Jose and Daniel arrived each day on time they did wonderful work, they knew what they are doing, they kept the customer completely informed they were polite and helpful and a pleasure to have woking on our home. We certainly would use Best-Rate Repair & Termite Company again and would highly recommend them to others.

James came after the deck work was done. He did all the spots we talked about in addition to a very hard to get to spot I found in the attic where I detected termite droppings. He was very thorough and took the time to answer my questions on prevention. He said everything has a year guarantee so if anything shows up within that time they would treat at no cost.

I had a great experience working with this company. Starting with the woman on the phone who processed the quote. She was very knowledgeable and helped guide me through the process. The gentleman that preformed the initial quote inspection was also very helpful and guided me through ways to avoid additional costs. The process was seamless. I hope I don't have to but I would certainly call them again to help with any termite problems.

Their bid was one of the highest bids. I was expecting a much more competitive bid. I have not received the formal bid. They still might formalized it and give me a more specific bid. I was really disappointed that they were on the high end. Based on what I recall, I can't rate them very well. My recollection was that they were way high and I initially dismissed them for that. They were here when they said they were going to be here. Other than the bid just stunning me, everything else was good.

They did a great job. They were courteous and did what they said they were going to do. They could've done a bit better about cleaning up in the attic, but overall the work was good. I would recommend them.

They did an amazing job. I would definitely use them again. They were competent, done efficiently, fair price and very honest. The personal services was the best. one person came to complete the service and they left it 100% clean.

It went great. The person who did the work was wonderful, easy to work with and very helpful. We will use them again if needed.

Initial appointment date delayed one day due to weather. Second date set for today and was supposed to BE COMPLETED BY THE END OF TODAY, however, workmen left at 2p.m. to do another job and planned to return tomorrow morning to finish the job. This was inconvenient for me as I have another appointment tomorrow that I will either have to cancel or let them do the job while I am gone. So far they have been very professional and polite. willingly explaining each step with patience. My only complaint is with the scheduling not being as promised.

I found their price high. The wood work that was done was pretty but I could see flaws in the wood work. I had an issue with the guy who scheduled the job. He gave me a lecture on how busy he was and that I don’t understand his business. I was not too impressed with that but the actual worker was ok. The quality of work was pretty good.

Although I was somewhat disconcerted to learn Best-Rate was sub-contracting the tenting, I still was quite pleased with how well the tenting went and I give the credit to David Rubio for this. He was determined to make sure everything went well. From the beginning he listened well and answered all my questions. He even showed up the day before the tenting to help my tenants bag up their food, etc., and answer any questions about what they needed to remove from the house and what could remain. He checked on the house while it was being tented, and then came back after the tenting was done to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. All this was for above ground termite extermination. Whereas above ground termite extermination could not have gone better, I also had them do subterranean extermination which did not go well, so I have written another review for that.

The good news is that this company aims to please the customer, and all the workmen are courteous and respectful. The skilled workman on the job was a very good carpenter, and very knowledgeable about many things. The bad news is: 1) the job was repeatedly delayed due to bad scheduling judgments so that the skilled workman did not show up until late in the day on Thursday and Friday, allowing the much less experienced workman to make a few drilling mistakes. 2) the workman never seemed to have a spare drill bit with him so had to stop the job each time the bit broke while drilling holes through cement slab. (I'd expect that is a known hazard of the job and so the workman would be supplied with 2-6 extra at all times.) 3) The young strappling less experienced workman was unable to figure out how to get around the gravel next to the foundation in order to dig a trench. Older and weaker me showed him how simply it could be done. 3) the workman had run out of plugs for the drilled and treated holes, and I noticed he was using wadded-up tar paper, pushing them 1/2 to 1 inch down the holes and topping with cement--both substandard plugging of the holes. That is where I stopped the job, and took a day to find out what other companies do. I called on Monday ready to cancel the job, but David Rubio was so good at listening to all my concerns, and then he called a meeting with management to address them. Within 45 minutes he called back, explained exactly how they would plug the holes (they were now meeting or exceeding industry standards). They came to finish the job while I watched and periodically inspected, and appeared to do a good job after that. All in all, I would not hire them again for Subterranean termite work. I am hoping Best-Rate--from this incident--sets new higher company wide standards for their subterranean work, and make sure all their workmen go out well-supplied with extra drill bits and extra bags of 1/2 inch plugs (they are not expensive). (please note that I also had hired them for above-ground termite extermination--tenting--and was very pleased with that job). I reviewed them separately for that. I have also used them for wood-rot repair several years ago and was quite pleased with their work then too.

The company responded quickly & communicated well up to the visit. The estimate at the visit was $565 or $500 if I contracted for a termite inspection. I was to receive an emailed version.
