I wish they had provided a more detailed rendering and provided better estimates on cost. I think they should've talked me through my thoughts and offered better follow-through.

Simon and his crew did a fantastic job! We love our brand new covered pergola! Theses guys are professional, timely, and their goal is to make you happy! What more could you ask for in a provider!

Nice guy. Gave drawings for patio. They were very simplistic. Not enough details or suggestions for more creative use of space.

While the actual design wasn't very elaborate, we were pleased with his professionalism and decided to work with him to. get the project done. It was done in time (a few minor touch ups a week later) and at budget and we are very pleased. Avi and his team were very easy to work with and responsive to my questions. We were always in touch about different aspects of the project.

I hired So Cal Builders and Design to remodel my condominium in Los Angeles. My parents bought the condominium for me several years back as a wedding gift for my husband and I and although they bought it at a good deal, there was some work that still needed to be done. We hired a small-time contractor who was a friend of the family to come and remodel it. At the time we thought he did a good job but unfortunately in the last 2 years I have noticed how shabby his actual job was. Some of the cabinets weren't installed right and the plumbing was not up to code. So my husband and I decided it would be best to hire a professional team to come in and remodel it properly. When I called So Cal Builders and Design they were extremely courteous to me and their agent, Avi, who came to my condo was really pleasant. We went over the work that needed to be done and I told them about my budget. Although some of the things I wanted done ended up being over my budget, Avi did everything he could to minimize costs while maximizing the result. In the end that effort was super successful as they were able to make my condo look fantastic with the limited budget I had. I was so amazed at their work. Their team worked very hard and very fast and they took great care of me.

The representative of So. Cal. Builders arrived on time and was very professional and courteous, I gave him a rough idea what I wanted and he was attentive and helpful in designing a workable image of what I wanted. During our meeting I mentioned that I was also planning a kitchen remodel and he gave me an estimate of what that may cost. So not only did he provide me the image of the backyard for which the original meeting was for and he also made arrangements to visit one of his prior client who had a patio and a kitchen remodel done by his company. I was very satisfied with his presentation and was glad that he did not pressure me to commit to a contract.

It was easy to set an appointment. Ari was on time and informative. He quoted us a rough estimate and options to move forward with the project.

I wanted to have an outdoor entertainment area so I can invite my friends over or spend time with my family outdoors. I had a lot of area in the backyard that was unused and I figured this would be a great addition to my backyard, and home. I wanted to make sure that the patio cover would provide ample shade and protection from the elements because I wanted to have a television out there as well. So I hired so cal builders and design to do this job. What they did was extremely great. They built a solid patio cover in the corner of the backyard, supported by stucco columns. Between the columns they installed an outdoor kitchen, and on the opposing side, they installed a small fireplace and a place to hang my television set. The project lasted several months, and there was a lot to do. I didn't realize what a huge project this was - until I saw their team actually working on it. I am thankful I didn't just do it myself like I originally intended. Now I get to enjoy my weekends outside enjoying the fresh air and still watch the game! The team at so cal builders and design did an awesome job with my backyard!

I paid for a 3-D landscape design. My hope was that the company would be able to not only provide a rendering, but offer creative suggestions about what to do in our backyard. We were very open to making significant changes to the current layout, but the person who came out really had no input to offer about changes that we could make. Instead he left everything as is, and instead provided a landscape design that had a barbecue area facing our brick wall and a basic fire pit. The design was emailed to us without any pricing of what the actual work would cost, and no follow up email was ever sent by the company to see if we were interested in having them do work. I was disappointed in the quality of the rendering and the inability of the person to give creative suggestions for what to do in the backyard. I would not use this company again, even though the person who came out to our house was very friendly.

Another service provider that I used was So Cal Builders & Design Inc. It was something that I looked up. There was a special but I was too late for the special. The guy said he would just come out and do it verbally. The fellow came out very really great and he said that they were totally backed up on doing designs and giving you a computer printout. We had a conversation and he gave us a quote. It seemed very reasonable and he had really good ideas. The cost was nothing as it was a quote. I was very impressed with what he said about his company and how they work as well as his knowledge of lots of different building things. We actually may use him on a different project as well. I would grade him an 'A' across the board.

