+ -1 moreI called to find out if they would do a window replacement and they told me yes. I scheduled to have them measure the window. they didn't follow up with me about the price. I had to call the office a week later and they gave me the information and booked the appointment to install the window. they scheduled at a convenient time and showed up on time. the workers were all very friendly and efficient. he had the window replaced in just a few minutes and cleaned it too. The only thing is you have to leave a credit card for the full amount when you ok the work and schedule the installation appointment. the company is local and family owned and very friendly. I am happy to support our local community and will definitely use Community Glass again.

+ -1 moreDan arrived on time, and spent some time helping us decide on the best type of enclosure for walk in shower. Very knowledgeable and professional. Recieved his quote via E mail the next day. Got 2 other quotes from Angie's list, and Community's was $200-500 less than the other quotes.The installers arrived on appointed date, and installed glass in the shower and bath efficiently and without problems. I would definitely use again.
Description of Work: Installed Frameless Shower door with swing panel, 42' x 78" ($965) in new master bath, and bi pass sliding tub enclosure, 60" x 58" ($556) in existing bath. Applield diamond seal to prevent calcium build up. Brushed nickel hardware for both installations.

+ -1 moreDan was on time for all three appointments (initial quote, final measurement, and installation). If you're looking for sliding shower doors, they are one of the few that can get 5/16" thick. It may not seem much thicker than 1/4", but that extra 16th makes a ton of difference in the weight and feel of the door, and the price is about the same. I'm in the process of getting another shower panel and door from him. Prices are competitive from other quotes I've gotten in the area.

+ 0 moreOur experience with this company was excellent. Some of the best customer service I have ever received. Dan arrived to take rough measurements of the existing windows and we had a quote with-in a day or two. It took about 2 weeks for Milgard to fabricate the windows. Then the installers were here just two days later. It didn't take them any time at all. The two installers were very professional, and considerate. The windows were in before they went to lunch. The rest of the day was spent putting on the indoor trim pieces, and double sealing around the windows inside and out. They definitely do a quality job, and aim to please. The new windows have dramatically reduced street/traffic noise, and I can no longer hear the children screaming at the school across the street from me. They've also helped a lot with keeping the heat out and the cool in.

+ -1 moreOverall is went very well. Their price was less than what we paid for same table top 5 years ago. I had to bring in sample of corner so they could shape corners correctly. They said it would take a couple days, but I told them I was in no hurry, and it took maybe 4 days which was fine with me. They let us throw out our old broken table cover in their dumpster, which helped us out. We picked up the glass in our minivan. It was clean and unscratched.
Description of Work: I needed new glass to cover a wooden table.

+ -1 moreThis was not an easy job due to the large size of some of the panes (one was 12 feet long), the difficult access (they are just under the roof line of the house), the irregularities of the old house's walls, the need to change the way that they were placed and supported, etc. Dan and his talented crew did an incredible job without any mishaps (amazing by itself!), and even washed the windows and cleaned up after themselves. They also replaced an additional bathroom window at no extra cost and offered to do some caulking in an inaccessible area while the panes were out. We are very, very pleased with the job and highly recommend Community Glass.
Description of Work: We called for an estimate to replace 15 upper frameless windows in our Thousand Oaks home. The house was built in 1958, and the upper windows were 1/8" single pane non-tempered glass, and we wanted to replace them with dual pane tempered panels for safety, for better temperature maintenance, and for sound proofing (we live near a freeway). The owner, Dan came out to measure for the estimate and was very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. He explained that in order to accomplish our goals that dual pane, tempered, 1/4" x 3/16" glass would be best for sound proofing, as different thicknesses of glass offer different ranges of sound proofing and two different thicknesses would give us a wider range of sound protection. The other companies that came to bid our job did not explain this or offer this as an option. He also thought through the entire job, as it also required figuring out how to place and hold the glass; the original glass was very thin and the new glass was much thicker (about 1" with the space in between panes) and he would have to figure out how to frame them in a new way. Dan gave us an excellent price and because of this in addition to his obvious experience and knowledge, we hired him to do the job.

Description of Work: Estimate went well. I wanted to use existing shower door glass and replace the 1980's style gold frames. They happen to have the frame kit for that make in satin nickel. Otherwise, I would have had to spend much more for complete shower doors.
