Overall it went great. Our hot water went out on New Years Day. They came out the next day to fix it. They are very responsible, responsive and reasonable in price. I will continue to use them in the future.
Description of Work: They came and installed a new water heater and new gages to allow me to reset the temperature on the unit.

My tenant called and said they smelled gas around our gas log fireplace on a Saturday morning. I called New-Pipe and they arrived 20 minutes later. They diagnosed the problem (a bad valve) and shut off the gas. I told them that I needed to check with my home warranty. The Home Warranty people gave me a runaround for 4 days, finally telling me it was not covered. I called New-Pipe again, and even after I had almost given the job to someone else, they were back within 2 hours. They gave me several options, (the pipes were going to need to be rerouted) and recommended that I cap the pipe for only $150, they can come back later when I decide on which of the permanent fixes I choose. They completed the work in less than an hour. They are prompt, fast, professional & friendly. Great company!
Description of Work: We had a gas leak do to a faulty valve. New-Pipe shut off the gas, removed the valve and capped of the pipe.

They got the sinks going, but it did not last very long. The price was pretty reasonable. He was running a little late, but he was very polite and seemed to know what he was doing. It went fine. He was very efficient. They are located less than four blocks from where I live and they told me that they would have a personnel by 10 o'clock and he did not show up till almost 11:30 and I did not like this.
Description of Work: We have used New-Pipe Plumbing & Rooter for plumbing. My sinks backed up and I needed someone to clear them.

It was extremely bad. They cut out all the piping without telling me and I was no longer able to use the gas lamps that had been installed in my backyard for decades and my gas fireplace was no longer working. I had to have them come back to fix all the work they screwed up. They looked at it and said they couldn't fix it and walked out. I profusely tried to get hold of them dozens of times and they avoided my phone calls. They did do part of the work but they screwed everything else up. They were cordial when they showed up but they never returned my phone calls. I would never use them again. I repeatedly tried to get hold of them because there was a tax credit for the tankless water heater they installed and they didn't return my calls so I lost the tax credit.
Description of Work: I used New-Pipe Plumbing & Rooter to try to fix something that they screwed up the first time they came in here. I have gas pipes lines to my fireplace and outdoor lighting and they rerouted the gas pipe lines without telling me.

Even though we spent more than we had originally planned, there were no surprises, Benny was very thorough and he explained everything every step of the way. The repair wasn't a complete shock, the plumber that cleared out our line the last time we had a stop up tried telling us that our only choice was a 7000 job which would take 4 days! I feel comfortable saying that Benny cared more about what we felt was best for us rather than the most expensive (which means more money for him). They worked their butts off so that they could finish in one day so that our house would be guest ready and cleaned up better than I ever imagined. We found ourselves a plumber and company for life!
Description of Work: After calling around and getting some quotes ( which varied from 99-150).I called New Pipe for the 79$ drain special I saw on their page. I was in panic mode and didn't really comprehend what that special entailed. The woman who answered the phone Mary (who was awesome btw) said that the technician Benny would be there within a hour. Sure enough 45 minutes later Benny was knocking on my door! He was very professional and explained to me that the 79$ special was only applicable if I had a cleanout which I didn't :( he gave me a price for removing the nearest toilet to the main pipe and rootering it from there as well as a quote for installing a cleanout and rootering it for free. Since it was plugged up and I needed it to not be, I told him I wanted him to remove the toilet and do it from there. He proceeded by wearing covers on his shoes and literally rolled out a red carpet so that his machine wouldn't ruin my tile (can you say WOW). After he was done, he stuck a snake camera down my line to make sure he properly cleaned my pipes which was extremely comforting. I ended up paying 175 which wasn't the lowest price ( since I got some lower prices over the phone) but I feel as if I made the best choice going with Benny. He was very honest and told us as soon as he was done looking at the line that he wouldn't be able to guarantee that it wouldn't back up again since the line was in such bad shape. He gave us a couple options, installing a cleanout ( so that next time it would be $79 to clear out the line) and the other option was to replace the line using a " Minimal dig" method. He notified us that if we made a decision in the next week we would get the 175 credited towards either one of our options. We decided to replace the line since he said that would come with a 50 year warranty!!! They arrived on time, started covering all the areas with tarp so that my grass wouldn't get ruined, they ended up staying late to finish the job in one day since I had friends from out of town coming to stay ( I was shocked that they didn't try to raise the price) as soon as they finished, they cleaned up so thoroughly that they left my property completely spotless as if they were never there and nothing had ever happened (which is super important for a neat freak like myself). Benny warned us that it would take some time for the grass to go back to normal, we were happy that they put it back as good as they had. At the end of the day we spent a lot more than we had first thought but the most important thing is that we were able to make a decision based on options that were presented to us. Call New Pipe and ask for Benny, you won't regret it!