Follow-up: Today I received a refund from So. Cal. Builders & Design. This was not requested by me and totally unexpected. I applaud their business principles.

I was not very impressed with the 3D renderings, but I was extremely impressed with the contractor himself. Our project was for a pool remodel, and so we ended up deciding to use someone who specializes in pools, but we will definitely be using him in the future for other projects.

He was eager to meet my needs and helped me understand what I needed. I thought the price was in line with other companies. He was able to show me that one thing I wanted wasn't going to look as good as I had hoped.

Took more than 2 weeks instead of 1- 1 1/2 (as he told us) to get written plan to us). Provided photographs instead 3D drawings, as were expected per the ad. We did finally receive photos for the rest of the yard though still no 3D rendering. After the review was initially posted they called us back and wanted to make sure what happened. We clarified our experience and the provider did issue a refund of the deal purchase and offered to come out in the meantime and discuss what we would like to do, We declined at this time.

They did not do the work, nor will I proceed with them providing the service. The gentleman I spoke to was very nice, but the deal was not what I was expecting. I expected to get a 3D rendering in a landscape design. Basically I got the impression that he was coming out to give a quote, as he was more interested in showing me pictures of materials and products that they sale, instead of creating a design for my landscape. He was asking me for ideas in what to do in the different areas of my lawn as I was expecting someone to give me ideas for my landscape. I am sure that they do a great job. My complaint is not so much against the company as it is against themisleading deal.

My interaction with them was fine. I was just out of their service area.

I hired So Cal Builders and Design to build me an outdoor kitchen and sitting area. I was going to retire from my engineering position in October of 2014, and since at the time it was already getting close to the middle of April I wanted to have a brand new outdoor kitchen and living area. The ideal was that I could celebrate my retirement there with my friends and family! When so cal builders and design had their agent, Daniel show up, we went through everything that I wanted done. But as we were discussing the kind of pavers I wanted, we also began to discuss maybe expanding the project scope to include the front yard as well, but not too much. So Cal Builders and Design suggested that we do a simple stamped cement design in the front and pavers in the back to give it cohesive look. I was very enthusiastic about the idea, and we started work immediately. Because I was on a fairly strict time table I wanted to make sure that the contractor was able to deliver on time. And I was pleasantly surprised that in the end they finished with a whole 3 weeks to spare from the deadline we originally had. This was mostly a result of their hard working crew, good weather, and having the necessary materials available. When it was finished I was extremely happy with the new outdoor kitchen. The sitting area which sits on my new paved patio, and a gorgeous aluminum patio cover, is now a great place to sit down and enjoy the fresh air. When I did retire in October, I threw a huge celebration like I wanted to, and I received a lot of compliments about the job that So Cal Builders & Design Inc did. Over all, I give this company an A+ rating, for doing a commendable job, on time, and with a great look.

My wife had to travel to England to take care of her sick mother for a few months, which gave me the perfect opportunity to surprise her with a new kitchen. We have a fairly old country style kitchen, and it's starting to show it's wear and tear. I had a plan to do this for several months, but I figured now would be a great time to do it. I called So Cal Builders and Design to remodel the kitchen. They did a fantastic and quick job! They presented an excellent designs for the new kitchen: new cabinets, a kitchen island, with granite counter top. They also gave a good time frame to finish it, giving me extra time before my wife arrives home. They made the kitchen look exactly as how the designs were. When my wife came home she was so unbelievably happy to see the new kitchen. It was a real great project, and it really was worth the cost. Thanks so cal builders and design for your speedy and awesome job!

