Description of Work: I had the coupon from Angies's List. The were very professional. They power washed the house and cleaned the windows on the outside and cleaned the screens. It was very good.

+ -1 moreDefinitely a bait and switch. $99.00 to clean windows, but was told they wouldn't look clean unless the screens were done for an additional amount. They counted my windows differently than I did. My one living room window that I counted as one, they counted as 3 windows. We agreed to pay an extra $120.00, but about a week later, i found that one of the large second story windows did not get cleaned at all. The actual technician did a good job on the windows he did, but I didn't expect to pay so much for these services. I definitely would not have these people come back.

+ -1 moreI called to make the appt. Nice lady but she was not sure how the pricing went, but she knew second story was included and the price was based on panes on one side. the washer came promptly. He confused me more on the pricing. The screens must come off with some of my windows but they do not get cleaned, nor do the sills with out additional cost. the sides of the windows were not all rag wiped, that might have cost more (?) but it doesn't look good. He was pleasant, quick and courtious, just too speedy. and even tho I have spot wiped they , they look dull and streaky.ally is
Description of Work: He washed the outside of some windows and the inside of the transomes . now 1 month later there are streaks from the remaining resinue. It was just not a good job. He talked a lot and was fun to listen to but that was not why he was hires. I do not feel that "whole house window cleaning " relly discribes the job.r

+ -1 moreI never called America's Best until I finally, almost a year later, after many e-mails fom Angie's list prompting me to review the service, and in the process of writing the review I noticed that I should have contacted the company for some help. In any case, today I called them and told them the entire story today and was told I waited too long to let them know and nothing could be done for me. I really didn't expect anything could be done but I was just following the posted process.
Description of Work: I purchased an Anglie's list voucher for a window cleaning and another for rescreening for anderson door sliders. I expained the exact number of doors and windows in great detail: sizes, tyes and everything. When the service person arrived he told me the deal did not cover my voucher. The doors and windows were too big according to him. He said that he would honor he voucher for the window cleaning but that he could not finish that day and would return on Saturday if I did not report the problem to Angies List or give him a bad review. I believed him. Big mistake. He never called, never returned. I tipped him and as I believed what he promised, continued to have him do the rescrrening. He then told me that they did not explain the screen replacement deal correctly and that he could only do half of the doors they told me they would do. Once again I believed him and I paid the difference to him. He did a good job on the actual screening, but it cost me more than I was told. I do not know if the service person was dishonest or the company is, in either case I felt like I made a mistake in trusting Angie's list and America's Best. I don't really like to complain,but I actually believe that spending the time to write this serves the purpose of warning people of the tricks businesses and their employees play on their clients

Once he was here, he stated that if we wanted him to clean rails, ( which were pretty clean, it would be an additional amount, if we wanted screens, it would be another additional amount... he was not aware that we had already bought a coupon and wanted to chargeus more. I asked if he wanted me to call the office so as to verify that I had already boughtr the Angie's Deal.
Description of Work: He lacked professionalism in cleaning up and dd not use booties inside while cleaning windows. He left foot marks inside tub.

+ -1 moreHe came out this morning. He told me right away that he wouldn't be able clean the inside, outside and screens. He said they will just do inside or outside and no screens. Then he mentioned we could pay more to have those things done. I told him that was not our understanding of the deal. We told him what we expected and he said they would do that. I felt they were trying to get us to pay more so we did not have the work don. We had the deal refunded.

+ -1 moreThe window washer was polite and arrived on time. The job took loner than he anticipated and he let me know that. Overall he did a decent job. Some of the last windows he cleaned were done in a rush and I had to go over the streaks after he left. Mostly I felt that I was lead to believe that the special offer was a good deal, I went for it and then I was charged extra for every "special" window. It go costly at the end! I would not go with this company as I think this was inacurate advertisement! 1
Description of Work: The company charged me well above the original quote. Every wondow frame was extra and it quickly added up well above the advertised price. The cleaning was fair, there were streaks that I had to go over myself,

+ -1 moreThe service was not bad, but I gave a "D" for professionalism because the onsite supervisor and an employee got into an altercation in the midst of the job, and brought me into their dispute. The supervisor fired the employee on the spot, told him he would not be paid, and complained to me about the poor job the employee was doing. I did not really know the difference, and tried to stay out of it, but then the employee, who was a young man, returned with his father to confront the supervisor, and I was forced to spend time addressing the dispute. I was not happy and will not use this company again.

