Made appointment for an estimate and Michael Aronson arrived promptly to measure and review plans. Estimate was received promptly. First complaint is that estimate was formatted in a somewhat misleading manner. We looked at the bottom line (shame on us) and signed the approval. The fine print said that the bid was in fact $431 higher if "installed into buried channel", which we had specified at the time of the estimate. Knowing that it was our own fault for not reading carefully, we decided to live with the price. The workmanship, fit, finish, etc. is excellent. The fabricators and installers are careful, precise and professional. However, communications with this company proved to be the ringer. Calls to Aronson were repeatedly not returned. Appointment scheduling was haphazard, at best. Workmen showed up on days they were not scheduled, were repeatedly as much as 5 hours late for appointments (and no one from the office ever initiated a call to alert us to a delay), and so on, and so on. Even when firm appointments had been made, if the dispatcher (Rosie) was unable to reach us to confirm quickly enough, she would cancel or reschedule the appointment. (Although it hardly mattered, since they rarely showed up on time!) This is a shame, because, all though this company does very good work, the apparent chaos in their offices makes them much too frustrating to deal with.
