we built a new backyard studio and had top of the line Milgard doors and windows installed by American Home Renewal. From start to finish, the process went smooth, hassle-free, and timely. I'm so glad I chose AHR to do the work and that I followed their recommendation for the best windows/doors available! After the job, my wife insisted that I get the same doors for our main house which I promptly did. Again, the job went flawlessly!

Mark and Keith and their team replaced my 3 bedrooms 2 bath windows in the early 2000s. It has been almost 15 to 18 years since they did the work and we have been enjoying these windows which were installed perfectly by Mark's crew. Both the owners are great human beings, work extremely hard, and his attitude reflects on his crew and his staff. One of my patio door screens was falling apart after all these years ( The wire mesh is coming off the screen doors ). It's a normal wear and tear and I called today to seek some help. I wasn't sure that they will respond. Not only are the original owners in business, but Sandra on the phone was amazing and dug up my file in her system. She was even able to pull up my home address etc. She jumped on my request and helped me the same way the owners would have personally done so. Told ya !! the attitude of the owners reflects on their staff. Me and my wife would personally like to send a big Thank You !! to Mark and Keith, the owners and their team for not only working hard to win our project 15 years ago, but more importantly keeping their business together to help our local community. Well done Mark and Keith !! The windows are holding up solidly after all these years and they look like they were installed yesterday. Call us to say Hello !!

Very well. The job was done quickly. We were always kept informed. Everything was cleaned up well. This is an excellent company. I am unable to compare prices because we did not shop . We used this company because they were highly recommended and we were not disappointed.

It went very well. The windows came in the expected timeframe and were installed in less than quoted time. The installers were very considerate of our home and left no mess behind. I highly recommend.

From Start to Finish, American Home renewal was a class act. I was given a very competitive offer with no hidden costs on my chosen start date. Communication between the office, sales, production, crew, etc was exceptional. Crew arrived always on time, worked hard, were respectful and professional and appropriately supervised. Misha, Alex and Dennis treated my home as if it were their own, with attention to each little detail and creative problem solving. Alex and Dennis custom crafted my garage door and an entrance to fit the crawl space and while doing this somehow fixed non-functional electrical outlets without my ever asking. Windows were expertly installed in a day and Miguel took his time to make sure the door was perfectly placed. The experience was hassle free and I was actually sad to see the crew leave as I liked them so much. This project was the best investment and solution to an exterior of peeling paint w/ dry rot wood. My home not only looks 100% better, it is also protected from the elements, well insulated and will not need to be repainted. I've gotten many compliments on my new home and I couldn't be happier w/ American Home Renewal.

Our American Home Renewal experience was flawless from the start, with the team arriving promptly and immediately tackling the project. We had previously hired another firm, who struggled to figure out how to execute our project. The American Home Renewal team was clearly experienced and well-trained, and they completed the project faster than we expected and and a reasonable price. Also, they cleaned up their work at the end of each day and were friendly and pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend American Home Renewal.

American Home Renewal did a fantastic job on our siding replacement and window addition project at a very reasonable price and were a conscientious, pleasant, straight-forward team to work with. Context: Our 3-story building has two condo units. We needed to replace an entire exterior wall's plywood siding that had significant dry rot and repair any rot that had reached the framing. While we were at it, we wanted to add four additional windows to that wall. Chris at AHR was very helpful and knowledgeable talking through recommendations with us, which included replacing our old plywood with lower-maintenance engineered HardieBoard siding. I am very detail oriented and ask many questions. He was never dismissive of our questions, and treated my co-owner and I (both women) with respect. His bid was both well-priced (comparable to bids for plywood siding not HardieBoard) and very comprehensive, including a detailed list of all material and services that were included in the project. He was always very responsive, replying to emails and calls within a day, both before and after we signed the contract. AHR has crews devoted to different work, e.g. siding, windows & doors. So our project was done in two parts: Team 1, headed by Andrew, first removed the old siding, did framing and structural work for the new windows, and installed the windows; Team 2 installed the new insulation, vapor barrier, plywood siding, and external siding (HardieBoard). Andrew, who headed Team 1, was exceedingly conscientious. He talked through choices as they came up, such as what parts of the framing had rot and needed to be replaced. In all cases, we talked through different options, and their cost differences. I felt we were able to make informed decisions about every aspect of the project without delaying progress. His team was also very respectful when they needed to do work from inside our home, covering everything with tarps, helping with furniture moving, and giving us advance notice of when they would need access. Team 2, who specializes in siding, worked like an amazing team of acrobats. I was amazed by how quickly they did their work, up and down the 3-story wall, and the very high quality of finish. This team's specializing on siding clearly pays off in its efficiency and quality. Both teams coordinated necessary inspections and left the work site tidy and well protected from the elements (this was in January) every day. My one negative of the experience is that our project start was delayed several months. This was primarily due to our building plans not being finalized by the initial start date AHR had assigned us due to open questions with the engineer (not AHR). After those were sorted out, we had to wait a few months for AHR to have another time slot for us. It was disappointing, but understandable given the high demand and low supply for construction services in the Bay Area right now. This was by far my best experience of several projects hiring contractors, tradesmen, or handypeople for home improvement work.

