efficient and thorough. This was one of those rare plumbing situations in which I felt happy to write out the check for the work. Thank you, Angies List for leading me to NEW PIPE.

Owner of the company came and gave an estimate on the faucet plus the replace of an outside shower. Both would have cost $740 (with AL discount) which we did not have. I called the next morning to ask for the faucet job only. The owner went to the store on Saturday morning to get the two stamps and sent 2 guys who arrived promptly as promised. The job took about 30 minutes. As described the day before, I was charged $175. The job was well done at the faucet, and they also checked the hot water heater deep in the basement to be sure it wasn't set too high, which can ruin stamps apparently. The guys also advised us about a stinky drain in an infrequently used bathroom (use clorox or run water a couple times a week). After the guys left, I remembered that they had not given me the Angie's List 10% discount. I called them on the phone, and they told me that the discount was included in the price. On Monday morning, I called the owner to report the conversation. Stephan did not hesitate to say that they would refund $17.50 to me immediately. There was no contention. It was a pleasure to deal with this company. The price seemed a little high, but I don't know what stamps cost nor what the going rate is for plumbers. I would rather pay a little more and get it done right the first time.
Description of Work: Replaced both hot and cold stamps on a persisting drippy kitchen faucet that a previous plumber had made even worse.

Great experience. The technician was running a little late, so he called me to let me know. He wasn't that late anyway. He snaked out the drain and fixed the problem. It was stubborn, but he kept on it as the clog was far into the drain pipe under the house. Mike was very professional and courteous. I was charged the exact amount that I was quoted.

I called New-Pipe to inspect a recurrent foul smell from the shower stall. I had previously hired a different plumber and he said the problem was definitely the trap which must be replaced. After fixing the trap, however, the smell kept coming back. Today, Grigor from New-Pipe came out and evaluated the problem. From his experience, he said the smell has nothing to do with our plumbing, but from trapped water under the tiles in the shower, that the tiles need new grout. This made sense because the smell comes out only after showering. He dissected the cause of the problem for us which is so helpful, and he was very professional & honest. We will definitely use them for our future plumbing issue.

We had just moved into a house that was a foreclosure no one had lived here for several months. Once we started using the water, we noticed it was backing up into 2 sinks. I called New Pipe in the morning and Ashot was the plumber who came along with an assistant. He was on-time, polite, and kept me informed of what was happening every step of the way. When a regular snake did not work, he told me he needed to go under the house in the crawl space and how much extra it would be. After much effort and a bigger snake- it still was not unclogged. Then he told me he needed to go on the roof and try the biggest snake they had and how much extra that would be. When even that didn't work, he had to cut out some tiles in the bathroom to get at the portion of blocked pipe. Someone had poured concrete in there before we moved in!! He went to Home Depot at 8pm to get a part he needed. He and his assistant worked hard for almost 6 hours- until 9pm at night!!! I told him he could stop around dinner time but he told me he did not want to leave me without water until the next day. He replaced the pipe, cleaned up the mess, and apologized for having to take out 7 tiles of the bathroom to reach the pipe. He was meticulous with his work and I so appreciated how he kept me informed on what was happening and what additional costs there were going to be. Ashot was fantastic! Thank you!
Description of Work: Two sinks were backed up in our new house and they came the same day to snake them. Ended up that someone had poured concrete down our pipes so it became a major job.

This company is phenomenal. Stephan showed promptly for an estimate and gave the house a thorough look-thru. He listed all the work that was needed (and it matched the home inspector's assessment). He said he would do it for $4,500. I agreed, a schedule was set and he left. Every step was like clockwork. They showed on time, did every job quickly and professionally, they added a couple of extra projects to the list that Stephan thought could use it (like installing the shower heads) and the cost was exactly $4,500. I simply cannot recommend these guys enough.

The project went on for about 2 hours, Ashot communicated with us along each step to let us know what he would be doing. Ashot was friendly, polite and a capable plumber.
Description of Work: Contacted New-Pipe and the person who answered phone was courteous and told me she would contact someone immediately. Ashot showed up with assistance from Aaron. We explained our leaky pipes (2) outdoors which were located in separate areas. Ashot assessed the situation for safety (we live on a hillside) and one of the leaky pipes was on a slope.) He proceeded to repair, he also contacted his office to confer. He was most polite, thorough and very professional. It was such a relief to have the repair done. We received a 10% discount. During the time that Ashot worked on the repair, we turned off our electricity including our electrical water heater. Afterwards, we didn't have hot water, something had occurred with our water heater. We called again, Ashot came back another day, checked everything, but our water heater was electrical and they only work on plumbing issues. Ashot spoke to Steven the owner, who said he would send an electrician the following day. The following day the electrician, Art of Arto Light showed up and we had no reservations about him since he had been sent by Steven. You will see my report about the Art in another report. I highly recommend New-Pipe Plumbing and would not hesitate to call them back. We were very happy with their workmanship.

