Paid $65 to get an estimate to change an inverter board on a GE Monogram fridge. I confirmed with the repairman that the part on Amazon was correct at $125. His estimate was $475 plus another $200 if he had to change the control board. I said if the part costs about $125, then you are charging $350 for less than an hours work and he said they charge by the job. Angie's List shows a 20 percent off for labor which he did not include.

Entirely professional in diagnosing the problem and fixing it in a timely way. This was a problem that other repair technicians could not so this was a problem that other repair technicians could not solve. Very happy with the work I’m very happy to meet the people who did the work.

10 stars for the best appliance man ever. Oleg came to my house on a Saturday to fix my Thermador microwave that is in combination with my oven. His friendliness and humor made me feel confident that there was a chance this would be fixed. And it was ☺. This story gets better, days later my Thermador stove infighter blew and once again I called for Oleg to come out, and again a full recovery for that too ☺. ASK for Oleg he is great!

They gave a same-day appt on Sunday-- I was grateful! For the 1 part and 20 minutes, charge was $259. Not sure if it's fair He tested and showed me it works, otherwise was not eager to answer my questions. He was a subcontractor. He did not know anything about the main company listed on Angie's list.

Awesome! They said they would have someone out within 90minutes and this is 130pm on XMAS Eve. As I went to empty the dryer for them, I found my daughter’s Can Shoe stuck..(she should have used the dryer insert!). At any rate, I WILL hire them again based on their willingness to send someone about 25miles on Christmas Eve to help me. A+++in my bok

Horrible. The tech wanted $260.00 to glue a tiny section of the rubber gasket. What a RIP-OFF. Beware people of this company Felt like they were crooks. Shame on Angie’s List for having a “pro” like this on their website

Stanley was the technician and cleaned out the lint trap by opening up the dryer. He was fast and very experienced.

Very fast response, diagnosed problem immediately. Replaced cooling control unit mother board.

So glad I called Local Appliance Repair and got Stanley here to replace our moldy door seal on our Whirlpool Duet. He not only replaced it, he gave me an education on how to care for our washer in the future. Extremely thorough. My only regret is that I didn't call them sooner to fix this issue. I highly recommend Stanley and his service.

My Kenmore fridge was making a buzzing sound that was driving me crazy. I called AAA and Mike answered, who totally saved me! His patience and thoughtfulness helped me solve the issue quickly.

The company made room for us on a Saturday even though they were booked up. They were responsive in calling back, were punctual and nice and, most of all, fixed our dryer in a minimum of time and for a reasonable price. Plus he cleaned the vents gratis. We would recommend them highly!

Arrived on time and diagnosed problem in 15 minutes. Quoted $475 + tax to repair. Said the valve was a very expensive part - $250. I said OK. Repaired in 30 minutes so came to $225 for one hour labor. Fine. But after he left I looked online and found the same part readily available for $40 - $60. I don't mind a premium for having the part on his truck but he took advantage of us by saying it was an expensive part. That wasn't honest. He charged us 400% over retail. I thought Angie's List would help stop this kind of repair gouging.

Came same afternoon. Kept me updated about time of arrival. Explained clearly what could be wrong. Fixed both quickly.

The technician disconnected the clock and timer as I requested. He worked quickly and efficiently to solve the problem.

He was efficient but he didn't go out of his way to repair the water filtering system that was leaking, he just turned it off. There's a little container basin that was full of water and instead of emptying it he just said to leave it there and it will evaporate. I just felt he did the bare minimum and didn't go out of his way for the amount I paid.

I think they were fine. They diagnosed the problem, they ordered the part, the part came in when they said it would, and they did fine. They could've been a little less expensive, but other than that, they were good.

They weren't here instantaneously, it took a while to get them out. It was an overall okay experience. Nothing good, nothing bad, nothing stellar, nothing horrible.

went fine... had to wait for parts to ship, but other than that all repairs were successfully made. Replaced ignition modules on gas burners, bbq

I have an Angel named Michael! A disagreement over a dishwasher repair had me prepared for a bloody battle when I called it in. Instead , Michael, a gentleman, listened patiently and in minutes he entirely resolved my problem. Now I have a dishwasher that works ... plus I have an Angel who assured me I could call whenever I needed a repair. Almost hoping to test Michael’s powers again!

The $200 was not a service fee; that was the total fee to fix it. I liked how knowledgeable the repairman was and how forthright he was with information. They could work on having a tighter time window, so we wouldn't have to wait at home. Both my wife and I work, and with that, we don't have to take time off from work. It took them two hours to get the work done. They're definitely an A on quality.

Repair person arrived outside window of arrival time and was unapologetic.
