Description of Work: It's been 2 years or so since we used these people and everyday we walk into our back yard we curse their name and obviously since I'm now a member of this site will gladly take the opportunity to air my grievances. If you name it, it was done wrong, broke, done incorrectly, died or took way too long with no excuses. I will give them that there were some rain/weather delays mixed in but not 4 months worth. Were told that this would likely take 2 weeks and they ddin't finish/get off the property until Feb 2008. We were doing a re-do of our back yard which isn't huge. The salesman was nice and friendly enough and had a landscape architect come out to draw up plans and everything. Sad thing is that their workers don't know how to read the plans and neither did the salesman. We asked for a redo of sprinklers redo-a small retaining wall on the side of the house and we wanted a BBQ and small deck put in. Well we should've first known when the first week they came out and worked hard tearing up the back yard digging trenches etc. Then the next week, nothing. No one showed for the whole week. Then they came out for a week, then nothing for a week. Maybe someone comes by and see's no one is here then leaves again. I work from home so I know when someone came by or not which was frustrating as I wanted our yard back and them gone. Way too much money was asked for up front which is technically illegal but we caved not knowing better which then became scary. At one point I think we became a storage area for other projects we saw going on in the neighborhood. They'd come buy take something off our site and then not come back. The other jobs we saw around the hood were smaller and less complicated I guess and when we asked about that we were told it was a 'different crew'. So I guess we got screwed with the luck of the draw with the 'good crew' vs the 'they don't know what they're doing crew' The deck is all wrong, our back grass never really took and dies frequently even after they 'enriched' the soil. It's not even what was drawn up. It's sunken. Who has a sunken deck even or just barely over the grass line? They dug a pit then realized they didn't want to do that and didn't fill it back up all the way. Now when it rains we have a pool underneath the deck because of course the drain they put in under the deck doesn't drain properly and of course there's no acess to underneath the deck without dismantling it. Not to mention esthetics, it looks like a ski lodge deck with high back and built in seating that's bar heigth. They didn't even measure to a normal person's height so your feet dangle off it unless you're 6 foot. They never responded to our numerous calls, emails and I started sending certified letters eventually. It was just plain rediculus and a very costly lesson on our part. Ultimately we are so dissatisfied that if we stay in this house we will have to redo it all

The design itself was very innovative. I would definitely hire them again in the future. They are a very professional landscaping company. They are original and they are also very knowledgeable and creative.
Description of Work: They drew some architectural plans for some landscaping changes in my lawn. The property itself is 5000 square feet.

Company performed work and unfortunately I didn't supervise closely. 1. New sprinkler station helped buy layout of sprinkler heads is not adequate. 2. 15% of sod died within 2 weeks. 3. Soil prep for sod was horrible as Bermuda grass is starting to take over (again). 4. Ground cover has not grown at all and 10-15% died because of inadequate soil prep and planting. The ground cover was chosen by his nursery and he blamed us for choosing it. 5. Soil prep (which was the primary reason we did this) was HORRIBLE ... Old/bad soil was not removed, roots and rocks everywhere, he basically sprinkled some compost on top. We spent weeks digging out rocks/roots while planting. Thankfully we opted not to use his "planting services". I called several times to complain and they always had excuses, but NEVER tried to help or resolve.
Description of Work: 1. Re-did front sprinklers and added a station. 2. Installed sod. 3. Removed sod, soil prep. 4. Planted ground cover under trees. 5. Soil prep in all garden areas.