The crew was on time for the 2 day job, worked hard, and finished in the timeframe they discussed. As far as quality of the work given it was a sewer line fix it's hard for a novice to tell (we've had no issues so far) so I can't say with credibility it was an A+ quality job but given the quality of the interaction with George I have every reason to think it was done with pride and quality. My only small quibble would be the landscaping replacement was not 100% as it was prior to the work, but I place that significance low on my list of priorities and only mention it to give a comprehensive review. Overall I would 100% do business with New Pipe again and have referred people to them.
Description of Work: Old house with sewer line that was 60 years old and needed to be addressed either by full replacement or refurbish. George at NewPipe came over on a Saturday, assessed the situation, and gave us the pros and cons of both; and while an upsell to the full replacement would have been easy to make he was very clear that the lower-cost option was completely acceptable from his standpoint. I appreciated his candor on that point

Noticed a leak in the ceiling and wall around the shower in the rarely used guest bathroom. We are on concrete slab so all the pipes are in the attic. We've used New Pipe and Plumbing for all our plumbing stuff over the last 8 years, so I called them to get an estimate. Every time I call them I am surprised by how sweet their receptionist (or office manager?) is. She is sympathetic and efficient which is exactly what I needed when I knew I was facing a big and expensive headache. She asked if I needed someone immediately or if she could schedule Stephan to come out the following day to take a look and give me an estimate. Since it was a guest bath, I had no problem waiting till the next day. Stephan arrived within the 2-hour time frame they quoted me, and was very polite and courteous at my door. He tried to put on booties over his shoes to protect my floors, but I told him it was unnecessary, though I appreciated the thought. He took a look at the problem, made a face and said that they would need to replace the risers, and swap out the faucet which was also leaking. None of this was a surprise-- the pipes have always made horrible groaning noises in that shower-- ahh the charm of a 75-year old house. Stephan walked me through the process (cutting through the drywall, pulling out the risers and replacing them, and then re-patching the wall and leaving it prepped for me to paint). He said it was hard to say until they got in there exactly how much of the pipes in the attic they would need to replace. He said ballpark $1500 to $1800 and he'd give me 10% off for being an Angie's List client. We also discussed the possibility of re-piping the whole house with copper for $5100 but I just couldn't afford to do that at this time. Stephan said they could start on it the next day if I wanted. I thanked him, told him I needed to talk it over with my husband, but that I'd call them. I didn't call other plumbers for estimates, I trust these guys and know they'd do it right. We scheduled the work with the super sweet office manager (Mary?) and Stephan called me to confirm times and to remind me that they'd be shutting off the water in the house for the repair. Again, on the day of, Stephan showed up with his crew on time and they got to work. These guys were fantastic-- they put drop cloths throughout their walkways and around the job site, and were always considerate. They found the leak, it was actually the result of a bad patch job prior to our buying the house, and when they got into the wall they realized that they'd have to do the pipe all the way to the toilet as well as the shower. Stephan explained that since they guarantee their work, they have to do it "right" and not cut corners, and any time you are patching the old galvanized pipes with copper, it is a delicate operation (see the original leak being from a bad patch job 10 years ago). He showed me the problem, I could see how rusty everything was. He said he'd just charge me for the material and the labor for the additional work. While they were doing the job, I asked him about the faucet on the sink vanity and he said he'd fix it for me-- also ended up being more complicated than we thought involving him going to the hardware store for a part, but he didn't charge me for it. All in all, at the end of the day (6 hours) even including the additional work he couldn't foresee, it came in under the original bid. It's the only time I've ever been delighted while writing a $1485 check, but to have the job go so smoothly, on time, with such courteous workers, and all for less than the estimate? I was delighted!! Sadly, I think we are moving... if only Stephan and New Pipe serviced the Seattle-area!!
Description of Work: We had a slow leak in our guest bath-- the repair would involve going into the wall behind the shower to replace the hot and cold risers and into the attic to replace leaking galvanized pipes with copper. Also replacing what I assume were the original shower faucet and fixtures from 1939.

