Gavin and his team were very professional and easy to work with. They did an excellent job, in a timely manner, and within the budget. They take pride in their work. I highly recommend them.

Gavin came to our home for an estimate and was very professional and knowledgeable. He had good ideas and spent about an hour going over options and answering my questions. He said he would be back to me within a couple of days with an estimate. It has been nearly two weeks since we met, I have texted and left messages with no response and haven't heard from him since we met.

From start to finish a very professional operation. They came out and made measurements and then provided a detailed contract of work to be done. Very good communication of when payments were due and for what. I specifically wanted engineered hardwood made in America and when I selected the product , they ordered it from South Carolina which took about a week. They moved furniture and removed the carpet and tested the slab for moisture. Gavin recommended an additional sealant be applied which took a day to dry. The next day they installed the new floor, moved several large pieces of furniture back for me, and cleaned up. The new floor looks wonderful!

Stuart & Gavin did an awesome job & meet my expectations. They are honest, friendly, knowledgeable, punctual, professional & detail oriented. Our hardwood floors look amazing & brand new! The family room addition is our favorite place to spend time together. I would highly recommend Ocean Flooring & Construction to my family and friends!

I am an older lady, who was skeptical of contractors from past experiences. After meeting with Stuart the owner, I felt very comfortable. He was very knowledgeable and not pushy. He spent a lot of time to help plan and design. He was always on time for appointments and work. The project took about two to three months as he projected. The crew was very respectful of my home and cleaned up every day. The few minor issues at the end were addressed immediately and for no extra charge. The end result was beautiful, and stayed within budget. I could not be happier and intend to use Stuart and his crew on any future projects.

They did a great job. Gavin explained the different types of installation available. He was incredibly patient and nice. He wound up saving me $2500.00.

We were extremely hesitant to have our lovely but worn wood floors refurbished. After speaking with Gavin and Stuart many times, we were convinced of their knowledge, honesty and work ethic. We decided to have them do the floors and could be been more pleased. The finished work is beyond our expectations. They were timely, professional and careful with our furniture as they moved it. After our return six days later, the house was in perfect condition with hardly any residue and the floors are better We would highly recommend them.

We needed to remove old carpets, install engineered hardwood flooring, and have minor repairs done in several locations throughout the house. We called several companies but it was Ocean Flooring that got back to us within 24 hours. We set up an appointment for an estimate and Gavin, along with Patrick for the construction assessment, showed up early! They were both very respectful and patient with my elderly father and worked very professionally with my brother and myself. We felt comfortable immediately with both Gavin and Patrick and opted to move forward with the work. We truly couldn't be more pleased. There wasn't even one time during the entire process that we felt anything other than well cared for as the customer. Every concern/question was addressed, they were always on time, completed the work on time, ?and maintained a superb attention to detail . We are very, very pleased!! From our first contact with Gavin we felt that we were dealing with a professional organization. He and everyone we dealt with at Ocean Flooring were always professional, prompt, responsive and very detailed in every way. No question was left unanswered, and they were a pleasure to work with. The guys who did the work, Rudy and Luis, showed up early or on time every day, and were extremely polite, neat, and always considerate of our schedule. They worked with us to get exactly the right color of stain we wanted, and did a be wonderful job. Every step was done with the highest quality of workmanship and attention to detail, with a thorough clean up on the last day. And the floors look like new, and are absolutely beautiful! Ocean Flooring did a great job for us. They were punctual, polite, accommodating and most importantly did a great job on all aspects of the install (including moving bulky furniture around and helping organize it so we could still have a functioning house during the project). Our primary contacts were Gavin and Omar - who were a pleasure to deal with, but our interactions with everybody at Ocean Flooring were positive. They also were very considerate of specific requests related to safety during the project due to a family member that has mobility problems. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Gavin's contact visit was very professional and thorough in his analysis regarding work needed to be done. Not pushy at all. He followed through with a written proposal and set up a schedule to perform the work. Entire staff was easy to work with and very knowledgeable and very conscientious in their work ethic. Work was completed on time and within the proposed budget, respecting my limited retirement income. I was extremely pleased with the entire process.

He has yet to call after I have left several voicemails. After this review was left, he did call me and apologize. He gave me reasons why he was unable to help me.

