I chose him because he had good reviews but he did a really bad job on my yard. I actually took pictures to show what he did. I had asked that they leave the level of the yard a little below the sprinkler heads. Well, they left it, and it had so much compost and they didn't take out enough dirt, that they had 6 inches over all the sprinkler heads. I had to find them all and dig them out. Then I had to re-level it myself and haul out the dirt that they left so that it would be level and below the level of the sprinkler heads. It is kind of a sunken yard and one of the reasons why I wanted to hire someone was because I didn't want to haul out all the dirt. They didn't want to either, apparently. I ended up having to do way more work than if I had just done it myself in the first place. I was not happy. They did rototill the yard and they did add the compost. But they left too much there and they covered up all the sprinkler heads which didn't help me out any. I would give them a D because they did do the job I hired them to do, they just didn't finish the job very well. He was a very nice guy and everything.
Description of Work: We used Rototillerguy to add in compost into our yard and rototill it and level it so I could install some sod.

Response from ROTOTILLERGUY COM
We worked for Member, 2 years ago. At the time she only wanted out help to Pick Axe the Soil, RotoTill the Soil, Amend the soil so that things could begin to live in the soil, and level it all out because there were hills and ruts and pot holes in the area that she wanted to reclaim and begin to use after years of neglect. Member was ver specific that she did not want our help in repairing her sprinkler system because she was not intending to put in a lawn but instead intending to put drought tolerant plantings and she wanted to install her own drip irrigation system. She even had us install weed cloth to prevent grass and weeds from growing. She was specific about not wanting to pay to have soil and trash removed, because she could not afford to pay for the labor of removing the soil, or the dump fees for disposing of any excess soil, that she would do what she wanted to then do on her own. I think its a bit unfair that Angies List go back and do a telephone interview some 2 years after the fact, and transcribe this unflatering and untrue review and not allow me the same telephone interview before posting such a review from a non-member.

The process was incredibly easy and smooth. The rototillerguy's website was very thorough in explaining the process. The pricing tool was a great benefit. I knew before deciding exactly what it would cost. A crew of 4 came right on time and worked thoughout the day. (job took 1 3/4 days total) The quality and attention to detail was terrific. Once the old sod was removed, they pick axed the soil and tilled it over 6 inches down then added rich compost. They leveled the enriched soil and laid high quality sod. I can highly recommend their service! I am a very satisfied customer.
Description of Work: I hired the rototillerguy to remove the old sod in the back yard, prep.till the soil, add compost and lay new sod for 1,600 sqft.

Forget the - I couldn't be happier. I had four quotes, dealt with over 11 landscapers, several who wanted to upsell me on everything I didn't want. Mike's pricing was transparent, his website rocked, and he was true to his word. He was patient with the process because the installation was on a Fraternity house. Many of the vendors I've discussed this job with didn't want to take it because of that fact (what does being a fraternity have to do with landscaping?). In the end, he was true to his word, If I had to do it again, I would in a heartbeat because not only was he one of the least expensive options, he clearly had the customer service orientation I look for.
Description of Work: Mike replaced the barren earth of our front lawn with new sod. He hardscaped a new patio for us. He installed new irrigation.

Mike and his crew were just great. It's so refreshing to work with someone that is so up front about the service that is provided and what the costs will be. I recently completed a house remodel and dealt with many frustrating instances of contractors not doing what was promised, not showing up and charging more than what they initially bid. With Mike, there were no surprises and my yard looks much better than what I had envisioned. He offered suggestions which kept me within my budget without compromising the final product. Mike's crew worked tirelessly for 5 days, working first on the fene and retaining wall. The pick axe and rototill of the soil was next which was very impressive to watch. The soil was made of clay which made it rock hard; but Mike’s crew tore through it and after mixing in the compost, made it very soft. They also leveled the yard, making it practically flat and helped place about 40-50 rock boulders. Finally, a new 4 zone sprinkler system was installed. Along the way, Mike explained the process in great detail. I was around for much of the work, and was able to learn about the importance of compost, tilling of the soil and the proper installation of a sprinkler system. I especially enjoyed the sprinkler system, and with Mike’s thorough explanation, now know the basics of sprinkler systems. Landscapers and contractors in general should take note on how to properly provide services to one’s home. My wife and I are completely happy with the work that Mike and his crew provided and cannot wait for the grass and vegetables to come in. I cannot recommend Mike and his crew more and wish there were more companies like his.
Description of Work: I had about 1,700 sq ft of hard dirt with weekds that I wanted to have a lawn with planters, and another 300 sq. ft. for a vegetable garden. There was also about 40 ft of chainlink fence that needed to be moved, and a 30 ft retaining wall built and back filled. I then opted to install a sprinkler system and planting grass seed rather than install sod.