I've used New Pipe plumbing twice thus far, but I won't be making the mistake a 3rd time. The first time, the technician Mario (who, for what it's worth, is a SUPER nice guy/good worker), was running way behind our 8am start time, so the call had to be rescheduled for the following day. The next day he showed up promptly, but as I stated above, found no problems in my sink and determined the clog issue was a problem in the main line of the apartment building. I paid for the service call, and that was that. On the second occasion, I made an appointment to clear a clogged bathtub drain. There is standing filthy water in my tub that makes it nearly impossible to take a shower without feeling like you're bathing down river from a sewage treatment plant. The office manager booked Mario for 8am again. I was happy it would be the same technician, as, despite his lack of punctuality the first time, was actually a really good guy and great plumber. This time, come 8:30am, Mario had still not arrived, so I called the office. The office manager claimed she had me marked down for 9am, and could not have booked an 8am call, as the staff had a meeting at that time. Welp, I'm sorry. You did book an 8am. The office manager apologized profusely, but I basically told her I'd take my business elsewhere. Maybe I'm being too h****** these guys. They are always very nice on the phone, and Mario was great in person. But come on. There are honest mistakes, and then there are honest mistakes when I'm ankle deep in tub sludge. Get it together.
Description of Work: 1st visit, checked a clogged sink. It was determined that the main line of the apartment building was clogged. No further work done. 2nd visit, no show.

I must first say that New-Pipe is my go to plumber. I have used them before for a copper re-pipe (my 1st job with them) , a replacement of the drain line under my duplex, and for rooting of my sewer line. I trust them, and they have fair prices. My new tenant called me yesterday and said the gas company had come out to turn on her gas, but the Gas co. had found a problem with the venting of the water heater. Because of my delay in getting back to her, she had called a plumber that had promised to come out between 9am and 1pm today. I called New-Pipe late yesterday, too late to get service last night, but they came out at 8am this morning to fix the problem (which made my new tenant very happy) Stefan said he normally charges 125 for the call/work done, but I guess since I have used them for multiple jobs, Stefan said no charge. Needless to say, I was very happy, and frankly is why I am writing this review so soon. I can't say enough good things about these guys (and gals at the office)
Description of Work: New-Pipe corrected a venting problem with my water heater, and while there spotted a leak from another water heater which he fixed, then he checked and tightened all the connections to both water heaters.

Overall, the experience was pleasant. They were professional, courteous, clean and respectful... They arrived on time and did all they said they would do and agreed on.
Description of Work: We had a major backup in the house and they diagnosed the problem almost immediately and did a temporary relief prior to actual repairs which included replacing sewer line. They scoped and rooted the line to determine the problem and had to dig approx 9 feet down in the front yard. Their work was clean, quick and professional. They gave us a fair price and the service was courteous. They even installed a clean out near the front of the house.

They arrived on time for a noon appointment which I thought would be the repair time if I accepted their bid but it turned out to be the supervisor giving an estimate. I decided to keep the traditional style water heater. The owner of the company Stephan and 2 repair guys arrived around 2:30. Stephan was professional and informative and supervised the job himself. They did the extra work to remove the extra electric unit including closing off the pipes and unwiring the 220 electric. They did a good job and I'd use them again. I have used them for several jobs and recommended them in the past to friends who used them for big jobs. The heater replacement was necessary and they did a good job, but it turns out the puddle of water came from a leak in the airconditioner drainage. I realized this when I went the inspect the new heater and there was a new water puddle after running the A/C for a few days during our last heatwave.
Description of Work: My main water heater had been having large temperature swings and one day there was a puddle of water underneath it so I looked like it has died. Got a new water heater, and removed an old 2nd water heater. I called New-Pipe early on a Monday morning to see about replacing it and asked about the tankless option. They said they'd send out a supervisor who's an expert around noon. I decided to take half a day of work off hoping they could replace it by mid-afternoon.

Fantastic - they are my go-to plumbers now.
Description of Work: I called New Pipe Plumbing to check on a kitchen re-do project that another contractor performed. The receptionist was very polite and helpful and Stephan returned my call within minutes and showed up by 8:30. He checked the situation and quickly figured out what the problems were and what they were going to lead to. The other contractor connected the dishwasher incorrectly and not to code specifications and re-installed the faucet badly which would have resulted in leaking. What I really appreciated about Stephan is he listened to my concerns and needs then gave me options and suggestions how to proceed. He called in extra help and Mario arrived a bit later and together they re-installed the faucet in a much better way, making room for the air-gap that the contractor failed to do and was able to use the third hole in the granite to install a soap dispenser. They replaced some of the major pipes with new pipe and re-fitted existing ones to ensure a tight leak-free system. Stephan and Mario worked very well together, they were a team and they were very focused on a quality job and my satisfaction. **And they were wearing blue booties over their shoes so as to not drag dirt in the house. **And after I wrote the check and got the invoice I mentioned Angieslist - and he gave me a discount after the fact, I wrote a new check and off they went. This sealed the deal for me. New Pipe is the only plumbing company for me.

