Needed an estimate of cost replacement for a roof on our home and the young man that came out was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and gave me the information that I needed to make an informed decision. We contacted Straightline Construction to replace our house’s skylight that had a large crack in it (previously plastic). Phil, the Project Manager, was extremely professional and measured our skylight for replacement. He provided us with multiple options, from a standard glass replacement to skylights with shades (manual or solar). We decided on the skylight with a solar shade. Straightline made the process extremely easy. We absolutely loved how it turned out, very high quality. The two person installation team did a great job and even installed the remote to open and close the shade in our kitchen. While installing the skylight they also sealed exposed nails and painted and resealed flashings. I highly recommend Straightline for your roofing needs. (I forgot to take before pictures of the inside of the old skylight. You could hardly see out of it and there was a large crack. Now we see clearly out of it.)

The whole process went very well. From the detailed estimate with many itemized options, to efficient scheduling and finishing on time and high quality work. Every day they left the surroundings clean and neat, and the final cleanup was done quickly. They are also readily available for questions and follow-up through texting/phone during the project. We are extremely pleased with the final result!

The crew was efficient, respectful and thorough. They think about the customer first. They are checking in every day of the project to ask about how everything went and about questions or concerns. They did an AMAZING job replacing the shingles and sheeting on my roof. Spectacular experience. The owner, Jack, comes by and inspects his employees work as well introducing himself and making sure it was satisfactory. I see why this company has so many great reviews. If I could give 10 stars I would.

They tore off my existing cedar shake tiles and installed concrete tiles a few years ago. I received call in the fall from them asking if they could clean our gutters for free to keep their crew busy over the holidays. What, you want to clean my gutters for free?? It was true, they showed up on time and not only cleaned my gutters but also cleaned the valleys on my roof of leaves and debris. What company provides that level of service to former and future customers? It's a very well run company that focuses on customer satisfaction. Thank you Straightline!

extremely satisfied with the entire process. there were a few minor issues that were corrected almost before i noticed them, i would hire them again without any reservations! both the office staff and the construction personnel were polite, helpful and competent. excellent company!!!!

The highest quality. Very well. They follow up. They inspected everything. Very meticulous. They always call before they come out. Very polite. They are all gentlemen. The workers are polite. Very thoughtful and respectful. The foreman always come out to follow up. So prompt and so caring.

Straight-line did was amazing from quote to finish of project. They were constantly in communication with us regarding our project. Enjoyed working with Shawn to get the project started. All of the different work crews were very friendly and professional. My new roof and gutters look amazing. They also left no mess behind. You can tell they care about their clients. I would not hesitate to hire them for future projects.

Just had Straight Line re-roof our house. Very happy with their work. We had to wait over the winter,but it was worth it. Communication with them was also very good.

We got the estimate and gave the go ahead easily but then we didn't hear from them for about 2 months. I reached out to them to find out the status and they had just emailed me to let me know that the skylight had arrived and they were ready to install, We set a date. When the guys arrived to install, they stayed for about 30 minutes and left without saying a word to my husband; they returned and finished working. They left without saying a word to my husband to let him know they had completed the job and without picking up the payment. WOW, talk about unprofessional. I had to call and talk to the project manager to find out if they were done or not. They also didn't do any fixing of the sheetrock which we thought they would do given the cost but was told later that they don't do that. I had to call to inform them that their workers didn't pick up the payment so i had to mail it to them.

I hired Straight Line to install a new roof on my home, and with a job of this magnitude and importance, I didn't want to go with anyone other than the best, and I trusted the reviews I'd read about Straight Line. I'm pleased to report that it's all true. The Straight Line team performed professionally and honestly, and I'm thrilled with the outcome of the project. I had a new roof and sun tunnels installed. They were quick to answer any questions and were also up front if something didn't go as planned. I had total confidence in the Straight Line team throughout the entire process!

Straight Line was very professional to work with. There was great communication, both before and during the job. I got a call from the job supervisor each afternoon, explaining the progress on the project, and the anticipated work the next day. (I was out of town when the project was able to be done.) I got a follow up call, after the job, from the owner, Jack.

Made the whole process easy. Office staff keeps you informed. All the crews were respectful, hard working and experienced. The foreman did a thorough inspection and the one small glitch was hide right the next day.

Great company...prompt and good service! Didn't realize they were located in shingle springs but they drove all the way down to east sacramento to give me a quote on installing some roof vents after getting insulation replaced. Very courteous crew both on site and on the phone. The crew on site didn't leave a mess and the office was easy to communicate with. I would recommend this company to anyone.

The crew was very punctual and friendly. The office and the foreman called to remind me of appointment, tell me the time of arrival, and checked at the end of each day to make sure I was happy and see if I had questions. They cleaned up every scrap of material each day and left the place pristine. I would recommend them to a friend. They also did some dry rot repair and installed new gutters.