Member it was a pleasure working for you on this great project. I have to admit it was a challenge, we typically don't have to spend more than a couple of days on a single project and so its rare that we would spend 5 days on a project but this project had some special challenges such as moving the chain link fence and putting in the retaining wall and then moving such a large amount of soil around before getting the area completely where we wanted it before doing the Pick Axing and RotoTilling of the 6 - 8 inches deep soil that we then intended to plant grass in. Once the soil was at the proper level that we intended it becomes just our normal every day Soil Prep, Sprinklers, and Plantings install. Here are some videos that we shot of the project that we sometimes put up on our own channel on YouTube at www.YouTube.com/RotoTillerGuy http://www.youtube.com/rototillerguy#p/c/BAF6373771E9330C/0/LOOsXteDVgk

I called Mike in the morning and he gave me a rough estimate of cost which was based on the square footage. He came with two men who got right to work. the job was finished about four hours later. They were friendly and cleaned up well.
Description of Work: We had around 700 sq ft of the back yard dug up and rototilled.with remaining roots of three large trees taken up. The work included the addition of three inches of healthy looking compost rototilled into the dug up soil.

Not sure why the B on the price. We agreed upon $825.00 for full soil prep of 700 sq ft of area, so no problem there. Then we agreed to charge $60.00 an hour for 3 guys to cut down, dig out the roots, and remove the 3 trees. It took 3 hours to remove 3 trees, so $180.00 for this extra work. One of the three trees was small and I guess she was thinking I charged $60.00 per tree and that I should not have charged as much for the smaller one, but in fact I was just charging by the hour, not by the tree and it just so happened that it took 3 hours to remove 3 trees. Seems like I should have earned and A+ all around, but I can settle on a B I guess. Tough to make eveyone happy I guess.

Around Sept 16, 2009, after meeting 2 other landscape people at my house, getting their artificially high quotes, I returned to craigslist and found Mike's ad. His ad led me to his website, wherein you find that his words are genuine, his pricing straight forward (impossible to find this from his competitors!), and his approach is sensible and water-saving. At his website, using his pricing estimate tool, I plugged in the dimensions of my yard, and selected the work options I wanted, a quote was emailed to me. Then we spoke a bit over the phone, and agreed to have the work done. His pricing was %25 less than the next nearest quote. He came out within 2 days, with a crew, and started to bang out the work. In person, Mike is honest, reliable, and really believes in the compost approach to soil amendment. What will surprise most people, is that Mike is on these projects with his crew, only leaving to pick up the all important compost. He works hard. The project, which was to remove my old grass, bring in compost soil, and lay sod, and install a complete sprinkler system for the front yard, started on a Friday, and Mike and his crew worked straight through the weekend until they finished Monday. The results are excellent. The watering coverage is awesome, and there is virtually no over-spray onto walkways and driveways-something that has always bothered me about my neighbors sprinklers! A few months later, the lawn is super green and lush, and neighbors and passersby alike often make positive comments about our landscaping. I highly recommend the RotoTillerGuy!

