Description of Work: We called Rick because we lost power in several outlets. We had checked all breakers but they were fine. We called Rick and he suggested that it might be as simple as a GFI reset. That was indeed the case. Rick provided his expertise without charge over the phone. If we ever need an electrician in the future, we will be calling Rick.

+ -1 moreRick's estimate was very fair and competitive. He and his crew arrived on time and did neat, quick work. He returned the next day to troubleshoot a flicker problem and solved it by replacing all the canisters in the kitchen. He is very easy to work with and has wonderful referrals for painting and popcorn ceiling removal. We were very pleased with Rick's work and would definitely have him come back when we do phase two in our home.
Description of Work: Installation of recessed lighting with dimmers in four rooms and hardwiring two wall sconces.

+ -1 moreRick showed up on time, and was very polite and professional. I had an issue with the garbage disposal, which turned out to be a bad switch. Rick re-wired the switch and installed new outlets both in the kitchen and, at my request, another one in the bathroom. Simply put, Rick was fair and did a good job. I would use him again.

+ 0 moreRick showed up five minutes early. He was very nice and professional. Rick worked on everything that needed to be addressed. Rick was quick, efficient and was very reasonable with pricing. I was scared it was going to cost more than it did. I didn't have the outdoor lights on hand that were needed so I will diffidently be calling Rick to back out to install the two lights.
Description of Work: I had Rick come out and address a list of issues I had with lights not working, replaced a ceiling fan, an outlet that sparked, etc.

+ -1 more"Do you take credit cards or should I write you a check?" I asked Barger when he was done. "I didn't do enough work to charge you anything," he said. "Forget it." I had to convince him to charge me $20. Next time I have an electrical problem without question I will call Barger Electric.
Description of Work: After putting fresh batteries in my smoke alarms yesterday they kept me awake all night chirping every few minutes, driving me crazy. This morning I called Barger Electric. Rick Barger arrived promptly at my door before noon. clean-cut and friendly. The batteries and the circuits on the smoke detectors both tested normal. It took some minor tweaking for Rick to restore the connections and in a matter of minutes the chirping was gone.

Description of Work: I hired Rick based on a recommendation from a friend of mine. I had an extensive master bath remodel, a bedroom retrofit and a living-dining room pod lighting done by Rick. He installed several pod lights, rewired switches, installed a ceiling fan in a ceiling that needed an electrical connection. His prices were always competitive and his work exceptional! Not only does he do the work professionally, he makes sure that everything being done is precise and is flexible to any changes along the way. If something doesn't quite work, he makes sure to correct it in good time. He is always on time. Is neat (you wouldn't know he was there), and courteous. My only complaint is that he has become so popular! He is in high demand

+ -1 moreOur old TV cables could not process the demands placed on it by our new HGTVs and internet useage. We needed to upgrade 3 rooms with RG6 coax cable. We were having Direct TV installed and needed new cables so that the new system would work as designed. Rick came in with an assistant and rewired the house in an hour and a half. When the Direct TV installer came the next day I asked him how Rick did with the rewiring. The Direct TV installer said Rick did an excellent job. We were very happy with the price and continue to be thrilled with the work Rick does. He is our Go-To Electrician.

We installed a linear fireplace and had to reroute existing electrical outlets, switches and pot lights. He also installed an outlet in the ceiling for our new pendant light. The City inspector came out and signed off on all of Rick's work. My wife and I were extremely impressed with Rick and will definitely use him again.

+ 0 moreEverything went really well. The owner, Rick, followed up before coming out. He even arrived a little before the scheduled time. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He put plastic down everywhere, and kept the floors clean. He was fast, courteous, and professional. And considering all the work that was done, his price was quite reasonable.
Description of Work: Installed 4 recessed lights with smooth trims. Dropped down wall to add switch leg. Replaced can in bathroom to match other light. Installed dimmer switch in office. Installed lighted switch in garage.
