my sink backed up on saturday night so i called this company sunday morning and they said they could come out at 10am. they called back a while after and asked if they could come out around 3pm which i agreed to. then they called at 2:30 to say they were running late and asked if they could come out the next day for which i stated my frustration and dissatisfaction so they made it a point to come out around 4:30. they seem like a very upstanding, reputable company.

Were fast to assess the problem, evaluated another plumber's written opinion and then offered realistic solutions to address the work required.

He did a great job. I am now a little worried that I may have paid too much for the project, but I do not know the rates for plumbing. I am going to call some other companies so that I can compare. I don?t use plumbers very often so I didn?t have a benchmark for what it cost. After he left I felt what I paid was incredibly high. I called another plumber off of Angie's List after they left to double check on the pricing. The quote I got from them was half the cost of what New Pipe charged me. It doesn?t change the job they did or that he was nice, but I feel I was taken advantage of.

Jack is fast becoming our favorite plumber. He was right on time and efficient and so friendly. He diagnosed and fixed our problem right away (which was a slow draining bathtub) in about 15 minutes. Thank you so much and we will definitely use New Pipe Plumbing services again.

These guys are terrific, seem to know what their doing and I appreciate their professionalism. They are neat and clean. They even put on booties when they came into the house.

They did some extra work with no extra charge. Their pricing was very good and they also gave me a 10% discount. They cleaned up after themselves and the quality of their work was good. I was satisfied with their service.

I hired Stephan of New Pipe Plumbing to do full copper-repipe and install tankless hot water heater at my home a few years ago and working with Stephan could not have been any better; he is a pleasure to work with and attentive to detail. As a result, I have given his name/number to several friends for general plumbing needs -- unfortunately, with less than glowing results. I called for plumbing help in March 2008, stated I did not want Greg (per friend's negative experience) and was sent Mike. Mike was great and got the job done. So I called again in August 2009 for bathroom p-trap leak and had a horrible experience starting with Elyse who answered the phone and was just nasty, acting as if my call was taking her away from something much more important. Nonetheless, I explained my problem, stated I did not want Greg, asked for Mike (who was out sick) and was told that Art would arrive the next day. I was also told that Stephan was out of town on vacation during this time period. Art arrived on time, observed the "problem" with a flashlight from the hallway, stated he didn't have a replacement part which fit, but would get one and return. Art quoted a price and asked me to sign a contract in two places, but I took issue with the fact that contract stated things that were different from what he had said verbally. Art kept talking in circles, not saying much of substance, and took the clipboard from me when I asked him to stop talking as it was only making matters worse; Art walked out the door. I called another plumbing company who was a delight to work with and charged nearly half the price. Lesson learned.

They came when they said. I was satisfied with the cost. I would highly recommend them.

I have no complaints. I will use them for all my plumbing needs from now on.

Ashot was prompt and VERY professional and polite. I would definitely ask for him again. He came to look at a toilet that a plumber had snaked and "fixed" the day before. The first plumber I used told me if his snake job did not work, I would have to have the house drainage inspected with a camera and probably replaced. This would have been thousands of dollars. Needless to say, his snaking did last a day. Ashot came and used a professional sized snake and unclogged it. The toilet has been fine and it's been over 8 months. He said if it happens again, just replace the toilet. He was sure it was not a problem with the main plumbing since everything else in the bathroom was draining properly. He also explained why the toilet was shaky, that it just needed to be leveled.

What a horrible experience with this company. How did they get such a high rating?? I requested a free estimate on some plumbing work needed on a new home. On the day of the visit, no one showed up and no one called. I telephoned and was told they don't know what happened - So, I gave them another chance. My mistake! The next day I was telephoned by the company. The employee informed me that he could come out at the time of his call or later when we had scheduled the appointment. Since I was on the other side of Los Angeles, I suggested that we leave the time as is. This is when I was informed that their so called "free" estimates are NOT free at all. No one had spoke of this before but apparently this company charges an "inspection fee." I told him that this was not an inspection of the pipes or anything but rather an estimate for plumbing work (bathroom faucet replacement, water hose for my refrigerator, addition of a dishwasher, etc.) on my new home. He still insisted that this was going to incur an "inspection fee." To which I responded, "Don't you offer free estimates?" The response was even more absurd than his previous answers; he said, "The fee is separate from the estimate quote." WHAT?! I then said, "Look, you missed our appointment yesterday; wouldn't it be appropriate to waive this fee, meet me at our set time, and write up the free estimate advertised on your Angie's List site?" His response? "So, do you still want me to come out?" I hung up. Don't use this company unless you are prepared for an unfortunately stressful experience. Does this company just not need the work?

