Excellent service. The floors were really revived

After an awful experience with a local flooring company, beginning with a week's delay and ending with a broken bed and desk and partially pulled out carpeting on a Friday afternoon, I contacted Ariel Builders. They could have taken advantage of our situation and completely overcharged us, but instead they worked with us to stay within the budget we had planned to spend with the original company. It took us less than an hour to pick stain and varnish color and sign the contract and come Monday morning, they arrived early and finished the project by 7pm. We are so pleased with our floors and the work that they did and I would highly recommend them.

We were disappointed with the work and the customer service. We had our hardwood floor refinished. They only used one coat of product and it really needed another. There are several spots where it looks like they did not do anything. I clearly included 10 steps in the contract and on the day of service the project manager stated they were not included even though I clearly have 10 steps. They did not fill in any putty where the boards have separated like the contractors in the past have always done even though I talked about that when the project manager came to do the estimate. After I gave them a check in full (my bad) at the beginning of service, I did not hear from him again. Nobody has checked to see if we were happy with the results even though I had about 10 calls trying to drum up our business. We will not be using them again.

Tony, from Ariel Builders brought out many samples to chose from. Half the sales people who came to bid the job brought little or no samples. That tells me they did not want the job. The install crew was spectacular. The pricing was higher than others but the sample he brought matched our existing floor the best.

Make sure the owner and manager agree on what is to be done. I was told by owner at time of hire that the job would take 2 to 3 days to complete. It was done in one day and the color I requested was cherry I got lite blonde. This due to one coat of cherry stain applied to striped floors and two applications of water-based sealer. I was told by manager the 2 to 3 day process I was looking for would have cost much more then what I paid which was a good deal for the price. Iâ m not happy with my floors, and I canâ t have them redone again because after a couple of sanding itâ s recommended not to do again. I will just have to live with it.

They were quick to respond for an estimate and quick to install my floor. It's beautiful, would recommend them to friends, family, and would use them again myself!

Great experience with Mary and Raul the installer! Refinished red oak Floors look awesome and the new molding is beautiful too. Work done faster then expected!

I had a great experience with this company. Tony came to my house, gave me a written "no pressure" estimate. When I was ready, I called them, we set up an install date and imagine they were actually here on that date! The workers were very polite, cleaned up any mess, put my furniture back where it was and the job was wonderful. My floors look fabulous! I couldn't be happier.

I hired the company through HomeAdvisor to do the backyard landscaping work. They presented themselves as a full-service desing-build company. The scope of work was clearing a steep hill, building retaining wall, steps, lawn area, and putting plants in. I will review each area below. Design: a simple visual render. They do not do licensed design work but render a loose concept that should give you impression of the future project. Useful for understanding, though not very accurate, neither professionally designed. Hardscaping: very standard work, not very neat, something you can get with a typical SoCal crew of contractors. Little advise on the variety of materials (I was offered to pick cinder blocks from 4 colors and pavers from 8 types). Plants: very little plant knowledge. Most of what has been planted - died. Have to redo again. Customer service: good people, listening to you, responsive, try to make it right. License: had a C-27 license at the time of hire, though it has expired during the project and never showed up again on the CA Contractor check website. Pricing: I compared them to other companies, these guys come on the upper end Quality control: very weak. I had to do multiple walkthroughs to get details right. Essentially, they were asking me to poke the work and send pictures of what I thought was not right. Overall: very average quality of work, price is not justified, can do hardscaping, should not be hired for design or planting work. I Will not hire again.

Great communication via the phone, email and in person. Sales team was great, Eli made sure we got what we needed and responded quickly to any questions we had. Our new floors and baseboards look great!

Had my floors replaced in my recently purchased first home. At first look everything looked fine, but as months went on I noticed shotty workmanship and poossibly even wrong product installed. I very specifically asked for flooring that would be scratch resistant, and I have never experienced a softer floor that scratches with the smallest amount of dust or debris under anything. I maxed out my credit card to get quality flooring installed before moving in, hoping to not have to replace it for a long time, but it doesn't seem like that'll be the case. I've also had time to reflect on the installation and a big mess was left, including grout caked into my front lawn, still there 6 months later. They replaced a door for me and didn't throw it or anything else away, nor tell me they weren't going to. They used my paper towels and personal supplies to clean up and rush to finish. They also caused my house to be broken into, because they left curtains tied up and open so that people could see into my empty house. Someone broke the restroom window, causing me to buy new windows I wasn't ready for. Overall, I would not use them again.

I had some hardwood laid in a bedroom. This was the best experience of remodeling I've had. Mary and Kay in the office were very helpful and Alex Torres and Aluato Martinas did an excellent job. The finishes are perfect. I'd recommend this company to everyone.

They stayed on the job until it was finished. High quality work.

They changed schedule after initial date has been set. Some damage to my property, not on the floor though, was detected during the work day just before they finished the floor. I had to contact the manager so we can through the work that was done. He did not show interest in pleasing the customer. Workers were not polite, always speaking in their language that I did not understand.

Overall a very positive experience. They come prepared and provide great ideas.
