This agent listed a property and within 5 minutes of being called when the listing hit the MLS she told my agent that the place was already in Escrow. How is that possible. My agent did some checking and said the listing was taken the day before and it wasn't put on the multiples for at least another 24 hours. When I then called the agent, there was no answer. I got an immediate call and she was very nice when she answered the phone and as soon as I asked her about the property she got extremely nasty and rude. I simply asked her how a property is already in escrow after 5 minutes of it hitting the multiples and she got very defensive. After going around and around with her she stated she already had people she knew who were looking for places so most likely she contacted them, got her offer and then put it on the multiples. In fact the property couldn't be in escrow because it was bank owned which means it would have to go to the bank, an arduous process, for an acceptance by the bank so she was completely not honest. I would never ever work with this agent. She showed exactly how unprofessional she was in her dealings and it seems to me she was looking to make the full commision by bringing her own buyers in and avoiding any other buyers using another realtor. Not illegal but not ethical either.
