Jeff Urie Ceramic Tile

Jeff and I started to work on the envision of my master bathroom in 2021, it took me a year to really get to the point where I was ready to get the bathroom done. From our first meeting to the final sealing of the marble, Jeff was an absolute gentleman. I can be a bit neurotic and Jeff was more than patient with me, my concerns and expectations, I am extremely grateful that Jeff was my contractor for this extremely large project and how beautiful it turned out at the end.

Morgan did a fantastic job. I called Jeff to set up an appointment to have a 20 x 20 porcelain tile replaced. Jeff couldn’t come out he sent his assistant Morgan . Morgan was very meticulous and careful that he didn’t damage the existing tile around the one that needed to be replaced. Morgan was Very professional and personable.

I got some competitive bids and decided to go with Jeff based on a combination of pricing and feedback. He did not disappoint, the job was done with a high level of quality and professionalism. I had a couple of concerns as the job progressed, which is typical of any job, and they were addressed immediately without any pushback. I'm lucky to have found Jeff and look forward to using him again when the opportunity arises.

Initially we used a couple of unlicensed guys whom took our money then did not deliver and showed up inconsistently and at the end we had to demo their work. After multiple estimates we finally found Jeff. Jeff was reasonably priced unlike other remodel companies. He was very professional and when he started project he came or one of his 2 workers came everyday until the job was finished. His tile work is amazing as it is straight and level. His workers are also very nice and are skilled in what they do. He answers phone and responds to texts in a timely manner. I will definitely use Jeff again for my next project.

He is reasonably priced compared to other remodel companies. He is very professional. Him or 2 of his workers whom are also very skilled show up everyday once the project is started. They are always punctual. His tile work is amazing as it is straight and level. He responds to calls, emails and texts in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend and use Jeff for my next project.

The job went great. Work was done on time and price. Jeff and his crew were very polite and courteous. They helped us move furniture and cleaned up at the end of each day. We purchased the tile locally and Jeff picked it up and brought it to the house as needed. We were the general on all the work and Jeff provided recommendations for other contractors when needed. Based on Jeff's work at our house, our neighbors hired Jeff to do their flooring, base molding and kitchen back splash.

Jeff was professional and spent time with me to discuss tile and design options. He was great about communicating with me about timelines. He did a beautiful job and I couldn't be happier with how the backsplash turned out. I would use Jeff again and/or recommend him to friends.

Jeff did a beautiful job with our large format tile and mosaic accent tiles. He was easy to work with and was flexible about changes we wanted - a bigger niche and tile extending behind the toilet in same bathroom. Day one Jeff and his assistant did the demo - he brought in a dumpster for the day. Then I brought in the plumber. When the plumber was done, Jeff scheduled the "hot mop" waterproofing contractor - this was part of his fee. Then Jeff finished the walls (2 separate days) , let that dry, then tiled. The process took about a month overall, between availability of the different contractors, Jeff's schedule, and a delay with an additional mosaic tile order. Jeff and his assistant cleaned up well every day, and tried to keep the dust to a minimum. After he finished, he installed our toilet that had to be removed for the tile work. The only issue we had was the hot mopper was a bit messy and left our side gate open when he left ( a safety issue , as we have a pool). Jeff also recommended a shower door company and extended his discount to our door order.

Very well ! Excellent job . Very detail oriented ! And neat ! Cost was as quoted with no surprise . Got the job done in the time frame quoted .

Jeff was great. I was my own contractor and he helped me out a lot with coordinating and advice. He was super responsive and very helpful. He did a great job with our Travertine tile and his price was reasonable. My bathroom looks great.

Jeff was always responsive, professional, and patient. Any text or phone call I made received a response within minutes. The work was completed as promised and on time. Jeff went above and beyond to coordinate with other professionals to make the whole process easy and seamless. I would definitely hire him again!