Our front yard, including two flower beds, were a disaster. We had initially received a quote from one guy who wanted $5000! That prompted me to check out other options. That is when we found Mike The Roto Tiller Guy. He not only was almost $2000 LESS than the previous bid, he and his wonderful team of workers worked extremely hard. The one thing that impressed me the most was that Mike was there for every minute of the project, overseeing the entire job. These guys were pleasant and courteous and Mike was eager to answer any questions we had and explained the process of what was being done through-out the entire project. I would highly recommend these guys!
Description of Work: Soil prep of front yard which includes, old grass remoaval, pick axing and roto tilling the area. Removal of small tree stump. Disposing of yard remains and tree roots, spreading compost and mixing into the soil. Eliminating old sprinkler system and replacing it with a more accurate and efficient system along with replacing a bad valve and installing a new timer.

Actually there was the Buganvillia that we removed, and about 5 other just hedge type stumps that were there and under ground that needed to be removed and then there were lots and lots of tree roots from a 30 year old Magnolia tree and another younger tree. This alone represented an extra 5 hours of labor for 4 guys, a lot of work when you look at it in terms of 20 extra man hours of labor. Did we complain, heck no, we love doing this type of work for folks. We love doing things right and doing them so that there are lasting long term positive results.

Mr. Mike Georgia, I want to thank you and your excellent crew for doing a great job on my yard in Burbank. It looked good last night when you guys finally left at dusk after cleaning up but, you should have seen my front yard this moring when the sun came up. It is the best looking yard on the block. It's green (duh!) but it's now smooth and it has now been sculpted down to fit with my driveway and sidewalk, just like you said it would be. The back yard is also looking great. Your help with moving my tool shed and other details make my backyard look much more open and usable. My holiday visitors will be very impressed and we will have a great area to eat and play on. Your crew is prompt and friendly and works steady. No lazy guys on in your group. And they keep their eyes open to fix things as they come up and as they all pitched in to clean up and go home after the job was done. They even volunteered to lay a stack of red bricks around my tree, an extra not included in the estimate. I know that you are dedicated to "do it the way I would do it in my own yard", as I heard a few times during the two days you were at my house. I also know that you do it the right way; good quality with correct expenditures. No throwing away money on things that don't help the quality of the job but also not scrimping on details. Spend the money and do it right and then love the results. And I do love the results of Mr. Georgia 'the Rototiller Guy' and his crew. Thanks so much. Ron Burbank, CA
Description of Work: Mike Georgia of the RototillerGuy, and his crew stripped my old lawn front and back and hauled away several cubic yards of weed filled soil to level down my front yard. They took out roots around a tree and hauled in several pickup trucks loads of non-stinky compost. They put in a new sprinklet system and tied it into my existing timers. They laid the sod and cleaned up all around. It was two full days work and the crew was relentless. They only stopped for lunch; any time I looked out to see what was going on, they were working. The new sod looks great and it stays green and nice. A very good job.

Working with Mike was great -- he was extremely professional, attentive and responsive. He and his crew went well and above the call of duty in accommodating some of my extreme perfectionist requests, responding to each with quality and a smile. His focus and tenacity in getting things done -- and done right -- is to be commended.

He is the most honest guy I have ever had work for us and his "team" are just as honest and nice to have around. He can do alot of stuff - handyman stuff - and his fees are reasonable. You pay by the hour - $60.00 an hour I think - and I had him moving potted plants around and doing work on my automatic sprinkler system and clearing out old junk and taking it to the dump and really, there wasn't anything he couldn't do for us. I'm bringing them back to teach me now how to actually upkeep an organic garden. Oh, and he's coming back to build me more above ground planters.
Description of Work: Over 2 years ago, I had taken out our backyard lawn in anticipation of major construction that never happened. What to do with the now big dirt patch was a constant argument between my husband and myself. He wanted a nice, green lawn to look at and I wanted something drought resistant and organic including a vegetable garden. Hence, it sat dirt filled and empty and ugly for a long time. Then I found Mike. He offered a compromise that has worked really well. He delivered a huge truck load of organic compost to really green up the dirt and wake up the existing plants and the new plants and lawn. But before he did this, he and his guys took out an enormous amount of dead roots that had grown from the hillside down into the lawn area. Honestly, we never would have known how much work this was to do and had I given the job to my weekly gardener, he NEVER would have spent the time to do what Mike did. So the compost went in after the roots were removed and then the seeds. Mike repaired a few sprinklers and a broken pipe that got caught up in the root removal and told me what was going on every step of the way.