Grigor came in person immediately. Each step of the way he was very clear about what they were doing and potential cost. He tried every cheaper option for me before we arrived at the excavation. They dug a very deep hole on my property to avoid going in on the city side tho that might've been easier for them. All dirt was piled neatly on a tarp, and by the time they refilled the hole, you couldn't tell any portion of my yard had been dug up. Amazing. Each step of the way he took time to put the camera in and show me exactly what was needed and why. He did this also after he installed the new pipe so I could see it. He guys were all knowledgeable, neat and hardworking. They came back the day after they filled the hole just to pack it back down so it was perfect and met their standards. This is a company full of honest, competent professionals. The nameless Rooter company who were my first responders gave me an initial bid of $18,000. When I told them what Grigori had estimated, they immediately dropped their bid to $7000. If you have plumbing problems and DON'T use Grigori, you're nuts.
Description of Work: I had a dislocated sewer main on my property going into the city main. They camera'd and jetted it. When that didn't work, they excavated and replaced the pipe. Everything works beautifully, is warrantied, and my yard is so immaculate you could never guess they'd dug a huge pit there.

My bathroom sink was clogged. After I called them, New Pipe sent someone out first thing the following morning. Their plumber was punctual, efficient and friendly, and the job was finished in less than 15 minutes. He cleaned up nicely afterwards, and explained how my pipes are pretty badly galvanized without giving me a hard-sell for thousands of dollars of work. [That part is true - my drain pipes are badly galvanized, so he wasn't manufacturing trouble to scare the customer. And when I get the cash to replace those pipes, I will definitely call New Pipe for an estimate on the job.] It was a small job they completed reliably and without any hassle. The only complaint I have is that they were the highest bid from all the plumbers I talked to. The rest of the quotes I got ranged from $75-$100. I went with New Pipe because they were the company that could get a plumber over to my house the quickest. The original quote was $150, but there's a 10% discount for Angie's List customers -- make sure to ask for it. Aside from the price, I can highly recommend New Pipe.

I called the company, spoke to a pleasant, cheerful woman who took my contact information. I received a return call same day from Stefan, who scheduled an appointment to come out to my house 2 days later during my lunch hour so I could minimize time off work. He was prompt and very pleasant. I appreciated that he treated me, a single woman, as respectfully as he would have a man, answering my questions completely and clearly without making me feel ignorant for asking. He gave me two options to complete the job: $3500 to replace just the pipes in the house or $4950 for the house plus the pipe out to the curb. We agreed to go with the complete option. He told me the job would take 2 days total and that the crew would arrive between 8:30 and 9 am on each day. I asked if someone needed to be at the house the entire time and he told me no, only to let them in and they could lock up when they were done if I wanted. My mom let then in on the first day since I had to work. She told me it was a crew of three guys, the "main" guy initially greeted her in English but switched to Spanish when my mother answered him in Spanish. Stefan arrived later to oversee the crew and my mom left around noon. When I got home that evening, my front door was indeed locked, as well as the back door but the outside door from the garage was left unlocked and the side gate was open. As I have two dogs, this could have been problematic but they luckily are old and don't wander far. I wasn't upset by this but I suppose some one else might want to know. They left a little bit of extra pipe and stuff in the back by the garbage cans but everything was cleaned at the end of the job on the second day. The inside of the house was very clean on both days. I was there all day on the second day. They crew arrived promptly, they got to work immediately finishing the job. They had to cut into the drywall in 2 places, both were neatly patched and sanded. I should also mention that Stefan agreed to add in the garbage disposal replacement for the cost of the additional parts only. Also, while the company does accept credit cards they wanted an additional amount to cover the amount the credit card company charges so I ended up paying with a check. When this came up, Stefan actually shaved a little off the price to make it an even $5000, which I thought was nice. I waited to file this to see if any problems cropped up but really it's been great. I have water pressure in my kitchen and 2nd bath, I can use both sides of my sink! This company really sets the standard for high quality workmanship and good customer service.
Description of Work: Copper repiping of 1200 sq ft house, including line out to the curb. House has raised foundation, built in 1950s with original galvanized pipes, except in main bathroom. Also, requested the company replace garbage disposal.

The plumber who came out was great. He came out on a Sunday to do the job and did it well at a reasonable price. For the second job they came early to the job. They were prompt, responsive, professional, and very nice on the phone. He fixed the leak and gave me a reasonable price. I never felt like they were taking advantage of my lack of knowledge in the area of plumbing in order to charge me more. If I ever have plumbing problems again I will definitely use them.

Professional and efficient. I had problems with the way some of the work was been done(piping was routed and welded in a back storage closet outside the dry wall to water heater)and I brought it up to Stephan, and he had it quickly corrected it without complaint. Three times he came back to make minor repairs on work done with out hesitation(once to replace an older external leading pipe into house that must have been bent and cracked when installing newer system and to replace a faulty faucet stem twice). This was over a 4-5 months after the initial work was completed! He never hesitated or complained to come back and repair any work done. I feel that Stephan is an honorable and trustworthy man. The kind of thing you don't find often in the urban home repair market. I feel lucky to have found him and would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Our sewer main was blocked and we have no cleanout valve in the front of our house. We had another company come to our house earlier in the day and quote us $1500 to hydro-jet the line from a 2" cleanout valve in the back yard and $250 to scope the main line to look for the blockage. New-Pipes technician removed the toilet in the downstairs bathroom and rootered out the blockage. He then ran the scope to show where the blockage was and marked where our new cleanout valve in the front yard should be. We will definitely use New-Pipe to put in the front yard cleanout valve after it stops raining.
