McLaughlin Heating and Air Conditioning

They make a hole and left after without telling me. They went back after i call them to patch the hole. After 2 days my whole ceiling broke down and they has to replace my whole ceiling and attic.

They have been absolutely excellent. One time I was having a problem and they discovered something was done incorrectly. They fixed it and did not charge me. I would highly recommend them and I will hire them again.

We have been using them for 50 years. They always do a god job on our air conditioning unit. Reasonable price with good quality service. They give a 2 hour window, and they come always on time, and calls before they come.

McLaughlins has ALWAYS been prompt, professional, helpful and polite. I use this company (and have for many years) 2x's a year for service to A/C before summer heat and to heater before winter cold. This is a company with integrity ! I highly recommend using them for your HVAC needs. I had a problem with J J Heating, their tech was rude and flippant when called back to this job, I took execption to his attitude and rebuked him (Justin?) and whereas I had heat to my home before they arrived, I had no heat after they left. Retaliation ? The seller of this home has agreed to pay for repairs quoted by McLaughlin. When I called McLaughlin to schedule a repair date, their soonest opening was Friday. When I explained I was without heat, Misty said although she had no one in the area today, she would try to have Ray stop by on his return from service calls in Modesto to see that heat to my home was back on. They arrived on time and worked a number of days to get the work done as promised. Installers were very professional and kept us informed on the work. I called several companies and they where the most responsive. They also had the best price and ability to get my job done ASAP.

I called Mclaughlin and after describing the problem to the woman answering the phone, she explained that it would be a couple of days before a technician could come. She suggested a temporary solution because we were having record breaking heat. The solution worked well and when the man came to do the work he was polite and seemed efficient. He explained everything he was doing as he was working so that my husband could see what was going on and have a better understanding in case the problem reoccured.

It went as usual: they were prompt. The technician was clean, dressed for work with oil, equipment, etc.) and he was nice. He asked to see the furnace, the thermostat and the place outside the house where the large fan resides. He checked everything, e.g, including the big fan in the outside box, the thermostat inside the house. He took panels off and cleaned areas around the fan outside on the driveway, took the panel off the furnace area, cleaned and oiled the parts that needed oil, checked to see that the equipment worked, e.g., that if the thermostat was moved to 67 degrees, the equipment turned on and cooled the house to that that temperature. Etc. I am not an expert, but I can say the air conditioning system works wonderfully and there is a minimum of dust in the house...just what the dog brings in.

We signed a contract and they finished up the last part of July. They did quality work and it came out great. They're service is good and they have a quality product. American Standard is their brand, but they do also have Ruud which is also made by American Standard. We had American Standard put in. Their prices were competitive and they did excellent work. Actually they were cheaper than most of the other ones I looked at and the unit their selling is a better unit than what the other ones have because I did some checking on some of the other air conditioning companies here in town and their prices were either comparable or under and I thought their work was great. They came out and took care of things and they were very punctual.

They sent out a serviceman, John, that I couldn't understand because he only used industry related terms. He was telling me I needed more insulation in my attic and other things I'd never heard before. I was very unhappy with him and he didn't really answer my questions concerning whether or not I needed a new unit. On the invoice he put down that he was here a lot longer than he was and they charged me for that time. I called the office and told them that he overcharged me and wasn't here that long and they argued with me and then said they'd get back with me. They checked with him and did refund me the difference.

I needed the job done immediately since a neighbor was installing a fence. Although the company had other projects, they went out of their way to meet my needs.

Overall service was great.

They are outstanding. They do very high quality work, and I highly reccomend them.

They have a discount for the service if you sign up in advance. They are an established company and they have been here for a long time. They are reliable. They do the job and report what they find and then I pay them.

Overall, they were very good. They took care of all of the paperwork. There was some kind of rebate for the manufacturer, and they filled everything out for me. All I had to do was send it in. They made it very easy. They seemed to be very efficient. The price was fair. They kept in touch with me about what was going on at what time.
