ALL WAYS READY REPAIR CO

We have an 11 year old top freezer/ frig. Water was dripping down from the "ceiling" of the lower section, although everything in the top (freezer) compartment seemed to be frozen solid. We checked Angie's List under appliance repair-large, but couldn't tell which companies were expert in refrigerators; also, the reports on the two nearest repair services did not support their A ratings. We picked All Ways Ready because their Yellow Pages Ad featured refrigerator repairs. We called at 7:45am and the very polite receptionist gave us an appointment that same day at 6pm. The repairman, Julio, arrived 15 minutes early. When we described the problem and showed him where the water was coming from, he immediately suspected a clogged drain in the freezer. He said he could repair it immediately for $200 and would not have to order any parts. We emptied the freezer and then he stripped out the ice maker and many other components to finally reveal the fan and all the coils. He replaced the clogged drain tube and after cleaning them put all the pieces back together; problem solved. He even cleaned out our very dirty condenser after running down to his truck for a special brush (we have a 4th floor walk up). He finished up by giving us a lot of advice about refrigerator maintenance both specific to this episode, and in general. He was here about 1 1/2 hours. We were amazed that this repair was accomplished the same day we called.