They have a policy that they won't inspect a roof until close of escrow (which I've never heard before)

From the beginning of the bidding process to the completion of the job, Striaght Line Roofing ,, while not the least expensive, did deliver on quality of work. Robert gave a thorough roof inspection, then completed a detailed Bid after hearing our plans for our remodel then outlined our material and other options. After an unusually wet winter, they set us up for our job on the first dry days. They kept us updated during our weather wait and were there on the dates and times they promised. We had other bids from other large roofing companies in our area, that were all very close in price, but their bids were , very cursory, open ended, vague and wanted to add things that were not really compatible with our roof type. Robert had spent an hour and a half to two hours on the roof, making sure his bid for repairs and replacements was as accurate as possible and he was spot on. The other roofers spent about twenty minutes on the roof and then emailed their bids with no explanation. Before Robert left he spent about an hour with us explaining the repairs, materials and warranty options and had it all in writing for us at that time. We can't say enough about the thoroughness of his presentation and making sure that we understood everything before he left. Michelle was out project manager and was really good at keeping us updated and was always available to answer questions. Each of the crews, (tear off, gutter install and roof installers) had a supervisor on site and were all very professional. They cleaned up after each days work. I can't recommend them more highly.

The representative who gave us our estimate was very comprehensive. He took my husband up on a ladder so he could explain to my husband exactly what needed to be done. Since we have a flat roof, we didn't know what to expect. The representative took the time to explain the process and showed us examples of the materials that they would be using. Since it was in the height of the rainy season, it did take a while to get our appointment. However, the construction crew was friendly and courteous. They completed the job in one day and did a great clean up. The only complaint that I have is that I am finding nails in the yard. But I guess that can't be helped. I would recommend Straight Line construction to anyone who needs a new roof. I am so thankful that I don't have to worry about leaks anymore!

The house looks fantastic!!! I had no idea it would look so good when completed. All my neighbors have complemented the look. I am extremely pleased with the recommended "SmartSide" siding. 1) The workers were clean, well mannered, and very professional. I have a wife and three daughters who were not looking forward to a bunch of construction workers being around the house. I could not have asked for a better work crew! This peace of mind while I was at work was worth the extra price. 2) The workers paid close attention to keep my property looking good at all times. They always cleaned up at the end of the day. 3) The quality of work was clearly above average. They paid close attention to details and did not hesitate to address all of my concerns- I had many as the job progressed, but they always took the time to explain and/or understand my needs without making me feel looked down upon. The final permitting went so smooth. I think the inspectors new this was top notch work. 4) The pre-painted siding is fantastic! I'm so glad I chose to go this rout. I believe the quality is much better than anything I would have gotten by painting the house when they were finished. 5) The sales rep. Shawn stayed with me through the whole job and stepped in whenever I had extra questions. This really upped my comfort level to know they had my back from start to finish. - I highly recommend this company! The price is a little more than the competition but the quality, service and professionalism make it worth every penny! Great work! Great people! Thank you Straight Line Construction!

My wife and I needed to replace our old shake roof, get new attic insulation, fix dry rot and install new gutters/downspouts. We went through the bidding process with about 4 companies and decided to go with Straight Line due to the amount of care and detail our salesman, Rob explained. At the quote process, Straight Line seemed to provide the best service and most accurate detail of the work that needed to be completed. Day 1 of tear down and clean up went great, the crew was very clean and tidy with our property and made sure to pick up all loose debris, tacks and nails as promised. On day 2, the team sheeted the entire roof with radiant barrier plywood (so we thought) and blew in insulation (almost everywhere). When the day was complete, I noticed the crew installed different sheeting in certain areas of the roof as quoted and did not hook up any of our bathroom vents to the roof. The crew also missed spots in the attic for insulation and the left nails and screws around our property and blew nails/screws into our pool when we “cleaning up.” I noticed this and called Rob who made sure this would be fixed and addressed on their next visit. The crew had made some considerable mistakes but my wife and I were assured by the Straight Line team these issues would be fixed as promised. On day 3, the crew came out to replace the regular plywood with radiant barrier plywood in the spots they failed to install. They also came to inspect the attic insulation, blow the spots they had missed and hook up the bathroom vents…At the end of this day these issues were fixed but we were still disappointed because the crew had not cleaned up their trash, nails and tacks as promised. Once again, we had to call our salesman and discuss lack of cleanliness and detail of work, that we were initially quoted. On day 4, the crew came out to install the gutters and start laying the actual composite roof. The work was solid for day 4 and 5 . The crew advised they would need to come back to fix or replace a few of the gutters they could not get to mount properly. This was back on March 1st and thankfully after a few reminders, the crew just finished today, March 31st. It was a long process to get everything completed the way we were quoted and expected, but the work is finally done. My wife and I really had to keep up with the crew to ensure the work we requested was actually completed. We are very happy with the final product of our roof, gutters and downspouts; but not sure if we would use Straight Line in the future for our projects. When spending over 30k on a big project, you expect the crew to be meticulous and detail oriented; the customers should not have to keep reminding the crew to follow through with their commitments on specific work orders.
