After the first 3-6 month honeymoon period things went downhill fast. Poor communication skills, unprofessional and non responsive to homeowners/members and board; Repeatedly unavailable to attend meetings as require; Held themselves out as leaders in HOA management but failed to provide accounting services mandated by law in California indicating a lack of knowledge. Unaccountable for their mistakes (continually shifting blame). Created conflicts with purchaser of unit in development due to inaccurate information provided during course of escrow. in problems with escrows due to inaccurate information; Failed to provide services they were obligated to provide per the employment agreement. Referred affiliates including but not limited to CPA that they have a financial interest in who contracted to provide services to the HOA, billed for the services but also did not perform as agreed. Failed and refused to turn over HOA records following termination, despite repeated requests. When researching for companies in late 2011 to replace Ross Morgan learned that fees being charged by competition were on average 25% less than those charged by Ross Morgan. The services being provided by the new management company are night and day, and put Ross Morgan to shame. We stayed with this company for as long as we did because it seemed that sadly the level of service being provided in the area of property management was common and more superior service lacking throughout the community and that it was the best we could expect. We also dreaded (from past experience) the possibility that we would lose valuable records if we made a change. While this latter problem did occur, we have learned know that the level of service provided by competitors, at least the one we now employ is amazing (honeymoon now over) an puts even the services provided byRoss Morgan during their honeymoon period to shame!
