He was giving me a quote and I found him to be extremely demeaning and rude. He was flabbergasted that I hadn’t ordered cabinets yet. He seemed intolerant of someone who didn’t know the process. I needed guidance. I looked at him after he gave me a disrespectful answer and I told him that it wasn’t going to work out and I showed him the door. I didn’t even make it through the estimate process. To me, it’s a “consumer beware” issue; if they are rude to you during the interview process, it’s not someone you want to use. I don’t know about the quality of his work; it could be fabulous. He could have been having a bad day.
Description of Work: Trend Setters Tile started to give me a quote. I had a plumbing leak and I had already had the demolition. He was going to do a bathroom remodel for me.

Response from Trend Setters Tile
I arrived at the customers home and she explained to me that she needed her bathroom re- done and that she had had a leak. I asked her about the the type of tile and tub she would like to use and the new cabinets that were to be installed. . .she didn't know, she had been out of the residence for 2 months and had not gone to look at tile, cabinets or tubs but told me that she would like to start work the following week. I suggested that she consult with a tile store and/or plumber to help her decided on the look/design she might like and what the cost of materials would be for her design and that I could not provide an estimate if she didn't know what she wanted to do. I also tried to explain that I could make make some suggestions as to what type of tile/liners to use and the type of tubs available, but that I it was not my practice to take customers to various stores to shop for the materials. The customer's comment was that that was the whole reason she would hire me, to design and shop for materials and more or less TELL her what she wanted. Frustrations grew on both sides and after going around in circles with the customer, she asked me to leave. I do not speak down or disrespectfully to any of my customers, I am invited into their homes, where I respectfully listen to their needs, make suggestions and try to be of service.

Brian showed up to re-do our bathroom shower. He worked consistently every day, cleaning up everything, till the job was finished. The bathroom looks great. We were very pleased from start to finish.
Description of Work: We had a shower tub re-done in our bathroom. The tub was taken out and a larger stall shower was tiled with a seat put in, plus sliding shower door. Brian does excellent work. He is clean, prompt, and is a craftsman at his trade. No complaints, will have him do other jobs for us.

Brian was an excellent person to work with. His attention to detail and careful installation, produced a beautiful shower that is completely level despite irregular walls. He used tradition full mud float installation, custom cut the tiles. We initially did a work and payment schedule and Brian was on time every day, worked a full day without fail and updated daily on the progress. He worked with me to determine best solutions to several design/laying issues. He was very careful with handling of the expensive Italian tumbled stone tile. I highly recommend Brian for tile installation work.
Description of Work: Removed existing shower and tile floor; prepped, framed for new walk-in shower enclosure. Worked closely with me on tile design layout. Picked up tumbled travertine tile, delivered it into house, and did full mud framing installation of custom sized shower and installed bathroom floor tile. The price included simple plumbing work associated with the job. It did not include the hot tar mop for the custom sized shower pan. Will return to install wall tile wainscoting after completion of electrical and vanity work at an additional cost.