He checked my entire irrigation system. He updated and upgraded my whole irrigation system. The system's timer malfunctioned (probably due to a power outage during a storm) and he came back out and installed a back-up battery for the timer. He did this at no extra charge to me and paid for the extra battery out of his own pocket. He was on time and very accommodating to my schedule, and was professional.

Everything went as I needed, though not as I originally planned. Mike could have rototilled and gotten paid, instead, he did the right thing and was happy about it. He seems quite competent.
Description of Work: Mike was extremely responsive. I wanted 600 sqft of soil rototilled. When he and his crew arrived, we discussed the job and concluded that it was best for me to go another way than rototilling. Mike provided professional, helpful information, and was gracious about not getting the job. He did not charge me a thing. Mike was great to work with from start to finish. He responded quickly to my emails requesting an estimate. It was so refreshing to have someone answer my emails promptly and professionally. He had helpful information and was very fair with his estimate, and we made all the arrangements quickly for the work. The crew (3 guys, plus Mike) showed up right on time, quickly got to work, and did a fantastic job. The pick-axing alone would have taken me days by myself, and I was thankful to have someone do everything for me, at a great price. After the pick-axing, the first tilling went quickly, and they spread the compost and tilled it in again. For my small garden, the work was completed in less than 3 hours. The price included everything (labor and compost). Mike is very friendly, we had a great conversation while the crew worked. He gave me some additional great advice for possible landscaping ideas and putting in a sprinkler system, which I am seriously considering based on the excellent job they did. I would recommend Mike & his crew very highly.
Description of Work: Mike & his crew pick-axed (broke up) soil, roto-tilled, spread a truckload of compost, and then tilled again in my 350 sq. ft small yard in Venice. They also removed some horrendous juniper hedges.

The member was just great to work for. She did her research on my website before hand and compared me against others, so she already knew what a great deal she was getting. I was at least 20% cheaper, and I was the only landscaper that brings in this much compost to mix into the soil ( a 3 inch layer all around). I do more work, spend more on materials, and am 20% cheaper, isn't that enough reason to use me? As it turned out, this was an incredibly easy project for us. It was only 350sq ft of area, and it was literally 4 blocks away from a larger 2,500sq ft project that we were already working on just up the street from her. We literally had just done all of the pick axing and rototilling for the 2,500sq ft project the day before, and had already delivered 28 cubic yards of the Compost Material. So all we had to do was bring the 3 cubic yards of Compost that had been delivered the day before that we had waiting for her 4 blocks away. We spent maybe 3 hours working on her 350sq ft area, and then went back to work on finishing up the 2,500sq ft project up the street from her. We still needed to spread the 25 cubic feet of compost material and use the Rototiller machine to mix the compost into the soil for this other larger project, and then install a sprinkler system (two valves and 6 pop up freeway sprinklers) and get it all wired up on the timer and programmed. We were able to start and finish her project in the morning (started at 7am and finished by 10am) and then finish the other project by 6pm that same day.