I was so happy with New-Pipe and its employees. The name of the plumber that came to my home is Ashot. He is really great. Professional, pleasant and considerate not to dirty up your home. They came when they say they would come and they charge me a fair price. Gave me an estimate first and it came out to be $20.00 cheaper. Did the job in a reasonable amount of time and like I stated before, can not complain. These guys are very good and I highly recommend them. I would definitely use them next time.

I discovered a toilet was leaking under the floor of the house - it must have been re-installed improperly by a flooring company a year earlier when they put in a new floor. I had used New-Pipe in the past, so I called for an estimate and made an appt for the next day. A plumber showed up 15 min early the next morning. Very professional and clean. Good communication skills. I explained the problem, he guessed the wax ring needed replacing. He gave me an estimate and told me he could do the work right away (after going to a supply house). The estimate was $150, which I recognize is kind of high for a relatively simple job of replacing a wax ring. On the other hand, it was worth it to get it done and out of the way, without the potential mess & hassle of doing it myself, or calling around and finding/interviewing other plumbers/handymen. So I gave my consent and the work was done within 1 hour. Everything seems ok and very clean. It will take some time to be sure everything is ok, though.

They were very punctual and came out right after I called. They had to go out and get another part and didn't charge me any extra. He was very courteous.

They were very prompt, quick, and professional in every manner. Their price was also better than anybody else?s.

Within an hour of calling New Pipe they arrived to give me a quote, and they were earlier than they said they would be. They were able to give me a quote on site, and they stuck to their price even though it took them slightly longer than they said it would to do the work, which was not long at all. They were also a pleasure to work with.

Since this was a major repair for my house I got 5 estimates from different plumbing / re-pipe companies. All of the other companies sent sales people out to bid on the job except for New-Pipe. Stephan the main plumber / owner came and gave me the estimate and explained the work to be performed. Stephan also recommended that I replace the water heater since it was nearing the end of its life and it would not cost anything extra (other than the cost for the water heater) to replace it at the time of the repipe. When I compared the estimates that I received for the repipe and water heater, the difference in cost between the 5 bids was not significant considering the size of the job. New-Pipe Plumbing was not the least expensive and they were not the most expensive. I was more comfortable going with them though because they did not apply high-pressure sales tactics, I was dealing with the plumber / owner, and they seemed honest / ethical. The fact that they had so many positive ratings on Angie's list with no negative ratings also heavily influenced my decision to go with them. My decision to go with New-Pipe was definitely the right decision. The work was completed in 2 days by 5 plumbers and Stephan. They showed up on-time and covered the flooring so that they did not dirty our carpet. The holes that were made in the walls, cupboards, and behind the toilets were remarkably small and were patched upon completion of inspection. When the tankless water heater was installed on the side of the house my wife was concerned that the remote (which hangs on the exterior of the house which controls the temperature of the water) would get damaged or would be played with by someone other than us. As a result Stephan went out and purchased a box with a lock and put the remote inside of the box on the side wall of our house. Stephan also installed a power outlet for the water heater and put in a shut-off valve on the hose bib in the back of the house in case we ever had a problem with the sprinklers we would not have to turn off the water for the whole house. At the same time I was doing the repipe I was installing a whole-house water filtration system. Stephan informed the water system company of a code violation in their work and helped them to install their system properly so that everything was correct according to code. All of this extra work was done at no additional charge. After the work was completed I noticed a small leak from the tub faucet. My wife had also noticed a small imperfection in the patching behind the bathroom toilet. I called New-Pipe and told them about the two minor problems and Stephan came out within 2 hours to fix both issues - pretty impressive especially considering that at this point they had been fully paid for the entire job. I would highly recommend New-Pipe to anyone needing plumbing work or performing a repipe. This was by far the least stressful and smoothest home improvement I have made to date.

