Guardian Angel Locksmith

I am at the end-stage of a large re-model and am commuting from out of the city to the project site. Things seem to have become a bit crazy at the end with many small items to attend to. My handyman couldn't come to install the doorhandle and locks for the new backdoor so I called Guardian to do the installation. Gilee, the technician saw what a mess my keys were and patiently told me I should simplify my keys when the job is complete. Today, September 16th, I rushed out of the house in San Diego, leaving my new house keys at home. I called Guardian Angel and explained the situation and hearing the frustration in my voice, was told that someone would be out right away. I received a call a few minutes later from the technician, re-assuring me that he was on his way. The former technician, Gilee, would not be available until the afternoon, so Eli, the owner, came to the rescue. He found that I needed a complete key simplification (which Gilee already told me) and suggested I do it right away to make things easier.. Eli proceeded to re-key my home and eliminate the many keys that I carried around for such a long time. He, along with Gilee, was friendly, prompt, efficient and professional. This company truly proved to be Guardian Angels. I recommend them highly.

Gilli called 20 minutes before arrival to ensure that i was there. The re-keying only took 10-15 minutes and Gilli was courteous, prompt and efficient. Highly recommended.

Very professional. They showed up on time and and easily fixed two locks where a security company had mistakenly kept my keys. Then they rekeyed all my other locks to cut down on the number of keys I needed. Very trustworthy.

He was on time and he called ahead. It was a good experience so far and I'll probably use them again if I needed any work done. He pretty much knew what he was doing. He was friendly and he did the work pretty quickly. I heard that locksmiths sometimes charge a lot so I feel like he was reasonable.

Came out as planned. Friendly, professional and honest. Fixed both issues and poof done great!

It was a very good experience. I was dreading using a locksmith after numerous reports I have see on bait and switch practices. Guardian was the complete opposite. They were punctual, friendly and extremely helpful in making my decision on what was the best way to proceed.

They were prompt, very kind and courteous and understanding to several appointment changes. Super clean and they did an outstanding job. The action on all the new locks is superb and they handled an increase in the project scope on site without issue. Amazing. The best!

I called for a quote to change the locks on my new house, which Eli provided over the phone. And when I was ready to set up an appointment, they were able to send someone later the same day. I had lost my keys and worried that I had left them on the car trunk. So needed to change the locks to the house before nightfall, just in case a bad person had stolen the keys! Called Eli and he was at my place in 40 minutes. It only took minutes to change the lock, get new keys (plus a few spares) and I had peace of mind going to sleep! A hardworking, charming young locksmith!

The representative was right on time. He identified himself, and used protective booties in the house to keep our floors clean. We have a locking sliding door that is used multiple times per day, and the lock fails every couple of years due to excessive wear and tear. The locksmith was able to adjust the parts of the lock, as well as the fitting on the door jam so that it worked smoothly and locked properly. No replacement parts were needed. He disassembled, cleaned, adjusted and reassembled the lock for the cost of the service call. We have had others people work on that lock in the past and had the door out of service for days and days.

It went smoothly and quickly. I had two locks (dead bolt and entry) for which the prior home owner did not provide me with keys. The original cost was $95, but with the Angie's List coupon the final charge was $75.

We had a locket that was about 30 years old and stopped working. It could not be fixed so Gilli removed the old Baldwin lock, ordered a new one, came and installed it. It had not been re-keyed in so long that he had to re-key it too. I also bought new keys. It works perfectly now. Great job. Explained every thing he needed to do and every charge. When he installed the new lock, he came with his partner Eli, and they both worked on it. I love these guys and cannot recommend them highly enough.

The last time I changed a lock was when I bought the house 8 years ago. And I felt taken for "a ride" by a guy working out of the back of his car - sure it was a lock, but it was expensive and he was rude and the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. I recently saw Angie on a talk show, I like the concept of the list, and decided that I would give it a try for this much larger-job. Am I glad I did. Guardian Angel Locksmith was fantastic. The owner answered the phone himself at 8:30a - their office called me based on an email I had written the night before thirty minutes later- they maintained contact as the service appointment approached - and their technician Gilly was at my door, pretty promptly, and did the work exactly as I wanted - quickly, economically, and I got added value with them. Gilly took a lot of care to oil & give maintenance to some fixtures that are older then the both of us combined. The job got done quickly - and I'm frankly amazed at how much easier the locks are to use after their service. He was really friendly and efficient. I would definitely repeat this experience and will be trying them out at my business locations next!

Gilli showed up within the provided timeframe and was very fast and efficient in re-keying 10 locks, some of which I did not have keys for, and installed a new deadbolt in a door which needed to be drilled out. He was very pleasant, with zero pressure or up-selling. Before he got to work he went over everything he was going to do, so there were no billing surprises at the end of the job. When he was all done, in record time, he made a point of cleaning up before we settled-up. There was not a speck of sawdust to be found. Guardian Angel will be my first call if I ever need locksmith services again.

I called Guardian in the morning, and were able to provide a couple times to choose from for same-day service. The locksmith, Gilli, arrived on time and was professional, courteous, and informative. He helped me figure out options (replace existing lock, replace existing hardware, new deadbolt style). He gave me recommendations for replacing the existing hardware in the future and why the piece we currently have could be problematic. Not only was the service fast and painless, Gilli also explained what steps he would take to do the job so I was prepared for the drilling, and he cleaned up the mess of sawdust beautifully. It was a great service experience, and Gilli was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Gilli and Guardian Locksmith.

We had been trying to fix it, but couldn't, and he figured out how to do it easily. I was very impressed that the company had a technician out to me within 2 hours. It saved the day!

On time, clean, outstanding workmanship

New entry gate needed specialty locking systems and I was recommended the best equipment that resolved security issues not only from the outside but from the inside as well (didn't think about that one). They even brought in a welder to install a full height stop for greater security and privacy. Guardian Angel is to notch!

He was fantastic. I do not remember the date, but just realized I never wrote him a recommendation and he definitely deserved one! He came to our house on short notice, was able to put new locks in our front door that I had had a horrible time trying to find. They size was an odd size and he had one in his truck. He also rekeyed a few locks for our side gates and gave us custom keys that worked on all locks, or just some of the locks. I will definitely use him again!

Gilli was great. He was very calm and professional. Explains the options well with no pressure or stress. I did NOT get a sense of upselling. I felt he was honest and straight forward. And he worked quickly. I will be calling them again when I get new doors/replace the complete hardware rather than just a re-key.
