AVS Logic

Several years ago, I gave AVS Logic an A plus review. Jonathan set up my home theater system and did a great job. I'm not good with high tech stuff and he returned a couple of times to reconnect and explain things -- I'd expect no less when I invest a lot of money with a company. That said, more recently, I had a very minor issue with a cooling fan that started making a lot of noise. I also wanted to replace a broken universal remote. I contacted Jonathan in MAY. It is now late AUGUST and after repeatedly saying he'd schedule me in and not following through, I've had enough. Jonathan uses the excuse that he is busy, and I get it, he's busy with the big paying gigs, like the one he had with me originally. I understand that what I need done now is a small job so it won't generate a lot of money, but it's also a quick job and I thought that it would be best executed by the person who built my system. Alas, good customer service just doesn't seem to be a part of AVS Logics philosophy.

AVS Logic showed up on time, was professional and pleasant to work with. AVS installed the wall outlets just and placed them where I wanted them. Although they repaired the holes in the wall with plaster, I would have preferred it if they painted it as well to make it clean. Unfortunately, they do not paint. I would hire them again in the future for other projects.

We had Jonathan install networking wiring and a switch in our home. We also had him move a TV we originally mounted too low.We met with him to discuss our needs and he came back with an appropriate solution. Installation was quick and we are very happy with the results. We will definitely give him a call if we need to expand or do other network/media installation in the future.

Our experience with Jonathan was all that the best of the reviews stated and we are grateful for his expertise that helped us with two existing sound systems and two TVs. He assessed and adjusted two sound systems in the the house to meet our needs so that my husband and I now can hear the spoken word and music much better. We both have some hearing impairment making it difficult, even with hearing aids, to understand the spoken word without headphone assistance and to listen to music as hearing aids can make high frequencies too pronounced. He adjusted the systems including turning down the treble which has made a great deal of difference to us. In addition he installed a single ceiling stereo-in-one speaker in the kitchen and repaired the connection to the living room speaker. He exchanged and reinstalled two TVs, including a new mounting bracket for one of them. Jonathan is knowledgeable, honest and efficient with a pleasant manner and I do not hesitate to give him the highest recommendation.

Very professional team. On time, On Budget, On target. Recommend to anyone looking for a clean, no nonsense fair job at installing your flat panel TVs.

Jonathan installed a new internet wireless system and upgraded our home theatre system in a efficient professional manner. He quickly adapted to field conditions and was very creative in finding solutions to our existing problems. Jonathan visit my home on Saturday the day after I contacted him. Very quickly he made calculations for the required equipment, installation, and cost. Once we agreed on installation on the day that I selected. He and Alex were on time and quickly had covered all areas were they were going to either walk through or work in. As always happens with any improvement projects, it took a bit longer than expected, but the end result is better than we had anticipated. I will be calling them again if I need anything else done in my home. I might even call on them for projects at work.

I read the reviews first and was impressed, but even more impressed once I started working with Jonathan. All the reviews live up to his professionalism and quality of work. He and his team were on time, polite, and eager to do a great job. What I find to be exceptional is Jonathan did not hesitate to do any follow up work needed to tweak little things to make the job perfect. The pricing was very fair and we got something much better from a local store and DIY. I will be contacting Jonathan for install at my home.

Initial walk-through was easy. Jonathan clearly knows his business. He had a much more elegant idea about how to solve our issues and the estimate came in at about a third less than the other company we'd talked to. Installation was quick and clean. Once work started, it didn't stop till the job was done. We ended up with a much better solution to our wiring issues than we had imagined. The net runs faster with fewer/no wires poking anywhere. TV streaming no longer hit-or-miss. Wireless now runs as needed and was also quickly and cleanly installed.

The best. Starting with a reasonable, competitive price, and what became a challenging installation (an attic space cluttered with old swamp cooler duct work, on a hot late August day in Woodland Hills), these guys were amazing. Professional work, patched minor holes, cleaned up, and tested everything.

Home automation and AV system set can be a big racket. I've been through several contractors who either disappeared or who created systems so over complicated that it was almost a guarantee you would need them as lifetime members of the family (only really expensive ones). I read some reviews on AVS and took a chance. Jonathan communicates clearly and does what he says he'll do. If he can't solve something immediately he does the research needed and gets it done. He didn't charge me for what I'm sure were a lot of hours of research he needed to do to solve some of our issues. He goes out of his way to find less expensive and smarter ways of doing things. I trust Jonathan and will continue to use his services for all of our AV needs.

I had a compete home theater installed one year ago. Recently, I was unable to turn my TV on with my universal remote. Jonathan came in a identified the problem quickly and resolved the issue. I mentioned to him that I wanted to replace my receiver and that my universal remote was limited in its functions and my wifi had limited range. He gave me a quote to install a new receiver, extend my wifi range and provide more functionality to my remote. He and an associate arrived on time and worked all day. They not only did the items quoted, they also completely reprogrammed the remote giving me more functionality than I expected. They did an extensive amount of rewiring to extend the wifi and patched all holes leaving only minor painting. Jonathan patiently walked me thorough all instructions to insure I understood how to work all components. I would highly recommend Jonathan and AVS Logic to my friends and family.

Johnathan was terrific. He upgraded my existing system to new, state of the art technology. He was very thorough and patient. Went above and beyond in all aspects. He continues to be responsive with any questions I have even though the job was finished months ago. I have recommended him to friends and would use him again.

Jonathan was very responsive. Arrived when he said he would and spent time achieving what we had asked of him. He didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need ,and was helpful, Knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend using him for any Home Theater issues.