It was a great experience. I have a 1350 square foot house that was in dire need of an immediate entire sewer line replacement. The workmen arrived on time and completed a two day job in one day. The price was certainly not on the low side of my estimates but I wanted a quality job and they delivered. Further, their guarantee is six times longer than any other estimate. I would use them again.

After getting the information for Angie's list i called this company for estimate. they came to give estimate and the price quote was $5000. we setup the service date and gave them $500 advance. they came on the date schedule for service they were working whole day but they did the digging in the wrong place. next day the owner came him self and explained the situation and found a different alternative and they started working again the job of finally done on Monday. It took of 3 days instead of 1 day as per their estimate previously. But the they did a good job. i am happy with the service.
Description of Work: i am very happy with their service. Very professional staff and hard working people. even though there was some confusion or miscalculation about the job how to do it but they took the responsibility and did the job correctly. Actual estimate was $5000 but they found some additional things needs to be replaced so the total was more. But overall service and work is satisfactory.

Great! This is the second time we used New Pipe. Last summer they did a full bathtub/sink installation as well as replacing the pipes for our washer to bring it up to code and installed a water line for our refrigerator. Stephan came promptly for the evaluation. Within 20 minutes, he diagnosed the entire problem with our plumbing issues, offered us a reasonable solution and worked within our budget. Although offering to come the next day to begin repairs, we had him come two days later. When he was running a little behind, he called early, made sure his guys were here to start the work. With three on his crew, they carefully dug up the top layer of our lawn, replaced the pipe and restored the top layer of grass. They worked hard, tested everything and completed the job within about 5.5 hours. We are very pleased and have used New Pipe for two major home projects and will continue to use them in the future for our plumbing needs.
Description of Work: Had the main line sewage from the house to the sidewalk (it was leaking) and replaced it with copper plumbing. Capped the extraneous sprinkler line to the backyard. Repaired the sprinkler shut off valve. Repaired joints where galvanized steel and copper plumbing met and inserted brass joints. Disconnected and removed broken water purification system. Replaced water pressure valve.

We initially called the company when we were interested in purchasing the house, but the major issue we discovered was the 80 year old cast iron pipe that was buried in slab. If it burst, we would have to pull up the hard wood floors and break the slab. When I called, I told them I was looking for an estimate and an inspection as there was another clog that was cleared and we needed another inspection. They sent Greg who saw the job through from start to finish. He gave me good advice and calmed our nerves, explaining that a lining could be injected in the pipe to make it like new. He told me to call again if we go through with the house and he would give me a good price. I called several months later and Greg came back out and looked at it again and gave me a good price even though he couldn't exactly know how big the job would be given the angle of the pipes. It turned out to be the worst case scenario, yet he stuck to his word and his price. And even when there were other issues and slight miscommunications, he always handled them professionally and continued to stick to his word. I'm sure it was not a fun or lucrative job for him, but he still provided his best service. They were also very considerate about time. Since we have two small kids, Greg brought in more men to get it all done in a day, working 9am to 7pm to get it finished. Very impressive. All in all, I would definitely recommend the company and use them again. And I would certainly suggest you ask for Greg if you do.
Description of Work: They replaced a section of cast iron pipe that was under decking and shot a lining into the cast iron pipe under the house that was 80 years old and buried in slab.

The sprinkler line pressure was too high and the sprinkler heads kept popping off. Stephan answered my call immediately and came promptly to fix this problem before my new tenants moved in, even though he was very busy. A second regulator, separate from the house line, was installed so that house water pressure would not be decreased. Carlos, the technician who installed the regulator, did a beautiful job without disturbing the vegetation around the pipes. He worked quickly and left the area clean. Stephan gave us the Angie's discount. We were very pleased with the job and would not hesitate to refer this company for any plumbing job.
Description of Work: Installed regulator on sprinkler line.

Carlos was on time both for the estimate and for the repair schedules. He was responsive and available on the phone. He was professional, clean, and looked to be very experienced in dealing with the particular single arm shower faucet issue I was having. The repair was performed within the water shutoff time slot of the high rise building that I live in, and the work area was cleaned up.I wiill definitely use these guys again in the future if I had another plumbing issue.
Description of Work: My shower faucet has been behaving erratically, and sometimes giving me no hot water in the morning. The high rise building I live in did a test and confirm that the return line for hot water indeed does have hot water, so they suggested that I call a plumber to come out to look into my shower faucet.