I would like to start off by saying...that for me to be sitting here writing a review on yelp on my day off is statement enough but when it review is an exceedingly positive one...you must know that the job that was done for me was done by a true artist who is passionate about his work. He has actually inspired me to be more passionate of the things that do. He and his crew arrived early and on time and wasted no time and started swinging pick axes. After hours of this backbreaking work that most of people in his line of work would skip. The roto tiller started up and began to mix the already picked earth into a fluffy bed. Then it was off the pick up the organic horse compost. Mike asked me if I would like to go and see for myself where and how he gets this black gold. It was a great field trip...no permission slip required! We then returned with our valuable payload and the workers shoveled it on to the already tilled earth and then much to my surprise rototilled again...mixing everything together. As if this was not enough...this would process was repeated two times. Mike said this would ensure a healthy lawn that would last for generations. Once all that was done. Mike and his crew installed two valves and a sprinkler system with timer. I even went to home depot with him and Mike explained every detail of how the system will work. Then we bought lunch for the boys at the great little BBQ joint Mike knows about. When we returned it was time to finish off the sprinkler system install and lay the sod "Marathon 2"... Which was laid gingerly and trimmed perfectly...HOLY PICTURE PERFECT BACK YARD BAT MAN!!! Seriously...Mike is a God send and a true blue hard worker that cares about what he dose, very rare these days. Ask around and shop prices ask what is included in the other guys services. They can't touch Mike or his work ethic and all he dose to provide you with a healthy gorgeous lawn. On a side note. Mike came back to check up on a sprinkler head for me and the roots had already shot down more than 3 inches. Oh and I totally forgot that when he arrived he brought us a huge assortment of veggies from his garden. I will say this...We are having a house warming party in a couple of weeks and Mike and his best friend Shadow the dog are not only invited but they are coming! I read a previous review that slammed Mike. I can't see how what was written was possible. Mike and his team are kind and very professional.

You know, its just nice to work for nice people. James and his Wife are expecting a new addition into the family soon, and so James is wanting a nice back yard for the baby to be able to play in. We did our usual good job and made some new friends along the way. James actually turns out to work at a restaurant that I and my wife had been wanting to try out, and so James invited us to come on in, so we did. James and his Wife are just incredibly pleasant people and it seems like we have a basis for a real friendship that might last well past the business of doing the yard for them. In doing the yard I informed James that there was unusually good pressure (100 PSI), but that there was unusually bad volume (flow). I informed James that he might have restrictions in the galvinized pipes that was resulting in poor volume of water getting through the pipes to the valves and too the sprinklers. It was all I could do to get two valves to supply enough volume to drive only 8 sprinkler heads per valve and normally I should be able to supply 10 or 12 sprinkler heads per valve and should only need one valve to water his entire lawn area but because of the low volume we had to split up the lawn area into two valves. James took my advice and had the house re-piped by a professional plumber and wow! now we have 100 PSI of pressure (normally only 60 - 80) and unrestricted 3/4" copper pipe allowing a huge volume of flow. Now the sprinklers are shooting into the neighbors back yard (over the fence), into any open windows and into the house. Now we have too much pressure and volume. I came back and replaced the valves with valves that can reduce the flow and control all of this added pressure and unrestricted flow. Another job well done, the way that I would want it done if it were my own house. Another happy customer.

We did a little more than just that. We did a lot of sprinkler repairs as well as diagnose that the pump in the pond needed to be replaced and that there wasn't a proper filter and so we picked up the proper pump and filter and installed that as well as installed some submersible lights that the client had already purchased. We also attempted to install some Malibu lighting, but ran into an issue where the outlet for the transformer was not hooked up, and needed a proper electrician to trace the power for that outlet; but we did confirm that the Malibu lighting system was working and readied it to be plugged in. These folks were great to work for. We were able to quickly diagnose and repair all of these issues and offer the client a great value for our service. We got a lot done in very short order.

This new member was wonderful to work for. She even made breakfast and lunch for me and the guys. We ate together as if we had been long time friends. She was just wonderful to work for, and all of her "Special" requests were all very reasonable (please remove and pot certain plants for re-planting later, please remove the landscape lighting before damaging it, etc.) It just seems that all I have to do is say what I do and then do what I said, be on time, do things the way you would want them done on your own yard, be nice, be tidy, and I am golden. That's all I gotta do to stand out and be better than my competition? Well heck I can do that.

Contacted rototiller guy from an ad on Craigslist. Delivered compost within a couple of hours. Quality of composted horse manure was very high. Very little smell, nice and fluffy mix. He then gave me an estimate on running a waterline up through my terraced backyard. Price was very reasonable and he even suggested I could do it myself easily. Nice, friendly and honest guy.