I own multiple apartments in Los Angeles, and needed 2 of them to be renovated. The 2 apartments were in the same building but on different floors, I wanted to hire one contractor to do both projects as quick as possible, because I needed to put a tenant in both of them as soon as possible. I've worked with So Cal Builders and Design before, when they remodeled one of my apartments a year ago. They did a good job then and I wanted to work with them again, due to the relationship we built with the previous job. They were happy to work with me again and just like before presented all the options necessary for me to continue. We agreed to use basic materials, and not go with anything too fancy. My concern was time, and I must say, So Cal Builders and Design is extremely good at making sure they complete the work on time and on budget. Especially with something as complex as two bathrooms on two separate floors. At the end of about a month and a half of work they were finished. The job was done superbly, and I was extremely pleased, once again, with their craftsmanship. Nearly as soon as they were finished I was able to get tenants to move in there, and the first thing they said was that they were thoroughly impressed with the bathrooms!

The condominium I bought has the most gaudy carpeting I have ever seen. The condo came at a super great price, and was in excellent condition, but for the carpet. It was stained, off-white, and didn't fit the sky blue walls, and white ceiling. Going through the various contractors in my area I looked into So Cal Builders & Design, they had a really good reputation, and were close to me. I called them right away and they came by to my condo and we began talking about what I wanted done. They suggested that I replace the living room and the bedroom with hardwood, and the kitchen and bathroom would receive porcelain tiles. I thought the idea was perfect and cost effective, which was good, because I had a limited budget to spend after buying this condo. I had worked with contractors before, but these guys were really amazing. They did such a fantastic job, and it went by really quickly. When they were done I was so thankful to see that carpet gone, and the wood floor went perfectly with the walls and ceiling. The porcelain tiles fit just right in the look for the kitchen and bathroom, and I was extremely pleased by how it all came together. Definitely would hire again!

1. Enclosed an open-air office upstairs in our house #1 went absolutely perfectly, like a work of art. Avi treated our house as if it were his own. He was always prompt and honest. He painstakingly matched the materials and wooden doors of our house. When the previous owners toured our house, they were very impressed and said, "It's as if it the new wall and door were always there!" Avi was not the least expensive bidder, but we went with him because we knew he would take the project seriously and meticulously. We were right! It was the best decision by far. Would use him again in a heartbeat. 2. Wall papered that office 3. Removed a cabinet attached to wall in basement. Removed a vanity in basement bathroom. Removed all electrical tubing and plumbing from basement from those two fixtures. Dry walled basement walls after cabinet and vanity removal. Reattached cabinet to concrete wall in garage. #2 and #3 both went well. Avi's crew was very responsive, friendly, and neat. They cleaned up all the mess.

I hired so cal builders & design to fix up my backyard. I wanted to have an outdoor kitchen so I can enjoy the summer months outdoors more often. A large section of my backyard is just a giant grass field, and I wanted to do something with that. When they presented me with some of the designs they had in mind and the cost, I was very excited to get started. They had their crew show up as soon as we signed the paper work, and they began to work. Everyone worked extremely hard, and the backyard was remodeled in a few short weeks! They first covered half the grass area with cement, with red brick border, and on the sides next to the wooden fence they placed 2 planters. But the best piece was the BBQ that they installed on the cemented area, with a fire pit nearby. I hope to work with so cal builders & design again for my future projects. They did a fantastic job and had a really good crew that worked extremely hard!

I hired so cal builders and design to remodel my kitchen in September. A few years ago I bought this condo but it had a very old kitchen and the wood started chipping a bit. I couldn't afford to get it done then, but I have saved up and wanted to finally fix it up. I called so cal builders and design because they were nearby and had a good rating. They sent over their representative, Avi, who discussed with me what I wanted to do with my kitchen. It wasn't particularly a large project, but it did require new cabinets, and even new appliance installation. They had their crew at my house every day, and worked during the afternoon. It didn't take long, and after a few short weeks, we had the entire kitchen remodeled and looking great. These guys did a fantastic job, after they finished they made sure that everything was cleaned up and made sure I was very happy!

Aviad is a great contractor to work with! Very good communication and follow up throughout the job. He handled all the permits and inspections and also has a very good team of work men. The job was conducted in a neat & organized manner with no surprises. A few customer requested small changes were easily incorporated during the process with no problems. Aviad really went the distance to provide as painless a live in addition as possible. Highly recommended! All work was performed on a home in Chino Hills, CA.
