Description of Work: "Thinking that window treatment would put a real dent in our bank account, this company installed wood shutters, ( not vinyl), even in our 3 bathrooms. After making choices of what we wanted, ( color, dual shutters, ( top/bottom), blackout shutters, even wood shutters inside showers, we were given a turn around time of 1 week. You might think, so what, but we have approximately 40 windows in our home, with a door upstairs going out to a patio, which they placed shutters on that door, ( cut around the door handle) pretty impressive. In 1 week, approximately 6-7 employees of that company arrived. Totally impressed how they worked as if they had been doing it for years. They all had a specific assignment, and in guessing maybe 3 hours they covered 36 Windows, ( 4 windows were done in Roman shades ). Not only were they finished, but it was done perfectly."

Never got my money or my blinds.
Description of Work: gave an estimate for shutters for one window for $1000. Took my $500 deposit and disappeared. I took him to court and won the judgement. He paid me back about 8 months later $100 a month for 3 months then basically never answered my requests for payment again. He is a scam and I wish I would have done more research online before I hired him. He has multiple negative comments online and he is thief. His name is Greg Davis, so please stay away from him and his business. He has changed the name often to avoid people finding him. he is a LIAR too

Discount Shutters was hired May 7th to install Plantation shutters on 4 windows and a deposit of $650 was paid with the assurance that the shutters will be delivered in 4 weeks . After 4 weeks I put several calls out to the company without success. The company never returned my call until I now reported the situation to the BBB and Angie's list/ Mr Greg Davis, the company owner or contact person then called back to say the product will be delivered the next week and kept postponing and sometimes the days will pass and no update from him. I was pleasantly surprised when he called last week to say he will come on July 21st approximately 7 weeks after the scheduled delivery date to install the shutters and they were really installed and I paid the remaining $650. Happy that the ordeal is over and I will never use or recommend the company due to their unreliability. The internet and even BBB show reports of similar experiences with other customers. Response from Discount Shutters and Blinds
The shutters are due to arrive to our warehouse next week (week of the 25th). We will call the customer at that time and schedule the installation of the shutters. I find this ridiculous that on the exact day of the 4 week "Est. Delivery Date" shown on the order form, that this customer filed a complaint with Angie's List as well as the BBB without even calling our company. I have left them a message letting them know that these shutters are running late and will be done soon. I have been in business for over 25 years and have never had a customer complain to (at least) 2 agencies on the Estimated due date!