New Pipe's owner was prompt for the estimation. He provided options and recommendations which surpassed two other competitors. Small items were taken care of without any hassles. A major aspect of New Pipe is Stephan's expertise (the owner). He evaluated different approaches for bringing in the new pipes. He was able to prevent any additional holes in our new kitchen cabinets by coming in from the outside. Other plumbers were ready just to drill through the cabinet walls-even floors.

Stephan from New Pipe made a very tough experience tolerable. I am executor of estate and found raw sewage pouring out of drain in yard. My family was considering moving to this house and decided to invest in re-piping. We originally called out another plumber for estimate $4400 w/ 5 year warranty for re-pipe only (no sewer). After reading AL reviews of New Pipe, I asked Stephan to give me a quote = $5100 w/ lifetime warranty and prev company did not include drain replacement. Also, prev company only in business 4 years, versus New Pipe >15 years. The quote did not include the sewer fix/replacement because without a camera, Stephan could not tell if it could be repaired or needed replacing. We decided to go with New Pipe b/c of lifetime warranty and years in business (what good is warranty if company goes out of business). Work was scheduled within a couple of days, crew showed up when stated and began work. Within a couple of hours of arriving, Stephan called to let me that sewer was in bad shape and that his crew couldn't get the camera passed a certain point. He could replace that portion using trenchless for ~$4k or re-route it for $1500. We went with reroute because the old sewer configure was weird anyway and the home inspector recommended rerouting before we started re-pipe. Once the crew could get the camera to the largest portion of the sewer, found that it was cracked/root bound all the way to the street. Because that portion runs along the house, trenchless was only way to go. Stephan quoted $5k to replace the remaining 80 feet of sewer. Also, our city hook up is 8' deep, so his crew would have to do shoring to safely complete the work. We asked Stephan for a day to think about it, he was SO nice and understanding. We quickly read AL to see how the $5k stacked up and found another person that went through a similar situation and found the city sewer was bad and needed another $7k. So we were possibly in for a total of $18k if we had city issues!!! Again, because of the roots, the camera could not pass far enough to see the city hook-up, so Stephan could not guarantee that would not happen to us. He arranged to meet us on a Sat for us to see that the camera would not pass and discuss our options. Because we don't have that kind of money and did not want to risk it, the crew hooked up the new sewer to the old 80' stretch for now. He has guaranteed the $5k for when we do replace it and even helped us out on the cost of the work he had already completed. My husband and I ARE NOT handy people and Stephan was patient, caring, understanding, and honest. We could not be more pleased with New Pipe and the work they did. One very important thing, Stephan was on site EVERY day that his crew was there. He didn't stay the entire time but made sure to check-in in person frequently.

The work was done carefully and efficiently. All of my questions were patiently answered.

I called them in the morning about a problem with my bathtub spout which was broken off. First of all, the receptionist was so helpful and friendly and arranged for the plumber to come out the same day! That was great. The plumber, Jack, even came early and started to get to work. He was very friendly and explained everything he was doing to me and really went out of his way to make sure I understood everything. He tried to save me money along the way as well. Once he diagnosed the problem, he gave me a very reasonable estimate and finished the whole thing in just a couple of hours. Very professional and prompt. I really liked their service from beginning to end and will definitely use them again.

New-Pipe met all our expectations. They were prompt, courteous, and finished the job and cleaned up the work site.

We have a multi-level home and New-Pipe was just amazing to work with. The entire project took about two and a half weeks. Each day there were crews of about ten men in our home. In order to re-pipe the house they had to break through the walls and they did a great job of cleaning up after all of the work. They did such a good job that there were some days where we could hardly tell that they were in our home. Stephan is the head honcho over at New-Line Plumbing & Rooter, he also happened to be the gentleman who came out to give me the estimate. I was pleased, because we ended up spending less than the original estimate.
