We have a water softener that malfunctioned and send all of the resin beads into our plumbing. As the service contract people were not sending anyone for a week and we were not getting any water inside the house, we had our own plumber come out and clear all of our water lines and fixtures of the plastic beads. We saved a small amount to show the service contract person when he came out and we put the water softener on by-pass and unplugged it. Delta Mechanical was the company that was send out by the service contract people. He arrived on time, then he stood about 3 feet away and declared that the water softener was working just fine, even though it was not plugged in and on by-pass and therefore was not working at all. We tried to show him the plastic beads, but he was not interested. Then he saw that we had galvanized pipes and decided he was not going to work on it at all because we should not have a water softener at all, that the salt was corroding the pipes and he did not work on galvanized pipes and we should have the house replumped at a cost of about $8,000.00, which is what this company mainly does. We pointed out that we were not using salt, we were using potassium, which is non-corrosive and that he was not there to work on the pipes to begin with. He stated that he did not know anything about this. At no point in time did he physically check either the water softener or the pipes for damage. He declared again that the water softener was working just fine (even though still not plugged in and still on by-pass) and that he was not working on galvanized pipes and left without doing anything at all. Shortly thereafter I found another piece of line that was plugged up with the beads and I cleared it myself and now had a much larger sample of what was in the pipes. We called the service contract providers again and they send the same person out again. This visit was the same as the first visit, except that he was a lot ruder that time. He still refused to actually inspect any of the problem personally and he did not want to look at the sample of what was in the pipes. He left again without doing anything at all, but he did tell our service contractor that he personally inspected everything and it was all working fine and the problem was the corrosion in the galvanized pipes, which was totally untrue. Besides, the water softener was still on by-pass and not plugged in, therefore not working at all and he never actually looked at any pipes, so could not know if they were corroded or not. We were then allowed by the service contractor to call anyone of our choice to fix the water softener, who determined that the problem was a blown resin bead basket, which is not caused by erosion. They are coming out shortly to repair it.
Description of Work: Was send to us by our extended service contract with GE to service a malfunctioning water softener.

Fellow from Delta showed up on time, and immediately started complaining that he could not do the job. First, he wasn't prepared to do the wall-to-ptrap. Then he complained that the drawers on the vanity couldn't be removed (not true; I told him I could do that for him), he complained that the cabinet wasn't bolted to the wall, he tried to use a can light trim between the vessel and the granite top and complained that he didn't know how to use it (I explained it was from a light). At that point, I wanted him to leave and he wanted to leave. I was hoping that he would at least do the plumbing in the cabinet, and I could do the wall-to-sink plumbing. (Seriously, it was a bit of tile trimming, then gluing the male pvc into place. It took 15 minutes to do after the Delta guy left.)The plumber was correct about the wall issue, but the majority of the work could easily have been done otherwise. The Delta man left, Home Depot and Delta charged a $50 trip charge for no work done. My recommendation: call Bill at Northridge handyman services: 520-820-01117. He did the whole job in less than 2 hours and charged me less than half what Home Depot/Delta charged.
Description of Work: They were hired through Home Depot to install a vessel sink and faucet/lav filler. I told Home Depot that there would also need to be a male pipe istalled from the in-wall plumbing to the p-trap.

Description of Work: I called to try and get someone to fix a slab leak in my garage. I was passed to two different people before I got a recording that the person who handled this type of work was unavailable. Not helpful

Delta was the subcontractor selected for us by Home Depot to install a new gas hot water heater. The gentlemen who came to give us an estimate also, at our request, gave us an estimate for a tankless system. We opted for the standard, tanked hot water heater based on their recommendation. Installation went very smoothly, even though the space in our home where the tank is situated is very small. Would definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: Installation of a gas hot water heater (tank) inside our home.

I was extremely disappointed as I just had my entire home painted, but they were just great, now that the job is over, you can't tell they were here! They were professional, on time, courteous, and unbelievably hard working! The price was also great.
Description of Work: They had to replumb my entire home - hot and cold water.