From the initial contact with Gavin to do the estimates, through the visits by Stuart to consult regarding a cracked slab and upstairs structural problems to the six days of demo and installation, this company did a quality job. Rudy and Omar showed up every day on time, worked non-stop, and did an excellent job cleaning up before leaving. I am so happy with my new floors, and would definitely use Ocean Flooring again. They treated my home as if it were theirs.

We did get one bid from another company which was $2000 less, but were impressed with the professionalism and detailed nature of the estimate so felt strongly about our choice to go with Ocean Flooring. They listened to our concerns about baseboards and integrating the floor attractively around two travertine hearths. Slight hitch in the beginning in getting an initial response after sending a message through Angie's List, but once the connection was made, things were solid. The flooring we ordered was available sooner than expected so the job began quickly The two installers were very neat as they worked, cleaning as they went. Super efficient! The job took 4 days (less than what we were originally told) and the floors are absolutely beautiful. Their work is superior. Only suggestion: Although I have a decent understanding of the process myself (and it was explained on the front end as well) because the demo went more quickly than originally expected, I was not told that we couldn't be in the house until the morning I was expected to leave due to the application of the slab sealer which needs a lengthy drying time. I thought I might have been told this the night before so I could prepare, but that didn't happen. Although this was resolved politely, finding places for pets and getting a hotel room on sort notice was completely unexpected. It would be very beneficial to have a one-page print out with a potential time line of the job so that planning can be handled seamlessly. Otherwise, highly satisfied. Ocean Flooring does excellent work!

Met with rep who asked questions, answered our questions and took measurements. Got an estimate back via email within a few days that was in-line with other estimates I'd received. Went with Ocean Flooring, as their estimates were much more detailed, they'd spent the most time with us (by quite a lot), and they had much higher feedback ratings than the others. Scheduled the work and they showed up and got to work right away. All workers were very pleasant, focused, and did very meticulous work. This was especially apparent due to the fact that we hadn't prepared sufficiently, and they had to work around us as we moved furniture and other belongings from room to room. Workers were very careful to avoid any damage as materials and equipment was being moved, and they made an effort (without my stressing the point) to finish work in a particular area so that we could minimize the downtime of our internet + wifi. They were also very courteous to our neighbours, not making excessive noise or blocking others in our small cul-de-sac. As the job was finishing up, the worker who was installing and painting the new molding did a little extra work on an area that wasn't part of the original bid; something that made our living room look much nicer. We appreciated that very much. As with most non-trivial jobs, we had some questions and a minor issue or two after it was all over. One of the toilets that had been removed and re-installed when the tile was laid down now rocked from side to side slightly. I was more concerned about the possibility of a leak than about the rocking itself, so I called and the owner came by the next morning. Based upon my observations, the problem appeared to be due, in part, to a problem in the sub-floor where the bolts were anchored. This was why I couldn't simply tighten the bolts, and was unrelated to the work that was done. Regardless, the owner had his plumbing guy come by that day and resolve the issue on that toilet. The guy also sealed the other toilets while he was there. I really can't say enough good things about this company. These guys know their stuff; they get the job done right; and they make sure you're happy.

Ocean Flooring is a superb local flooring company. I received estimates from three other flooring companies and all were similar in cost. The reason I went with Ocean Flooring is that they had the most detailed estimate, had good relationships with suppliers and were responsive to all my questions and requests. The job meant a lot to me and Ocean Flooring took all my requests seriously (all my requests were in reason). The job was not small and as a working person $17,500 is a lot of money. However, my concerns grew less as each day progressed. T As a medium to largish job not everything went smoothly and that is to be expected, but here is the difference: the issues were not huge and they always immediately corrected as I brought them up or they informed me. One example is that a few small details didn't come out to my satisfaction. Ocean flooring took my input seriously and corrected things with respect and alacrity. Also, everything was done to make sure I was satisfied. Another indication to their skill and professionalism is the stuff they did that you wouldn't normally or commonly see: they took the same care and expertise to install flooring and molding in small closets and under the appliances where you would never see it. It is when nobody can see your work and you do it right is a great indicator of professionalism. They are the real deal We constantly get great comments on our floors. We are very satisfied with this company and would always recommended them

