Description of Work: French Custom Shutters is a top notch group - very professional from the first visit where my windows were measured and options were discussed to the installation. French offers a very high quality, custom product which are manufactured in their shop. Their shutter system is a bit unique in that it uses a pin system versus staples. Rick, who installed the shutters, couldn't have been more professional an pleasant - very nice man. Thanks French for a great product and service!

+ -1 moreLOVE our shutters and bookcase! We initially contacted Marty to measure for wood shutters on our upstairs landing/loft area. Marty's company designed, manufactured and installed all the shutters in our house, so we naturally called him. Our existing shutters were all painted white. However, this new set, I wanted to match a cherry wood door that was next to the window. Marty came to measure and provided wood stain samples to choose from. When I mentioned that I am looking to have a built in bookcase made for the area but didn't know how I was going to get the wood to match the shutters, he mentioned they could build the bookcase for me. Marty's quote for the bookcase was highly competitive. From the quality of shutters, and their fine finish work, I knew the bookcase would turn out beautifully. After 3-4 weeks, my shutters and bookcase were completed. The stain matched perfectly to my existing door. The craftsmanship of the shutters is THE BEST. The finish is absolutely flawless. Marty's company truly creates beautiful shutters that last a lifetime. My "older" shutters from French Shutters are 14 years old and they look and function just like my new ones. They are beautiful and definitely built to last. Marty's installer is professional and very courteous. The bookcase looks perfect below the shuttered window and gives the space a purpose and warmth I was looking for.

He was very good to work with. The shutters were completed within 3 weeks and the installer was also very pleasant and did a good job.