+ -1 moreThis company is running a total scam, and I was shocked that it was run through Angie's List. I have purchased similar deals (or so I thought) from other Angie's List companies for around $200... The advertised price for THiS company was $129.00. I thought I was getting a deal. I should have known better. The quoted $129 was for a limited number of windows ( I think in the 20-25 range), AND the inside and outside of the window counted as TWO windows, thereby cutting that limited number in half. Moreover, the cleaning did NOT include the window tracks or the screens. Other deals, again for a little more money, were up-front and included everything. The "details" of this deal were not disclosed upfront. The company did tell me on the phone that inside/outside counted as 2 when I booked the appointment, but did not mention tracks or screens being extra until the technician arrived. To make matters worse, since I have non-standard sized picture windows, each of those was counted as TWO windows, cutting half, again, the so-called number of windows. And, again, not disclosed until the technician arrived. In total, for the $129 I had about 4 window cleaned. A far cry from 20-25. With this firm, had I had them perform the same service I had received in the past for other firms for around $200, it would have cost me *several* hundred dollars. Totally ridiculous.
Description of Work: I purchased this service through one of the Angie's list deals, and this is not the first company I have used for window cleaning and through an advertised Angie's List deal. It was $129 for residential window washing. This typically includes interior and exterior windows, based ona rough estimate of the size of the house (my house is just over 1900 sq ft).

The only thing that seemed unprofessional was that the window cleaner offered to fix screens on his own...not through the company. It seemed like he was running a business on the side, even though his employer would also fix screens.

+ -1 moreThe repair man showed up right on time and even called before to let me know he was on his way. He was very friendly and polite from the start and got to work right away. He took all the screens down and told me that several of them were very damaged and needed to be repaired. He said it would be $2 per corner, which I thought was very reasonable. He said he would overshoot the time estimate and said to give him 2 hours. It ended up taking just over an hour and the screens all look fantastic. He did a great job on all of them and I think it makes our unit look a lot cleaner now that we have new screens in all of our windows.
Description of Work: I had four windows rescreened and one screen built. They also repaired the corners on several of my screens that were damaged.

He was very knowledgable and helpful in suggesting which screens needed replacement and which ones just needed cleaning. He had me review his work and was very willing to make any changes or repair anything else. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely be using them again in the future!

Description of Work: I have scheduled the cleaning at 2:00 p.m. but the workers called me in stating that it would be too late of schedule and the scheduler should not have made such late appointment. They came earlier and I had to leave office to come home.The cleaner brought a friend to help out, not an employee from the company.A few window screens meshed up after the cleaning.The windows were cleaned but left some marks. They did some extra work to clean my drive way because one of the guys finished up early.I felt the job was really rushed.

+ -1 moreI bought an Angie's List coupon for a special, of 5 screens replaced. After I bought the coupon I called the company during regular business hours and it went to voicemail. I was a bit concerned, because I had never done this by pay-in-advance coupon before, but they called me back within an hour and scheduled a local sub to do the work. He came on time and cut and fitted 5 custom screens as promised. They did not entirely fit as well as they did before (slightly not wide enough), which made me wonder if we had some of the screens in the wrong windows, but that cannot be the case as none were too big. In any case, although not perfect it was very reasonable for the price and I was satisfied with the result.

I was impressed by the prompt response I received and pleased that the company had open appointments when I needed one prior to an open house I had scheduled. On the day of the appointment (three weeks ago Friday, San Diegans, take note) - I received a call from Amanda who informed me the company had to "reschedule because of the rain". Rain. We are not talking Seattle, people. It DID drizzle for about 15 minutes that morning but not enough to even register on the weather service's annual rainfall for San Diego. Rain? Anyway, I suggested that (a) we start cleaning the 10 interiors, after which the rain would have ended (it did, five minutes later) and the exteriors could be done thereafter; or (b), just clean the windows and the alleged rain be damned. No, Amanda was adamant that no window cleaning would happen that day. No amount of rational discussion would change her mind, that my appointment had to be changed and a new one made for two weeks in the future. When I told her this was not acceptable, Amanda suggested perhaps America's Best was not the company for me. I have to agree.
