The initial framing went well. We went with Shawn to select the windows. Once selected he was to get bids from 3 different vendors. When we finally got the bids the window sizes did not match on any of the bids. We never did get correct bids. When the roof nailing passed inspection (after 3 inspections) we were ready for shingles. There always seemed to be some delay in getting the roofer here. This was in Dec 2010 when we were having a lot of rain. The water came thru the plywood joints and we had standing water on the addition plywood flooring. Shawn said not to worry about it that it would all dry out. It did dry out and there was mold on the walls and ceiling. A mold remediation company sent out a representative who stated it would need to be cleaned. This seemed to be quite a process so it was decided to replace all the plywood - walls and ceiling. The roofer finally did get here and did a good job. Shawn was fired. We ordered windows on our own as nothing was happening with Shawn. We hired someone else to complete the job. Overall a very frustrating and unsatisfactory experience.

They were to remodel 2 bathrooms, installing new flooring, remodel three kids bedrooms, painting, etc., all that goes into a remodel. The contractor I dealt with was Shawn Makris, who was representing himself as a general contractor working under the license held by CM Anderson construction. None of our deadlines were met, I was told 2-3 months and it took 6-8, we were asked for upfront money, then additional payments that were not part of the contract. We asked for an accounting of funds, and have not received any. The wrong fixtures were ordered and we was asked to pay for the mistake. We were 'held hostage' for payments that we did not owe. The shower leaks, and the bookcase shelving peg holders are crooked. If we want the bookcases correctly, we'll have to hire someone else. Ditto with some of the other work.
