Guardian Angel Locksmith

I sent an email to Guardian Angel at approximately 8:30pm one night asking for services and mentioned I was a member of Angie's List. Eli called me back at 9am the next morning but because of work I was unable to take the call. I returned his call at about noon and he promised to come by before 2pm. When he arrived at about 12:30pm, he immediately identified himself and showed me his business card. I explained to him all the locks that needed to be changed and also mentioned the extra keys we needed. He was very friendly, professional, and quick. He had completed the lock changes within half an hour, and checked all the keys to ensure they worked. With the extra keys to the french door, one didn't work properly, and he immediately went out to his van to correct it. He was done with all the work within an hour and his price, with the Angie's List discount, was just over $100. A great price for our peace of mind! Overall, a very satisfactory experience and very professional response, all well within 24 hours of the first contact! I highly recommend Guardian Angel and Eli Shirel to anyone needing professional locksmith work.

I needed a quick change of the locks, and called Eli the day before. He was able to accommodate my schedule without a problem. On the day, Eli was running a little late (no more than 15-20 mins), but that wasn't a problem as he called ahead to let me know when to expect him. He carried out all the jobs I needed done, quickly and efficiently. He was able to advise me about the locks' operations, and he tested all his work before finishing. The pricing was perfectly reasonable, and I felt I was in capable hands throughout. I would thoroughly recommend him to others... I don't think you'll be disappointed. We will certainly call on him next time we need locksmith services.

Eli from Guardian Angel was extremely polite and hardworking. He came out at the beginning of the hour window to give me an estimate and returned the next day to complete the job. He is did a great job and I will definitely use him again!

Our house was broken into and we needed to have three double-cylinder deadbolts replaced (all on the same key). Even though we're a bit far out, Eli said he could be there within two hours. He came well within that time frame. He was friendly and efficient. What I also like is that he gave me all the lock alternatives with price options and didn't try to sell me on the pricier ones at all. (Something that did happen with another locksmith I used.) Furthermore, Eli repaired the door so that the deadbolt engaged fully (which it was not doing before). He also greased the locks so that the key turned smoothly and showed me how to do this self-maintenance with a little WD-40. In summary, Eli and Guardian Angel were great! I would happily use them again!

We bought a new house and needed to replace the locks quick. Guardian Angel was able to get the job don quick and did an excellent job. We would recommend them and definitely use them again.

Ali arrived on time. He spent over two hours working on all the locks. He re-keyed the locks so that I would have one key which was great. He ended up having to replace several locks, and do some repair on a lock installation that had been poorly done. He supplied several new locks and all the keys I needed. I was very pleased with his work, his professionalism. He also has followed up on a hard to find lock for a screen.

The lockset involved was a very high-end locket and he was familiar with the type of lock provided to him by me. The result was exactly what I expected and Eli did a good job. Not everything went flawlessly along the way - so it goes with such things. Eli adjusted as necessary and made sure I knew that it was important to him to please me. This made all the difference in the world. He adjusted as the circumstances permitted, discussed it with me and made sure I went away happy whatever it took. I have what I asked for and I went away happy as a lark.

Very professional. Made the call after trying a couple others. Eli seemed to have the best idea of what I needed. Provided me with materials on first vist. The next day he was back as scheduled. Very good communication. Would definitely use him again.

Eli was very unassuming, professional and neat. He cleaned up everything after he did the work. He arrived on time and took about 6 hours to do the work. I am very happy. I added some stuff so his final price was slightly higher than estimate. I didn't shop around but the quality of his work merited higher than average pricing. If you are looking for a quick and dirty cheap job, call the guy down the street from your house. If you want a more thorough higher quality job, call Eli and he will do great.

I called another locksmith that was scheduled to show up the day before. They did not come and only offered an explanation after I called them. When I called Guardian Angel, Eli, made an appointment for the same day and showed up exactly on time. He changed my locks on the front door. I just bought a new house and was concerned about other people having keys. He also noticed that the lock was hard to use on the door knob. At no extra charge to me, he spent an extra 20 minutes drilling and perfecting the door knob latch. I plan to use him again after I have work done on the house to change the locks in back. He definitely earned an A + from me.