Yep, customer contacted me and wanted to schedule delivery for a couple of days later, and I suggested that there was no time like the present. I had an opening in my schedule at that moment and so did he, so lets just get it done, and so we did. I really did though appreciate that the client was willing to schedule the delivery, I don't always have openings in my schedule it just worked out that way on that particular day. The Compost is very high quality like he said. He is a fellow gardener and knows what he is talking about. The Compost gets turned every day, and gets watered as its getting turned, and so it breaks down really quickly and very evenly. Its great stuff, and a great value at $100 for 3 Cubic Yards Delivered.

The client called and said he had 500 sq ft, turned out to be 820 sq ft. We first Pick Axed the entire area, and then RotoTilled the entire area, and then brought in 6 cubic yards of compost and spread that around for a 3" layer, and then RotoTilled it again to mix the Compost into the soil. The customer said he had a few sprinklers that were not working, well in fact we had to replace 17 of them out of 28. Three valves had to be replaced because they all leaked or didn't work at all. We then smoothed and graded the soil so it was nice and flat, and then we laid the Sod. This turned out to be a lot of work for such a small project, and yet I communicated with the client and informed him every step of the way and kept the costs down to $1,400.00.

I called Mike on Friday, he was promptly on Saturday afternoon. I got his estimate online at www.rototillerguy.com so I know exactly what to expect. When Mike got here, him and his team quickly got to work. Mike and I went to OSH and picked out the grass seeds. All in all, it was about 4 hours of work and my backyard looks great. Thank you Mike and team.
Description of Work: Mike and his team extracted a fig tree and bush. Roto tilled about 200 sq feet of dirt, added compost and planted grass seeds for me.

This was a tiny job comparatively, but the hardest part was extracting the Fig tree and its roots along with the huge over grown bird of paradise plant and its roots. The customer wanted grass in place of all, except an orange tree. I charged the minimums for my service, but did not charge extra for removing the Fig Tree and the bird of paradise because it was such a small section and I was charging enough for the rototilling and the compost delivery to make up for the difference. This way I make enough money to justify the time, and the customer got a good value from our services. Everyone comes out ahead.

?He and his crew were here promptly at 7:00 a.m. as promised.?They pick-axed our whole backyard and then rototilled it. Then they spread out the compost and re-rototilled it again to a depth of 6", if not more, raked and leveled the ground and then layed the sod.?Mike and his crew worked tirelessly to get the job done right.?Mike is very professional and educated us on how to maintain our new lawn.?We are extremely pleased with how our backyard grass now looks and we cannot say enough about Mike's commitment to the quality of his work and to our satisfaction.
Description of Work: My husband and I decided to have our backyard rototilled before laying down new St. Augustine sod and hired someone to do the rototilling for us. To our disappointment, this so-called landscaper did not rototill deep enough (not even 3") and we were left with soil that was still too compacted for the new sod to take hold. We then hired Mike to come out and redo the rototilling correctly.

This was in fact some of the toughest clay soil we have run across. It was very labor intensive to dig down to the prescribed 6 - 8 inches, but this soil certainly needed the amendments just to break it up and get it to breath and absorb water to feed the grass correctly. It was a challenge, but we are up to the challenge and we don't compromise when it comes to quality and a job well done. I do things the way we know that we would want them done if it were our own yard.

I have lived in my home for over 30yrs and the lawn in my yard has always been very arid and hard to keep it green no matter how much I watered it. So, I heard about Rototillerguy at a restaurant that I go to and decided to use his service. After making an appointment they arrived on time, started the work right away and finished the work in 2 days. I have never seen my yard so green and when I walk on it it's like walking on a soft bed.
Description of Work: They installed new lawns in my front and back yard. First they tilled the ground using a rototiller and mixed the soil with horse manure. Then they covered the yard with sod.

