Fantastic! Kevin is a real pro! He knew exactly how to hang the grass cloth paper that I had bought. He was a pleasure to have in my home, very tidy & personable.

He had tables which he set up in next room to the master bath. He had given an estimate and told us how much paper to order. The amount was just right. We had pulled off the old paper and did some damage to the wallboard. he told us how to fix it and gave us a price to fix it himself. When he came to do the work he said we did a good job so he wouldn't need to do any extra work.

He was prompt. He was knowledgeable, and he gave me a good quote.

Happy with the results and we continue to work with Kevin on other projects in the hotel and have referred other work to them. We were lucky that he was able to squeeze our small jobs in between their other larger jobs. Try to give as much advance notice of work as possible and be prepared to have them start work earlier than expected if their schedule changes up with another job.

Kevin's work was amazing. I had previously purchased 1 roll of expensive paper for a closet, and he made it work even though there really wasn't enough for the job. He was extremely professional and a meticulous craftsman - the job is perfect. I plan on using him again and highly recommend him to others.

Kevin was terrific to work with: very responsive, called and showed up exactly when he said he would. High quality work. when the opportunity to buy my wallpaper on sale presented itself before he'd been out to measure, he even helped me calculate the amount of wallpaper to order over the phone. I did the measurements and together we figured it out. Great quality of work ... really good guy. Highly recommended.

I got three estimates for my wallpaper project, all reasonable and close in price. I chose Kevin because he seemed to be the most professional and very knowledgeable. Kevin came to my home and estimated the job a few months ago, and also confirmed the amount of wallpaper to order. He works all over northern CA but scheduling was not a problem. Because I had some delays on my end we were in touch by phone over several months, and he always returned my calls promptly. Went right to work on scheduled day, three days, was always prompt, pleasant and did an excellent job. I was at home in case there were questions/problems. Wallpaper in master bath was difficult to remove but he did an excellent job. Very satisfied with his work and he is pleasant to be around. Would recommend highly.

I found Kevin Madsen's name on Angie's List. I called to schedule a meeting time to measure and quote and my call was promptly returned. We chose Kevin to do this job because of his 30+ years experience as a paperhanger. The papers we used needed smooth walls. Kevin used several very thin coats of the smoothing compound which minimized the sanding he had to do, and that greatly limited the amount of dust in the house. The walls were perfectly smooth and the papers look fabulous! Kevin is highly skilled in matching the paper pattern/repeats and the seams are flawless. He covered the outlet plates in perfect pattern. The work area was always left clean and orderly at the end of the day and the project was completed right on schedule. I highly recommend Madsen Paperhanging for any wallpaper job. Kevin is friendly, professional and highly talented and skilled in his business. I will use Kevin again as he made this an enjoyable project.

The paper was very difficult to work with and required a lot of effort by the paperhanger. The room took two days to complete (9-6 each day). The edges were not sticking well and the paperhanger had to try different ways to get seams to match and stay down. His persistence paid off and he was able to accomplish the job. The embossing on the paper required him to smooth the paper using his hands (a squeegee could not be used). He was very pleasant to work with and had a real eye for detail that made this difficult project turn out very well.