Eli arrived at our home exactly on time - a definite acquired skill for a savvy California businessman who knows the value of his customer's time. Pleasant and friendly, Eli's easy manner and professional acumen inspired confidence from the handshake, as I'm sure other commentators here can attest. The renovation of our front porch included a new front entry door; one of those semi-custom types that demand the aggressive application of power tools to a fairly expensive investment in solid Oak that needs the right holes in the right places and all the hardware installed - and then hung and balanced perfectly. This is the front door to the castle we're talking about here; it has to be done right! And right on time! Eli made it happen: Easily overcoming and correcting two building errors made by our construction contractor earlier in the day, Eli and his partner expertly carved and drilled and waltzed that Oaken behemoth of a door into its narrow realm, domesticated it with hinges, wood screws and weather-stripping, and then consecrated that entrance to its monotonous, but critical, destiny. Now that door works for me - thanks to Eli and Guardian Angel Lock & Security. And on a brief, but serious, note: a front door represents everyone's domestic boundary and denotes a place of safety; knowing your front door is solid and secure and professionally installed encourages peace-of-mind. Absolutley fine, very responsive, done a very nice job

Eli arrived on time and was curteous and extremely professional. He's excellent at his profession and didn't let such old security screen doors throw him - he knew what they needed in order to be fixed and he provided that service. The whole process took about 25 minutes. He's fabulous and Eli is our new family locksmith.

I had an old 2 piece front door lock that broke and needed to be replaced. I called & talked to Eli and he was able to come out later that day which was a blessing, I actually had someone put another deadbolt on the door over 5 years ago so the locks were not keyed the same. Not only was the response time quick, but he is very professional, friendly, answered all my questions and I had such complete trust in him that I didn't even bother to get other estimates. He gave me several options to choose from. He replaced the lock which was not an easy job because whoever put it in a long time ago did such a bad job, keyed all three locks the same, touched up the wood, made 3 extra keys that I requested, and made sure everything was working before he left. It was such a pleasure doing business with Eli and I would definitely use him again if the need arises and I highly recommend him to anyone.

I got locked out of my garage. I know it sounds strange, but I turned off the power to the garage door, got my grocery's out of the car went out the side door and into my kitchen. Then I went to the garage to get something else and discovered that door had locked itself. How? I don't know. Did I have the right key? Absolutely not, but I sure had a lot of wrong ones. But I digress, I walked to work the next morning, because my car was in the garage. I called Guardian Angel at 10am they were there at 10:20am and I was back at work and in my car by 11am.....with new keys to my side garage door. Are they expensive? I have no idea. Are they good and reliable ? Absolutely. And for me, well worth the price.

Eli was terrific. He arrived at my house exactly when he said he would, spent a lot of time discussing and reviewing my options, and in the end made a recommendation that was actually less expensive than the way I wanted to go initially. Even though I just met him, I trust Eli completely and will not hesitate to call him next time I need a locksmith. On top of being punctual, professional and honest, Eli is a really nice guy to boot. Also -- even though he's based in the Valley -- Eli serves essentially all of Southern Ca, so regardless of your location you should give him a call (he has a mobile workshop in his can and will be glad to come to you). I am on the Westside, but I know he serves all areas including Pasadena, the Inland Empire, parts of OC, and of course the valley. Call him!

Perfect! I called....talked to a human being. They said they were available to come out right then...which I was NOT expecting. They were super prompt and responsive. The rep showed up and was very polite and professional! He rekeyed three locks for me and replaced a doorknob assembly. Professional, courteous, fast and he made extra keys for me at no extra cost which I really appreciated. I don't know the going rate for this type of service. I paid $185, and I think the service they provided was well worth that amount. I will definitely use them again if I have a need for services like theirs.
