Teak Master

Beyond Perfect. Oscar and his crew worked two full days+ and when they were done and I went and looked at it, I was just blown away. These men are artists in their work. The prep, attention to detail and finished product is almost too perfect to believe. I cannot say how happy I am with Teak Master and their work.

Our deck looks fantastic. As good or better than new. The team was on time and made sure everything was done to my satisfaction.

Amazing. Tim was great at responding right away, asking for pictures and sizing before giving a quote. When the guys came out to do the work, they were super friendly and knowledgeable. The deck looks gorgeous now, and we're getting more work done on some other Ipe panels around the yard.

Everything looks great and they cleaned up after themselves.

Fantastic! They cleaned our patio furniture: tables, chairs, bench, Adirondack chairs, etc. Also power washed the brick patio area. Very pleased. Teak furniture looks great. Thank you so much.

WOW, what a pleasure! Team of 6 people arrived at the scheduled time, where very courteous, cooperative, professional and hard working. Tarps and plastic sheeting covered the patio, windows, etc. to contain the dust during the sanding operation and the ensuing varnishing. Would I recommend them, most definitely, YES.

I used Teak Master in February of 2017. I had to wait for the rain to stop before they could come. I'd say they did a good job. Very professional. I always make sure to tell them I want people that speak English and they do that. They restored my teak bench and club chair, which you have to do every so often, they need to be restored. They picked it up and took it because of the weather they didn't do it here. They brought it back. They said it might be a couple of weeks, they brought it back, put it in place and had me check it out before they signed off on it. I said well I understand that you shouldn't put a cover on teak but it's out in the yard, someone told me that when I bought this, and they said no that's not right. Who ever said that probably wanted my business longer. He wasn't pushy about it, his was really quality stuff and stuff but it was way too much money. I only paid less than a hundred dollars for the two pieces, to cover it and they work just fine, and they want about $250 for custom, where it would be totally custom on them but I had no need to do it custom. With everything they charged $398. The price was excellent. Anything they said they could do they would call before, that's important to me as much as that they actually come out on time. Just let me know, that's all I care, let me know.

I thought the work they did was good. However, the stains started dripping after the first rain. Basically, I have stains from the drip still on my fence. It looked great until the first rain. They came back and tried to fix it. They said unless they restrip it and do it again, I am always going to see those stains. They were going to try to restrip it and paint it.

Tim, the owner, and I first spoke on the phone regarding the scope of the project. I gave him the deck measurements and sent him photos. He then came out promptly to look at my cedar deck and review the work that needed to be done. He explained all the steps that would be completed to bring my deck back to a good condition and answered all my questions. We spoke several times after meeting and he was always available and answered all my questions. He is very knowledgeable and courteous. The work was scheduled for a mutually convenient time. Gama and his crew, Francisco, Chico, Fernando, Diego, Tino, and Oscar were professional, hardworking, knowledgeable, and courteous. They thoroughly washed the wood, sanded every inch of the deck including the railing which they removed from the deck in order to get every side, and carefully brushed on the oil sealer. They did a fantastic job over a 3 day period and completely transformed my old deck to look like it was just built! The crew put in 90 man hours and it shows. I could not be happier with the result. Teakmasters also replaced a missing slat in one of my teak chairs. It was perfectly done and you can't tell which slat was replaced!

The crew did a thorough refinish including removing several coats of varnish applied over the past 18 years—they were on-time, the work was very clean and team professional. The garage doors look like new.

It went great! Tim is a very kind and courteous person. He is also very informative. Teak Master came one day to clean all the areas. They came a couple of days later and sanded and oiled the deck. They were completely professional and did a wonderful job. In the past I've had other's come to to do the deck and they left it so the oil wasn't completely rubbed in and it stayed tacky for a long time leaving the deck unusable for a week and the stickiness catching dust and dirt . Teak Master rubbed the oil in well and we were able to walk on it in 24 hours. Everything looks truly beautiful and I'm sure we'll use them again.

I checked Angies for someone to clean/refinish my redwood deck. Called Teak Master, had a little trouble in making connections and getting calls returned but we finally got together on the phone and Tim said someone would come out and inspect my deck. A few days later that happened, we talked on the phone, he gave me a price and I accepted. Raul arrived with the crew and gave me a quick rundown as to what the crew (Raul, Freddy and Tikio) would do--I was concerned as it was already hotter than h*** and it was early AM.. he said Don't worry...we can handle the heat. I knew I had made the right choice when they covered my pool with plastic without my even requesting it. The crew was so polite and professional. They worked very very hard and didn't scrimp on the ("down on your knees) sanding and did a beautiful job preparing the redwood and the railings which is the hardest but most important part of the job. The crew stained this 1400 sq. ft. beautifully,cleaned up every scrap of material, returned the trash cans to their proper place and just did a perfect job and it took all day in the blazing sun. I won't even call anyone else when its time to do it again. Just a 100+++% job-on time, beautifully done, priced right and the crew was just wonderful to have around !!!