I talked to several general contractors about renovating two bathrooms and they all came back with quotes way exceeding my budget. I then reached out to Jeff and I'm so glad I made that decision to go with him. Not only was his quote was much more reasonable, he also went above and beyond to help me out with things that were outside of his job description. He was patient, kind, always willing to help and simply wonderful to work with. Jeff took care of the bulk of the work (tiles, vanity, simple plumbing etc) and did a great job coordinating with others that he's worked with to do the rest (major plumbing, electrical & shower door installation). I've had a similar project done by other contractors before and I can tell the tile work Jeff and his assistant Caesar did was much more exquisite. I doubt I'd get this kind of quality tile work from a general contractor. I'd highly recommend Jeff to anyone looking to do bathroom remodeling or any type of tile work. I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again.

I provided a high level of detail and photos of the subject property in addition to having a detailed conversation about the timeline requirements for the project. At Jeff's request I even provided him with written information about the measurements. Jeff said he had time for the job up front or I would not have pursued the matter. This I made sure of before asking him to do his site visit. Personally, I think he was spooked by the stories of two previous tile contractors who failed to perform including one who cut a floor joist and then lied about it leading to costly repairs. Jeff said he would provide a written proposal commensurate with our verbally agreed upon price. When a day had passed and I had not received the proposal, I sent a message inquiring when said proposal would arrive. He responded promptly that he no longer felt he had the time to properly handle his existing commitments and my new project. This is what is commonly known as reneging on a deal, Jeff. Jeff wasted no less than two hours of my time when including the meeting and my driving time to go to the subject property. Interesting that Jeff's response to another unhappy consumer was that Jeff had spent some of his own time. I believe the quote by Jeff was "time is time." You can look up this review by searching for an F rating here. Interesting that Jeff values his own time but there seems to be a disconnect when it comes to his respecting others' time. Jeff knew full well what the job entailed and was briefed in detail as to its status. There could have been no misunderstanding for any reasonably intelligent individual. Perhaps Jeff felt my expectations on the quality of workmanship were overbearing. Consider that this is the city of Westlake Village and substandard work is unacceptable if one is to maximize the value of the improvements. I suspect that there will be some response to this review. Surely any defense will be either a fabrication of the facts or some other untenable position.

I can't tell you enough nice things about Jeff. He is a Master at his trade. Great designer which we needed as our BBQ island has a lot of curves. He shows up on time. Cleans up each day. We are thrilled with our BBQ and I just want to say you can't go wrong using Jeff Urie Ceramic Tile. He's just a all around good guy.

Jeff and his team did an amazing job. Jeff is professional, knows his stuff, and does quality work. There was only one day that he was not here. His employee, Cesar, came that day and his work was excellent as well. They cleaned up each day, and took great care to ensure that our flooring and carpet were protected during their many trips up and down the stairs. We had a situation with the tile (not his fault). He fixed the problem, and went above and beyond to ensure that we were satisfied with the end result, which we definitely were. Feel fortunate to have found him and look forward to working with him again.

We initially needed a bathroom to be remodeled, but he did such a great job that we asked him to tile a few other projects. He always took care of whatever we needed. He was personable, and his assistant Cesar, was great too. He was a wonderful contractor and he has great people working for him.

This was a complete remodel of two bathrooms. Jeff did a great job and I will be using him again soon. Jeff was very helpful with the tile store. I actually ordered the wrong trim and Jeff met me at the store twice to sort it out. He also picked up the stone and made several trips. Jeff and his crew were very good. I highly recommend!

Excellent! Jeff and his crew were professional and prompt and finished the job in 2 days. They did and outstanding job and cleaned up everything completely when finished. I will definitely use them again and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Unfortunately even in this day and age there is no accountability for a subcontractor like jeff who schedules an appointment only to cancel it a hour before the designated time. He reschedules the appointment for Saturday then shows up 45 minutes late without so much as an apology. If that isn't bad enough he promises an estimate the following Wednesday. Wednesday comes and goes without so much as a text from him. When I finally got in touch with him on Friday he tells me he is too busy to do my job even though I never put a time line on it. I guess Jeff must think my time just isn't as valuable as his. Even thought it gives me no satisfaction my only recourse is to give him what he deserves, a bad review. This is not acceptable behavior and is completely unprofessional. I don't care how good he may or may not be a setting tile we need to stop using guys like Jeff Uire who has a complete disregard for clients.