Mike and his crew showed up on time, and got right to work. His guys started immediately to pic axe the dirt and remove the old lawn and weeds, while Mike went to go get the first load of Compost material. The crew started to RotoTill the area by the time Mike showed up with the first load. The guys were a bit tired so as they took it a bit easier and started to unload the Compost, Mike took over with the chore of RotoTillling. Mike kept going back and forth getting the Compost, and his crew kept at the RotoTilling. Once the initial RotoTilling was done, they started to spread around the Compost material, and then they used the RotoTiller again to mix it into the soil. Its amazing how much more pliable the soil became as this Compost got mixed into it. Mike showed me how absorbent this Compost Material was, and explained to me how it is helpful in making the lawn more drought tolerant and will hold the moisture up in the top 6 inches of the soil now that this stuff is mixed into it. And because it is Compost and not just fertilizer, it will continue to break down and fertilize the lawn over a greater length of time. Mike certainly knows his stuff, I was impressed. Any way, they then set about installing the Sprinklers and replaced my old Manual valves with the Automatic Valves so that I could use an Automatic Timer to water the lawn and flower beds. The Sod was scheduled to arrive the next morning, so that was it for day one. They cleaned up, swept up, hosed things off, put the tools that they were finished with back into the truck and left for the day. Day two. Mike and his crew showed up on time again, and basically waited for the Sod to show up from the Sod Farm. Mike tested the sprinkler system again while he was waiting. The Sod showed up, and Mike and the guys went right to work laying the sod. It wasn't but two hours later and they were all done. Boy does it look great, especially when you consider how bad it looked at the start.
Description of Work: 2,000 Square Foot of lawn and flower beds. Ripped out the old dead weed infested lawn, RotoTilled the soil down 6 inches deep (lawn area and Flower beds), brought in 7 big heaping full sized pickup truck loads of wonderfully Composted Horse Manure (thouroughbred stuff I was told), He spread that all around for a 3 inch layer, and then used his Roto Tiller machine to mix it deep into the soil. He then replaced my old and ailling sprinkler system (thus the reason that the old lawn died), replaced the Manual sprinkler valves in exchange for Automatic sprinkler valves, installed and programmed an Automatic sprinker timer. Then after all that was done and tested he layed the sod that I ordered through him, but directly from the Sod Farm itself (he charged me no mark up on the Sod at all), for free as his coupon said. He did not plant the flower beds because I wanted to do that part myself and feel as though I had done at least part of this work, but he did also include this area in the irrigation system and put it on the timer as well. I had gotten lots and lots of quotes, but Mike was by far the cheapest, and the other guys were certainly not going to spend the extra time and effort to RotoTill and mix in this much compost material. Mike did an absolutely wonderful professional job.

This was a good sized project and it really needed the help when we first came. Once we were done it really looked great. The difference between when we first came onsite vs. when we were done was huge. Fun project, and the owner of the house obviously appreciated the work that we did.

The service was great! I went on the website(rototillergut.com) and placed my order. I immediately got a quote and confirmed that I wanted the work done. We spoke on the phone and set a date to do the job. They showed up on time and got right to work. They dug up the yard, went and got the manure, spread it over the garden area, and rototilled it nto the soil.I wrote a check for the amount we had previously agreed upon, we shook hands, smiled and said goodbye.

THE MEMBERS ARE WONDERFUL PEOPLE TO WORK FOR. SHE MADE ME AND MY GUY A SANDWICH WITH FRESH SQUEEZED LEMONADE FOR LUNCH. WE ALL SAT DOWN TOGETHER AS IF WE HAD BEEN FRIENDS FOR EVER, AND HAD A NICE LUNCH. THIS WAS A VERY QUICK AND EASY JOB, WE ARRIVED AT 8AM AND WERE OUT OF THERE BY 1 - 1:30PM. MIXING THIS COMPOST INTO THE SOIL LIKE THIS SHOULD REALLY HAVE THE VEGETABLE GARDEN DOING WELL. I KNOW IT DOES WONDERS IN MY OWN VEGETABLE GARDEN, AND ON MY OWN LAWN.
