Description of Work: I needed an HVAC system replacement (AC and Furnace) and fabrication of a new ductwork system into a portion of the house that always had too little airflow. I had lived with this for a long time because I knew it would be difficult to retrofit ducting to this new location. Don was the only contractor to recommend a split system with separate temperature control into the the difficult area - the Family Room above he garage. I had three estimates and chose Cassell because he had decades of experience, was a local guy, and most importantly, he did the work himself (along with his Nephew) - no subbing out to others I knew nothing about. His price was competitive. The job was not easy and took longer than expected, but Don stepped me through every stage explaining the little surprises we ran into with the previous installation and made the new install a quality job done correctly. The new ductwork is made of sheet metal (since it was exposed in the garage) which is rare to see in a residential application. This guy knows his business and I highly recommend him. The system works great!

The air conditioning system died in the midst of a +100 degree hot spell, and he responded within hours of our call to evaluate and do a temporary repair to get the system running that same day. He quoted us a fair price for complete replacement of the system and was out two days later to do the installation. The installation was completed in one day, including thorough clean-up of all of the work areas. We were impressed by the attention to detail in the installation work, as well as his communication with us and follow-through on the final inspection by the city. Everything went smoothly and the new system works perfectly. We give Cassel our highest recommendation!

Description of Work: Cassell has been our regular heating and A/C service provider for several years, starting when our previous provider told us it would be two weeks before they could fix our broken A/C and Cassell came out that evening and fixed it. Their service has never diminished from that first encounter. In 2010 they replaced our whole system and have stood behind it when mechanical failures occurred on a defective part.

Don Cassel is a straight shooter, he explained the age of my system, how it loses efficiency over time, how the ducts deteriorate. He is an honest man that does honest professional work at a fair price.
Description of Work: Replace old electric heat pump with new 2-ton 14 SEER, new curb mount,. new duct work,. new top of the line digital programmable thermostat.
