I was referred to Brian Stewart, aka Thistle Plumbing, by the Perma-Liner Corporation. Brian is a certified installer. If you are considering a Perma-Liner, I recommend calling the corporation and getting a referral for a certified installer in your area. I had talked to several plumbers during the past three years regarding a Perma-Liner. Licensed plumbers can sell the product but they are not nearly as knowledgeable about the product and its installation as a certified installer. Brian came to the house with his video camera, video taped the inside of the sewer line, and showed me the camera screen, explaining what he saw in the line. He spent about an hour at the property explaining how he would do my job and the reasons for it. It was the most thorough explanation I had received from a plumber. I also had a subsurface gas line job to do. A previous plumber had totally botched the job and it had to be completely redone. Brian gave me an estimate for the Perma-Liner and the three subsurface gas lines. His pricing was competitive and he was certainly the most knowledgeable. I hired him to do the job. After the job began, I hired him to do additional work which included a new main gas line for one of the units and inspections and corrections pertaining to the previous plumber's poor work. Total cost of the job was $18,870. The job went smoothly and without any stress whatsoever. Brian's crew was neat, personable and very hard working. An English speaking supervisor was on site when Brian was not. During the course of the job, Brian would call me outside to show me what he was doing, ask me if I wanted to take photographs, and answer any questions I had. He made himself fully available to answer my questions and his explanations were thorough, concise and to the point. There were no delays. The crew worked successive days until the job was complete. I highly recommend Brian Stewart.
Description of Work: Installed a Perma-Liner to a main sewer line in a 1922 Craftsman triplex, re-routed three subsurface gas lines to accommodate new construction, installed a new main gas line in one unit, performed inspections and corrections for work botched by a previous plumber.
