Having my floor refinished by Ocean Flooring was a very positive experience. Within a few days of my calling, the personable owner came out to look at the floor and discuss the job. I was using an Angie's discount coupon for a small job, but I feel like I was treated as well as if I were a full-price customer with a large job. Everything went quite seemlessly - the scheduling was precise, the worker was knowledgeable, highly skilled, and always on time. He kept the dust contained to the kitchen area. My floor looks better than it did when it was installed.

I called and he came out on the same day. He was a very nice man and very knowledgeable. We decided to get carpeting instead so we’ll not be using this company, but if we need hardwood refinishing in the future we will definitely call him!

They are very thorough, very thoughtful, and very accommodating.

Stuart came by to give us an estimate. He gave us wood samples and we went looking too and we met several times to discuss things like built-ins being removed and replaced. Each time he was right on time and gave us our answers in record time. He was straight forward, not giving us any pressure as did others. After getting 4 different estimates Stuart's came in at the best price and he was one of two we checked with all excellent Angie's "A" reports. The crew was incredible. They worked quickly and were extremely friendly and responsive to our needs. We came by daily to check in and were pleased with what we saw every step of the way. We would recommend Ocean Flooring to all our friends. They were professional and a pleasure to work with. Our floors look beautiful!

The work was very good....he did the entire job in an hour's time. The contractor got lost, but I was not charged the time it took him to find me. Stuart was willing to work with me on this small job for a very reasonable price and I appreciated that!

Installation went very well. Work started on time and finished on time with few problems. Stuart Edward made sure the details were covered and the workmen were skilled and very personable. The little extra help I needed at the end were handled with courtesy.

Stuart came out and gave an estimate, and then worked with me when that estimate turned out to be a bit over my budget. When his supplier failed to deliver the requisite materials, thereby threatening to slip the schedule, he pulled a rabbit out of a hat and found a comparable (perhaps slightly better) product and maintained our agreed-upon price. A very smooth and professional job, from start to finish.

Stuart and the guys did a nice job. The floors look great. They were fast -- finished in about three days (our heavy furniture slowed them down some), then came back after our contractor was done to finish the job, and charged exactly what they quoted us.

It went well. They stayed w/in the bid (I didn't get any other bids, so I'm not sure if they were cheap or expensive), got the work done on time, were responsive, were punctual. I gave them a B on professionalism because they left some trash that I called for them to pick up-they came right away to get it. I know that's a small thing, but it's hard for me to judge on the important stuff; I don't know much about floors. The one thing I would tell people is, I think they make a commission on the type of wood they sell. I bought their flooring which was much cheaper then the consumer reports recommended stuff, but it seems to scratch easy. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy the stuff they get for cheap, but it's an incentive one should be aware of.

Stuart came to give us an estimate on replacing our downstairs tile floor. He took measurements and discussed the work with us and said he'd get back with the estimate. We never heard from him again. He had both my phone number and email address, but never tried to contact me. He brought no portfolio or any references to indicate the quality of work. He gave me a business card only after I asked for one and the one he gave me had someone elses name on it. Perhaps he was not interested in the job. If so, it would have been more professional to just say so and leave. I'd say don't bother with this company.

I am a contractor who's crew put some deep gouges into the dining room floor by moving a refrigerator in a client's house. The floor was around sixty years old and had a lot of character to the particular antique styled room. The existing floor had a number of different shades from years of coloring by the sun over different carpet areas, furniture shadows, etc. Stuart came out and gave me an estimate and what he thought was a fairly simple fix. However, the repair process turned out to be a nightmare for his man, Ray. Ray spent many hours over a two week span blending the small area to meet the different shades of the floor and making it look like it was never touched. Ray took a very personal attitude towards the job to insure my and my clients satisfaction. I was thoroughly impressed with the result. After all the hours and work, Stuart stuck by his original estimate, always insisting that the job be done right.

Stuart answered my call after 5 pm on a Saturday and came over to do an estimate the next day. The job was done in two parts. First were the thresholds. Fernando worked alone on the thresholds, but both Stuart and John came by during the day to make sure the right boards and stain were chosen to match my floor. Their work was done in one day. Fernando did an exceptional job fitting the thresholds precisely in the doorways and beveling the large one to make it look very professional. They left the stain for me to complete the job, which I had requested. The second job was to replace a board that had termite damage. Two other men came to work on that. One did most of the work, carefully cutting out a part of the board and fitting a new one in and leveling it to the floor. They took care in the way they cut the old piece out so it would be staggered and blend right in with the other boards. They stained/urethaned that board to match. They came 2 days, about 1 1/2 hrs each day.

It was an experience without incident. They came. Rendered an estimate. Did the work when they said they would. Answered ALL our queries. Redid items we were concerned about without question. I wish I could say that I am getting a kickback for writing these words but that is NOT the case, and I am NOT being hyperbolic--Ocean Flooring delivers the goods!

From the first phone call to Stuart until they walked out the door of the finished job this company was a delight to work with. He was very professional and really knew what they were doing. I had John the supervisor show up with the two man work crew to give them instructions and set them up for the day. The workers were neat, quiet, and especially polite. They even came back two days later and put the furniture back after we had the rooms painted. I highly recommend this company; it could not have been any better.

Called them on a Friday and John was out the next day (Saturday) to give us a quote. He told us exactly what we would need for the job. The following Monday they started the job and finished by mid-week. The guys who did the job, Omar and Rudy, were very professional, left the work site clean and tidy each night, clearly paid attention to detail. Only gripes are they were rushing to finish up on the last night and some of the final touches could have been better executed. The work looks beautiful though and they cleaned up everything. You couldn't even tell they had been here by the time they finished up and carted everything away. Only other gripe is it was a little tough to get John on the phone at the beginning of project. As you can tell by the rating, I recommend them highly and would absolutely recommend to friends and family. And, best of all, I found them on Angie's List!

The installation was top notch, and turned out beautiful. The material and labor pricing was very reasonable

JOHN CAME WITHIN A DAY OR TWO OF CALLING HIM FOR AN ESTIMATE. HE WAS ABLE TO START THE JOB WITHIN 2-3 DAYS AND COMPLETED IT IN 2 1/2 DAYS. THEY DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB. THE GENTLEMAN WHO ACTUALLY DID THE WORK, HIS NAME WAS VICTOR IS VERY GOOD AT HIS JOB.