I didn't get any drawings. Angie's List Deal said I would get the following: $100 for a bathroom design consultation with drawings - In-home consultation - Final in-home plan review - $200 credit toward your total remodeling project if you hire service provider to perform the work. I basically paid to get an estimate, which one would normally get anyway when getting bids for a project. When I bought the deal, I expected someone to consult with me and provide me a design of what I wanted. It turns out I got a consultation which was nice from a very nice fellow, but I don't think a nice fellow up-selling me beyond my budget and frankly beyond what I think was a fair price, was the deal I had in mind. My rating is ONLY about the misleading Deal I purchased from Angie's List. I have no hangups or thoughts on the company itself or their work since I haven't used them. My recommendation is do not mislead, misrepresent or bait and hook people with deals for designs and drawings that are really only up-selling opportunities to give normally free written estimates.

It went great. He was very knowledgeable and prompt.

Stuart gave me the estimate in June. I selected Ocean Flooring because the estimate was competitive, and Stuart took time to explain my choices of flooring and installation. I decided on the engineered hardwood and floating installation. I had the floors leveled by a construction firm. Since they were not close to being leveled, almost an inch off, Stuart's team had to do considerably more leveling. The whole job was completed in about 4 days. They hardly took a break for lunch. Not only were they very professional, they were very pleasant and neat and clean. When they left for the day, everything was cleaned up. The floors are beautiful. I am very pleased with the engineered floors and the floating installation. I highly recommend Ocean Flooring. Stuart and his team are flexible, professional, and extremely nice. They were willing to work around furniture, me and my dog, and complete the leveling job that the contractor had failed to do. Update: Nine months later, my floors still look beautiful. They are easy to maintain. The floating installation worked well. It seems to be no more noisy than if they had been glued down. After my recent experience with two other contractors (one landscaping and one cement), it was a double pleasure to have worked with Ocean Flooring. They are honest, professional, clean and are experts in hardwood flooring.

Stuart (the owner) was extremely humble, professional and knowledgeable. Outbid three other companies we looked at. Finished the project within the original timeline and quote. Three months after the installation I noticed a couple boards were starting to splinter severely (a manufacturer defect). I called Stuart to inquire about how to fix it. Even though Ocean Flooring was not at fault, they came out and fixed it for free. Very happy with their work and customer service.

Stuart and his lads do a really good job. They are very likable, hardworking and professional. I would definitely recommend them for flooring work.

It took about a week or two weeks to complete the work and the results are excellent for the new floors.

The team at Ocean Flooring were phenomenal from start to finish. Stuart was the first contractor to provide us with an estimate and when I called back to confirm the job, he was ready to start immediately the following week. His crew arrived on time everyday (sometimes a little early) and worked hard throughout the day. They were all very friendly and professional. When my husband or I had concerns or questions, they stopped to address our concerns or answer our questions. The job took less than a week and the entire team worked hard! The finishing touch was when Stuart called my husband to stop by and bring us his recommended cleaning kit for the floors. Talk about customer service! Fantastic touch on his part. I would absolutely recommend Ocean Flooring to anyone looking for an honest, reputable, and knowledgable contractor. My expectations were far exceeded. Thank you Ocean!

- Received referral from Jandby's Remodeling, with whom I was very pleased. - Estimate was done on the weekend, and was very quick. He provided vendors he was familiar with using. Stuart was very polite & professional. - After materials were ordered & picked-up, we set a date and I made sure my keys were available. Over the course of the week Stuarts team removed old carpet and did an excellent job of installing engineered hardwood flooring. They moved all furniture for a small fee. The craftsmanship is excellent, I have zero complaints. For quality of work and ease of working with them, I would recommend them for sure. - The only drawback was that I noticed the framing of a closet sliding mirror was damaged, probably during furniture moving. I contacted the company about the issue and received an initial response saying they'd come to look at it, but I never received follow-up on that. Also, someone in the crew cleaned their paintbrushes in my sink after painting the trim, which left me scrubbing with paint thinner trying to remove it from the small scratches in the stainless steel sink. I was able to clean it up no problem, but I would've appreciated that person not using my kitchen sink as a brush cleaner.
