+ -1 moreRick Ward, Award Roofing, did a great job from the initial inspection and bid to the final clean up. The job was completed in a timely and professional manner. I was most impressed with the detail work. My roof had an unattractive glitch as a result of an old addition. Rick and his team created an artful and attractive solution. The roof looks great!
Description of Work: Removed existing roofs and hauled away debris. Tore down existing patio and roof structure and hauled away debris. Prepped roof, installed felt paper, starter strip, pipe collars, heater jacks, eyebrow roof vents, 1 1/2" X 1 1/2" nosing where necessary. Applied GAF lifetime high definition, Class A, Timberline Composition Demensional Shingle to the entire roof including Ridglass high definition to all ridges and hips. Painted all vents in color to match the shingles. Installed 5" lifetime fascia pre-painted gutters and 5 down spouts. Identified problem areas, bad wood, and repaired or replaced as necessary. The work crew left the premises very clean and free of debris daily.

+ -1 moreRick put two men on the job and they did it in an hour, including clean-up and removal of all the debris from the gutters. They removed and replaced all the gutter guards as they went so they could access the debris that had accumulated in the gutters over the last 5 years. As roofers, they were very much at home up on the roof, moving quickly and confidently. (And Award of course carries WC insurance on its people) I estimate it would have taken me an entire day, working from and moving a ladder, to do what they did in an hour. I won't wait five years to have them back again. Worth every penny.

Description of Work: The owner was helpful, informative, thorough. This was an estimate. But we just couldn't justify spending what he was asking for. If money were no object. Then of course we would go with him. As he said he is a local businessman trying to keep locals employed who have a lot of experience. He doesn't believe in cheap labor. The people he employs are regulars who have been with him over 15 years and are accountable. It seems to be a good business and I hope he keeps getting business.

+ -1 moreTheir quote was lower than another company I got a quote from. I spent $7000 on that work. They were on-par with the other company I got a quote from. They were very good. They cleaned up after themselves.

+ -1 moreThe job went okay in the end, but we had a few rough spots. I'm not the easiest person to work with so I would say I was more of the problem than anyone else, at least that's what my wife says. It worked out well enough. They were here when they said they would be.
