Description of Work: They tested and attempted the recovery at no charge. They recommended a more expensive lab and shipped it directly to them to attempt the recovery. Because they are a much less costly service, I would definitely give them first crack at a failed hard drive if I ever need help again!

Description of Work: 300DDR had excellent communication, extremely efficient services, and unbeatable pricing. I shipped a dead external hard drive to them, and on the same day they received the drive, they were able to run diagnostics. They kept me informed every step of the way, and when they were unable to recover any data from my drive, they put me in touch with another reputable company for more advanced data recovery services at a discount price as well. 300DDR charged me nothing for the diagnostic. They only charged me the shipping costs to ship the drive directly to the other company. It was as good of an experience as losing data can be, and I fully recommend 300DDR without hesitation. I will definitely go to them first if I have the unfortunate experience of data loss again in the future.

Description of Work: $300 Data Recovery is outstanding! They are super friendly and pleasant to deal with, and upfront with their fees and service agreements. Most importantly, they are GREAT at rescuing hard drive and they work fast. You can't beat their price for recovering your data at a flat fee of $300, which is only charged if they're successful and you accept the recovery. In my case, they saved 99.99999987% of what was on my iMac's hard drive (yes, I calculated it). I am an extremely satisfied customer and will recommend them to everyone without hesitation.

 + -1 moreAfter spending hours on the phone with Apple Tech support to no satisfactory result, I searched Angie's List for help with our G-5. A huge unfindable file was taking up 63 gigs of space on our harddrive, causing a variety of problems, crashing, and incredibly sluggish performance. Brian Cometa had multiple great reports from happy clients, returned my call within hours and was at my house the following day. Upon arrival Brian sat at the Mac, looked around the files for maybe 4 minutes, identified the problem and fixed it. Just like that. His fee for the first hour was $85, so he asked if we had any other issues we'd like him to address. He installed and upgraded some software for us, identified the need for an increase in RAM, found us a great price for what we were looking for. He even showed me how to do the installation myself, but having the computer repair skills of an oyster I opted to have him do the work when I received the RAM. Great Service.
Description of Work: Brian quickly found and fixed a hidden file that was taking up about 90% of the space on the internal harddrive. He also installed and updated software for us. He suggested we upgrade our RAM, found an online seller with a great price for it, and once we received it, came back and installed it for us.

Which was a relief as I needed my computer to meet a deadline. Brian's estimate was very accurate. I'm very happy with his service. He is also excellent about returning phone calls.

 + -1 moreBrian showed up on time (about ten minutes early, actually) and is bright, knowledgeable, and patient. Also friendly and outgoing.This is the second time I've used Brian and it won't be the last. As in the past, he arrived on time, did the work efficiently and was unfailingly patient. Brian was great, as usual. I switched from a PC to a Mac, bought a new printer, and switched from DSL to broadband all at once. I'm a cyber dunce and Brian is always unfailingly patient.
Description of Work: Job 1: Brian installed two Norton internet security discs, uninstalled the current verJob 2: Installed iMac, installed printer drivers, Word, Toast & other software, answered questions, gave list of things to buyJob 3: Day 1: Tried installing printer but it wouldn't work due to broadband issues. Brian was on the phone for a long time with several reps. He wasn't able to complete the installation because download time (it ultimately took 6 hours) was prohibitive. He also installed a battery backup, Super Duper, did a bunch of registrations & file transfers, answered a million questions. He also told TW that I deserved a break for all the broadband hassle & they gave me a free upgrade for a month plus a nice reduction on my cable/broadband package for the next 6 months. Hint: If you were with Adelphia prior to the TW transition and you're ordering broadband, be sure they don't mix in Adelphia codes with TW codes. Day 2: Finished installing printer, answered more questions.

He was able to remove the programs that were problematic, set me up with good replacements, and clean out unnecessary clutter. He also showed me how to do some things myself after he left, so that I wouldn't be paying for his time to do this. I would call him again in a minute if I needed to.

He asked all the pertinent questions regarding my computer operating systems (Mac & Windows), type of internet service, and the hardware supplied by my provider. I explained what the problem was (I couldn't get my computers to connect wirelessly). Brian called me the day of our appointment to confirm, arrived on time and - most importantly - set up my home network. He then explained to me how it all worked, and offered to come back if I had any problems. While he specializes in Mac OS, he's equally as versed in Windows. This guy is a great resource!