We have hired Jonathan on several occasions and will continue to do so. He is up on the latest technology and trends, know how to apply them to us and never pushes unwanted gadgets. We have a second universal remote installed in our family room. He was in and out in a 90 minutes and the install was picture perfect. It is great to be able to control our DVR, Apple TV, DVD play and music all from one very cool remote. The buttons are lit up if you move it, how cool is that? Highly recommended both his products and his installations.

Overall, Jonathan was able to provide quick, professional installation of my audio equipment. From my initial message to him, I was able to get the entire job finished in under a week. Jonathan was very responsive to my inquiries, came on site to provide a quote, was able to work with my on the pricing, and was able to complete the installation in 1 day. He was very knowledgeable about the wiring and audio equipment even though I had previously purchased it from another 3rd party. He also showed great attention to detail by making sure the holes he made for the ceiling speakers were lined up with the recessed lighting. I would definitely recommend AVS Logic and would use them again for any of my A/V needs.

When we first moved into our new house over a year ago, Jonathan installed all of our audio/visual equipment and indoor/outdoor speakers as well as setting up our wi-fi hub and boosters. He did an excellent job. Prompt, efficient, professional. Over a year later, we are still very happy with our whole setup. Over time, when we had additional audio/visual needs, we didn't hesitate to contact Jonathan, and he has done a great job for us. This time around, we had some problems with our wi-fi because of some work that our internet/cable provider did in the house (no fault of Jonathan's). Jonathan came out, diagnosed the problem, explained it and corrected it for us. While he was here, he hooked up some wi-fi devices and Apple TV for us. There were complications because of what our internet/cable provider had done. But Jonathan worked around it and got everything to work just fine. And as always, he patiently walked us through how everything works. We're very happy with Jonathan and will continue to call him for all of our audio/visual needs.

Both home theater installations went perfectly and we had a great experience. Over the years we had tried various companies to help us maximize our home media experience, and we were never satisfied and found ourselves left with a veritable rats nest of wiring and outmoded components. We hired AVS and they solved the problem. Just as importantly, they simplified our user interface enormously. We then had them install an entirely new home theater system in a separate room and the results were equally excellent. Jonathan was prompt, extremely helpful with advice on what we needed and more importantly what we didn't need. The work was done well, on time, and he was a pleasure to work with in our home filled with curious young children and animals. In the meantime, whenever we have encountered a problem with the systems or a need for any kind of upgrade, he has gone out of his way to get to us and solve the problem ASAP, never with a charge. far and awayAs I stated before, I have experienced my share of installers, and AVS is easily THE BEST. I endorse them %100.

Called provider Saturday 3/28. Needed assistance with blu-ray player and surround system. Made appointment for Monday 3/30 @ 5 p.m. Provider had our cell and home numbers. No show. No call. Nothing.

Jonathan was punctual, professional and pleasant to work with. He was very thoughtful and brought show protectors. He was knowledgable and experienced and the job went very well. The job took less time than he estimated which resulted in a lower bill! We will definitely use AVS Logic again in the future.

AVS Logic was supposed to install a pair of coaxial outlets on a Thursday. Instead, Jonathan showed up and told me he was only there to give me a quote for a home theater installation... even though I had specifically told him on the phone that I wanted him to install coaxial outlets ASAP... (shrug) Okay, maybe it was a miscommunication. I give people the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, we rescheduled the coaxial installation for the following Tuesday. Monday night I called him to confirm Tuesday's appointment. He said he would email me my home theater quote along with a time he'd show up to do the coaxial install the next day. That was the last I heard from him. I got no quote, no service. Because he balked on doing work the on the first visit, I had to reschedule, and because he no-showed for the second appointment I had to hire another contractor (Big Ben Mounts, who were FANTASTIC!). All-in-all, what should've been an easy install to transfer my cable/internet to my new address turned into a week-long ordeal and left us without cable/internet for eight days... I know, first-world problems, right? But still... come on.

This is our third job with Jonathan. He is excellent and very professional! We will continue utilizing his service.

I needed to upgrade the existing computer network wiring in my home office to move a server, add a number of new network ports, and other things, and the local computer store that I have used for repairs recommended Jonathan. He was knowledgeable, professional, hardworking, took care of complications that arose on his own without me having to get involved, stuck with the quote that he gave me, and left me with a clean and professional looking installation. However . . . After he moved the server into the room in which he installed the new wiring, some of my network functions weren't working. There were some other changes being made at the same time including some work on my networked printer/copier, so I wasn't sure what would have caused the symptoms I was seeing. I called my IT guy out and he diagnosed the problem as Jonathan having plugged the Ethernet cable into the wrong port on the server (apparently each of 5 ports on the server is configurable as its own separate network). My IT guy plugged the cable back into the correct port which resolved the problems I was seeing. Between lost productivity at my office and my IT guy's charges, Jonathan plugging the Ethernet cable into the wrong port cost me about $1,000. Also, Jonathan stuck an Ethernet hub on the wall using Velcro adhesive tape. That lasted about 48 hours until it fell off the wall. The tape took with it some of the paper from the drywall, so after I built a proper miniature shelf for the hub, now I'll need to patch and paint that portion of the wall. I asked Jonathan what he would do to make this right. He said he'd give me a discount off the next piece of work that I had asked him to give me a quote for. Well, that was about nearly a month ago now and I still have not received a quote from him.

Jonathan gave me a free estimate prior to the install and he stuck to that price on the day. Bruno & Alex arrived right on time for the install and they were great. They discussed all of my options and were very flexible and creative in troubleshooting any obstacles that we encountered during the process. They had a really great attitude and I could tell that they took pride in their work. Jonathan arrived during the last hour to lend a hand to the 2 guys, and to make sure that their work was up to his standards. The install was done very cleanly and the speakers look and sound great on the wall. In summary, AVS was professional, courteous, and did quality work at a fair price. I would definitely use them again for any of my A/V needs.
