Description of Work: Description: Called to have the drain for the heat exchanger on my pool heater replaced. Splash said the manifold needed to be replaced. Also I wanted my sand filter serviced & a new vacum hose. The drain and manifold was replaced several days later & after a few days it was leaking again. DONOT pay them in advance for anything. If using them make sure someone is home as they come and go without notification. Comments: 3/14 called for service. Called again 3/19 for service. Called on 3/20 & was told they needed $800 upfront. Called on 4/2 still no parts. They said that it may be 4/4 or 4/11 before they would be out to do the work. I called on 4/11..they said they should be out 4/15 or 4/16. Received call on 4/17..parts in, will come to fix. I Initially asked to be called prior to them coming out because I wanted someone to be here. He came when we were gone. I found 3 empty bags of sand in the carport , they dumped the old sand in a pile in the backyard. The new vacuum hose was left on the pool deck but it was the wrong size. I noticed that sand was coming out of the return jets into the pool. Had to call back on 4/19, due to sand being dumped in pool. Took 3 calls, finally came out 4/25 and was told the filter was broken and they needed to order another part part to fix filter. Was told the part broke because of age making it brittle. They didn't have the part on hand but said they would have it by 5/2. 5/3 no contact, called 5/6 they said the wrong part was sent, the right part would be on hand by 5/9 and they would come out 5/10 or 5/13. Phoned again on 5/20, they said that they would be out to fix. Finally arrived . Got a bill dated 3/20 for the remainder owed of $415 saying past due. UNREAL...BAD SERVICE!!!!!!

I contacted the company about mid May, 2012 to repair my spa pump. They said they'd be out "Thursday or Friday. They didn't come out when promised, didn't call and let me cool my heels waiting for them. After I called on Friday they said they'd be out on Monday, "first thing". When they hadn't shown by noon, I called and told they were else where but would come by later. They finally showed, extracted the pump and told me my heating unit wasn't up to code and needed a stack to vent properly. I had also discovered that the thermostat on the heater had gone bad and needed to be replaced. We also discovered a crack in one of the spa vents and the vent would have to be replaced. I consented to the work and was told it would take about a week to get the parts. Meantime I had drained the pool to clean an algae bloom caused by the bad thermostat.Called them after a week to see the status of the parts and was told that they hadn't been ordered yet. Seems the owner had a problem with his septic system and was working on that. I sympathised, but had my own deadline. They said they'd be out in a couple of days. Another 5 days went by, I called again. was told the owner wasn't available but his helper would come and replace the spa vent so I could refill the pool completely and run the filter. This man came a few days later and didn't know the schedule for my other repairs. It was a total of about three weeks before the owner came back to install the spa pump and the heater vent and thermostat. Next day I noticed the spa pipe connections were leaking. Called. He came three days later, put in a new coupling and told me to call the office to get charged for the parts. (I didn't) Turned on the water the next day after the glue set and found he hadn't bothered to tighten the connector. I did that myself. Two weeks later the place was rented. Some time later the renter started using the pool/spa and left the spa pump running. That shouldn't have been a problem but the fittings sprung a leak again and about half the water was pumped out of the pool. This time the management company called. It again took about a week before they came and they didn't call ahead, so no one was home. The renter had discovered that the toggle switch to turn on the heater had come off and had wanted "Splash" to repair it while there. Splash was called the next day and said they would come out and repair the switch. That was the last week in July. We're still waiting!!!
Description of Work: I called Splash Pool and Spa out of the phone book because they were local. I needed the spa pump repaired, the heater vented and the thermostat replaced and a spa vent replaced because it was cracked. They never came when scheduled, never, ever called to let me know what was going on, when I might expect them. If I called the office I was told they were always out of town doing some job. I felt that my job, somehow, wasn't important to them. They never apologized for being three weeks late (the excuse was that the owner had to take care of his own septic system first) or all the times they didn't show up as promised. Repairs were shoddy and they had to be called back three times to repair leaks in the part of the system they had "fixed". They never returned to fix a toggle switch. I had to call someone else to repair it. This has to be the most unprofessional outfit I've ever done business with!