Like i said i own Sierra construction in Fresno and these guys are pros.

I was looking for window repair, but I opted to go with a contractor I'd worked with in the past. American Home Renewal were friendly and helpful, though.

Everything went great. Only issue was i had to wait for 5 months from time of contract signing to starting the project. They were very busy. Overall - i love my new windows. Miguel and his crew did a wonderful job.

The installation of the windows and doors was done professionally and quickly. No complaints on the quality of the work done. The crew was very understanding and nice to work with. They made sure they cleaned up after the install. Definitely would recommend and use for future work.

Great outcome to job. Company was easy to work with and delivered finished project as promised. This job required matching siding and trim on an older home in order to maintain aesthetic integrity.

American Home Renewal is dependable, with good follow through, a great product and a terrific, professional staff. Our home is in an official Historical District, and the cities guidelines are very specific. American Home Renewal and I presented the James Hardy fiber cement siding and wood clad windows to obtain the permit to the cities building department, showing the product to them as an alternative to the original wood siding and windows they were insisting I install. It took a few times of going back to the city, but we persisted and they finally approved the project, and said it would be a “test case” for the Historical district. It looks amazing. The crew was fast and efficient. They took care of any problems along the way. Really nice people in the company. Now with the rain is here, the house is warm and secure. I am so satisfied with this company and it’s product. Very grateful.

We're neighbors and he gave us an amazing deal. His service was excellent as stated above. Chris was very available, knowledgeable and helpful during our decision-making process. Everything arrived in a timely manner. The product was beautiful and everything worked well. We were totally happy with every aspect and we would do it again with Chris.

They did an excellent job and the windows are gorgeous and extremely functional! They have transformed the cabin from funky and creaky to warm, well-insulated and quiet. The windows function perfectly, are made of beautiful fir and look perfect in our cabin. The crew was very professional--did exactly what they said they'd do, kept the job site clean, and did everything all on time. We could not be happier with the job.

In the first instance, we worked with their team to locate oversized double pane doors for four 8 foot sliders. They found us a very competitive price and the team installed the doors on time/budget and let the house spotless (no suprises whatsoever). For our second job, the team unfortunately found some dry to when they removed the original framing. I was presented with a estimate on the remediation work and upon receiving my go-ahead , they made short work of replacing the impacted framing. In the end, the delay to the original time estimate was 1 business day.,

Our experience with American Home Renewal was outstanding in every way. We had American Home Renewal install Hardie Siding, a new front door, one new window and trim around several windows. The professionalism from the beginning, the constant communication, the quality workmanship, the speed of the project, the cleanliness and the follow through was all beyond our expectations. The final project was better than we could have hoped for and we have since received several comments and compliments that our house looks brand new. Having a background in architecture, I am meticulous when it comes to details and perfection and this job was perfect. We would highly recommend American Home Renewal to anyone and everyone and we would use them again and again!

I am beyond thrilled with the Hardie siding that was installed by American Home Renewal. For me, this was a "big" project and I was very anxious about choosing the right company. After much research, I decided on AHR because siding is one of their specialties. After meeting with Nick, I knew I made the right decision. He explained the company, the process, the materials, and answered all my questions and concerns. I never felt like I was asking a dumb question and I never felt pressured to sign a contract. Even after the initial meeting, all of my questions and change orders were always handled promptly. I was always kept informed. Many thanks to Nick, Andrew, Nataly, Sandra, and Misha and his crew, who were all friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and made this old house look new.

Despite my specific concerns noted during and after installation, the siding now directs rain to my wooden deck where it now gathers and sits promoting rot

Coy came out to the house. He was very professional, friendly and able to provide a quote within a few hours. Their price was in the middle of several quotes.

It went well. American Home Renewal gave an extremely professional sales presentation which was very impressive. They brought a heat lamp to demonstrate how the high end windows completely block the heat from entering into the window (superior insulation). It took several months to actually get the windows built and installed but it was worth the wait. San Francisco has restrictions on the street facing windows. I chose aluminum clad wood windows that comply with city codes. They took care of the permits and installation as well. I had 2 sets of sliding windows installed facing the street. About $2,000 each or so. So expensive, but really high end.

The process from beginning to end went great. Their estimate was exact and no surprises. They showed up when planned and finished sooner than expected. The only negative was with clean up. It just wasn't as thorough as I had hoped and expected. After they left we filled almost 2 garbage bags of debris and picked up a pound or so of nails. To be fair, AHR did not do the removal of the original siding. That was done by another company since it was asbestos. So some of the trash was residual from the removal. I would hire them again without question!

They were very punctual and finished on time, about 2 1/2 weeks. The quality of work seems very good and the crew cleaned up everything very nicely at the end of the job. It is a noisy process, so best if you have somewhere to go during the day. The business office staff were very responsive to any issues I raised. The only complaint, and it is quite minor, is that we had to remind the work crew on a couple occasions to shut the gate to the backyard before they went home so deer wouldn't get in and eat our landscaping. Prior to engaging American Home Renewal, we had signed a contract with Home Depot. But after waiting 6 months while they searched for a sub-contractor to do the work, we dismissed them and went with AHR whose estimate came in substantially lower than Home Depot's. Overall we are quite happy with the outcome.
