Cal Neva Concrete

Vince and crew got everything formed up and the rebar installed and tied. The pumper showed up laid out his hoses and the finishers got ready for the first truck for the side yard and curb. The guys really got the job done and Vince was there supervising the whole job all the time, He never left. EVERYTHING TURNED OUT FABULOUS, THE BEST DRIVEWAY AND APPROACH ON THE BLOCK.

This is a revised rating of Cal Neva Concrete's work. I had originally given them an "A" rating based on the work performed, but shortly after the concrete cured I started noticing a white powder coming out of the concrete. It started near the edges, but then became an issue all over. Long story short, the concrete is defective and has started to deteriorate and crumble -- its been just over 90 days since it was poured. Any type of water or moisture on the concrete causes the concrete to push this white stuff out, then the concrete crumbles and leaves a pitted crater. Looks absolutely terrible. I called Vincent, owner of Cal Neva Concrete, and at first I had some hope that he would resolve it. Initially he wanted to wait for it to fully cure. Then he wanted to walk to the concrete supplier. Then he told me it was the water and dirt in Corona that was causing it....lots of stories, lots of stall tactics. Finally got him to come and look at the issue and then he said he would need to perform some type of acid wash or something to remedy the issue. Whatever....just wanted it fixed. That was 3-4 weeks ago he's been playing games every since. Says he'll come out, then doesn't show-up or call to let me know he's not coming. I have to call and track him down, then more excuses and games on why he didn't come and why he can't come this week. He was a no-show again last week and hasn't even bother returning my calls....so it looks like I'll have to take legal action to get this resolved. Attached are picture of Cal Neva Concrete's work and the type of quality you can expect from them. The patio looks absolutely awful and it's been a terrible experience dealing with them. At any rate, I would never do business with Cal Neva Concrete again and do not recommend them.

The cement in our driveway was slightly raised from tree roots and when a heavy truck drove over it, it collapsed. We had a crater in the driveway. They did a good job and they guy that came out was pleasant. We had a few hindrances that were not their fault but they got around them. They came across a pipe that turned out to be live water feed. Vince is a nice guy and they were hard workers! It came out very nice.

I purchased a concrete service from Cal Neva on June 18th....Vincent, from the company, came out and gave me an idea of how much it would cost - far too expensive for me to afford. His cost was outrageously expensive, I had my entire patio poured (huge) for less than what I was quoted. Makes me think I can do it myself/or I should learn how to do it for myself. One 4x4 square would have cost $129.00 per square! I will be using Angie's new snapshot feature to get bids before paying for this project.

Vincent and his workers were amazing. Vincent came out immediately after being called and gave an estimate on the spot. After we decided to go with him, he gave us a date and time within a week of being hired. Him and his crew showed up right on time and though he estimated it taking him a day, they finished the work in 6 hours. The work looks GREAT! The concrete still needs to dry but as of now everything looks fantastic. Great quality service at a great price! I would definitely use him again and recommend him to anyone looking for concrete work.

Great job from Cal Neva. I needed to widen the driveway and they showed up when they said they would to give me their price quote, then did the same thing on the job day. Did a good job digging out more dirt and framing the area. They were very reliable. I would hire them again.

We got an estimate which was more than we wanted to pay and he couldn't do some of the repairs so we didn't use this service.

I called on Sunday (05/04) to get a bid on a concrete job. Cal Neva came out the same day to give me an estimate. He gave me an estimate and then left my house. I called him about 30 minutes later and told him I wanted to change some of the original plans. He came back out right away and gave me an updated estimate. I was 100% pleased with the outcome of the project and will contact this company again if I need more concrete work done. Highly recommended!

MOST EXCELLENT PROFESSIONAL QUALITY SERVICE.

Everything seemed to be in order and in good repair at the time of the fix. However about 3 weeks to a month after the job, the grout cracked in the exact same pattern as before the repair and the tile is lifting up again. I don't know if this is due to the concrete job they did, the company that did the tile (Cal Neva Concrete did not do the tile), or another factor we are not aware of. I am not quite sure how to rate them, while they were here they were professional and courteous. the job was completed on time and for a reasonable price, however the same thing is happening to our floor that prompted the repair and I am not sure If it because the job was not done correctly or if there is some other factor involved.

Vincent came out right away for our initial appointment. We had several companies come out to give us price quotes. His measurements were the most accurate, which made us realize that other companies were trying to overcharge. We also left the finishing touches as to pattern up to him. We are very happy that we did because his work was beautiful. He was able to start when we needed and finished a day before he initially told us he would. Vincent oversaw all of the workers which were all friendly and professional. The were very considerate in cleaning up after themselves throughout the project . Vincent was more than helpful as well with the other subcontractors here working on the pool during the time he was here. His pricing was very fair and actually because he wasn't over charging in square footage was the lowest quote we received. I can't say enough good things about this company and we already have discussed using him on other projects we are planning and know it will be another excellent experience! I highly recommend this company.