I am very pleased. Deck, which is redwood, is almost 30 years old and looks new. I marked down punctuality because Tim made a scheduling error an work was begun a week later than planned.

It went great! The guys were wonderful, kind and punctual. The first day two gentlemen arrived and moved my furniture off the deck with care. They worked very h****** the sanding and got up most of the faded or effected spots. At the end of the day they invited me to see the progress and we discussed next steps. The following day one gentleman arrived on time and did a sample stain. He consulted with me to be sure I had the right expectations (wood varies and some will take up the stain different than others). After he completed the job, he put all the furniture back and even arranged my center piece exactly where it was. He consulted with me a last time and we talked about maintenance and when we could expect a follow up visit. He also gave me some valuable tips on how to care for my deck between visits. Overall - the whole team were rock stars.

Excellent. The table had been outside for six years and even though it was under a patio cover it has accumulated soot and grime. It had turned (spotty) black. Teak Masters restored the table to its original beauty. They sanded, bleached and stained the tables and chairs. The table has a lattice top so there were many nooks and crannies. Lots of elbow grease involved to get the work done.

I recently had all the decayed fencing around my property removed and rebuilt along with a new pergola. The fence contractor while good did not offer staining. I interviewed a few services and honestly Teak Master was the most expensive. But it was also the only one that gave me confidence the job would be done to my standards and aesthetics. You only get one chance to get this right. I really wanted a mission dark brown stain to match the existing trim of my home. Tim the owner and his crew were excellent throughout the process. They came and stained some planks different shades and mixes so I could truly see what the final result would be like and pick what worked for me. A week before the scheduled staining... it rained, I couldn't believe it, no rain for a year and now is when it happens. The tannins in redwood seeped out and ran down the brand new white stucco wall below it. I cleaned it the best I could but I was concerned this would happen again each time it rained. Tim suggested moving the staining a week or so out and washing the fence multiple times. That week his crew came out on three separate occasions and washed all the fencing and the pergola until there was no more sap and residue, then allowed it to dry out. I appreciated that Tim did not try to rush the process and considered what was best for the final product. It took three days to paint 180 linear feet or so of fence and pergola, it was a lot of square footage. His team was on time, courteous, and professional. They were very clean both on the job and when they picked up at the end of the day. The final product is fantastic.

Tim and his incredible team at Teak Master are second to none. They took our beloved broken down sun bleached teak table and brought it back to life! It's more beautiful now than the day we bought it almost 15 years ago. They handled it with great care and were such a pleasure to work with. I have 3 redwood decks at my house, one of which gets direct sun all day. The old water based finish was completely worn off, the wood was not smooth, and there was some minor termite damage. I decided to only get the worst deck refinished, so I could see what kind of work they do. I was given 2 options - power wash and an opaque finish, or a full sanding, including having to disassemble the railing system, with an oil based semi transparent finish. I chose the semi transparent. The guys power washed the deck, and used hand and floor sanders to get the wood in better than new condition. The entire job took 3 or 4 days. They used the highest quality finish products available - no consumer grade stuff here. They also did some minor repairs, and there was no charge for these. Before they stained, they brought 4 different color samples out, and stained a board with one of each to let me decide which looked better. The deck looks incredible, like I just had an new one built! There aren't very many folks who specialize in decks maintenance. . Your normal painters don't really understand this kind of wood, or how to prep redwood. These guys specialize in only deck refinishing. Highly recommended.

Our furniture looks brand new. We are very pleased with the job that teak masters did. We will definitely use them again.

I liked that Tim was very honest and professional. His workers did a fantastic job on the railing as well as the furniture. They were professional and diligent. They were careful working on our new roof deck and cleaned up after each day. There was some miscommunication regarding scheduling, and the work took a bit longer than expected. However Tim was very apologetic and even came to complete some work himself on the weekends. I am very satisfied with the results and would be happy to hire them again. (Which I will do, as the teak furniture needs maintenance over the years).

They just left my house. The guy that did the work was on time, very pleasant, easy to deal with and knew what he was doing. What else can you ask for. Tim is a smart guy who was helpful and easy to deal with. Good company, good job. As always though, only time will tell how well the sealing holds up but I'm pretty confident it will easily last the year until I do it again.
