Their price was competitive based on the phone evaluation, so we scheduled them to give us a real estimate. Expecting some ONE person to come in with a clipboard like most service guys do for estimates, I was turned off and shocked when THREE guys burst in with ladders and toolboxes as if they were about to start working. My doubt was intensified when one of them scooted his tool box across my hardwood floor, leaving scuff marks. No real scratches thank goodness, but most service workers know better than to do something like that, especially right in front of the homeowner. The 3 guys were actually 2 workers and the owner, who was very pushy and "car-salesman" like. He showed me what seemed to be a bogus letter from a doctor who claims that he saved her life by cleaning her air vents. I wasn't impressed, so he and the workers proceeded to opening my vents and taking apart my heating system so they could assess what was needed and give me a proper estimate. My fiance and I had to work together to keep track of all the people moving around our place. Coit had come out a few years ago to provide an estimate on cleaning the vents, and there was nowhere near this type of activity going on. Anyway, it was about when the owner had dismantled my heating system and was holding the fan in his hands with wires flailing about that I felt compelled to use the company. I asked for a written guarantee that my heating system would work after he put everything back together and he agreed. They began working right away. $200 for cleaning the vents and $350 for cleaning the fan. While they were working, one of the workers tripped over the stairs that he had been running up and down since he arrived. The owner said something to the effect of, "Don't worry, they have homeowners' insurance." I couldn't believe he said that, let alone where I could hear. He needed to tell his worker to be careful, rather than to suggest that I would pay for any injury he happened to sustain. After finally getting the workers started on vacuuming the vents upsatirs and downstarirs, the owner took the fan outside to clean. I didn't actually see him do it because the workers needed to be supervised (and my floors watched over), but the register looked and smelled clean when he brought it back in, so I guess he used more than just dish soap and the water hose. Near the end of the service, they let me and my fiance know that their vacuum hose had been caught in a crack in the air duct, and that they would have to cut a hole in my ceiling to get it out. They would replace the duct pipe that they cut and have someone come patch the hole in my ceiling at no charge. Of course, there were some issues with that whole situation, but after a few days their person came to fix the hole. The real owner of the company (apparently the guy we met was the owner's son) said he would not provide the promised written guarnatee that my heating system would work. Long story short, I would not use them again.

He was very responsive. He came right to the door, but was very pushy. He came out about five minutes early. He was prepared to do the work, and not just give me an estimate. He and another young man even brought their ladder up to the door. They said they would take care of things right away. They insisted on doing it till my husband walked in and that was the end of it. He gave me an estimate for $2009. The closest estimate that I got for the exact same thing was $560.

Overall, would I call them again, I am not sure. The main guy was very nice and his main point was if anyone in your household are affected by allergies, a service like this is very important. He was only suppose to come by to give me an estimate, but was getting ready to unload his van to perform the job before I said okay to the fees. It made me feel a little obligated to allowing him to do the job whether I had wanted to or not. It was after 5pm and I really did not want to wait another two hours to have dinner and relax after work, but I figured I better just go ahead and have it done. I had been calling around trying to get quotes, which I found to be a little difficult to get because most companies would have to come out to see the unit and air ducts. Plus, this is my first home and I am not sure what to expect. They get started or should I say his worker got started on the job, his worker did all the work, including bring the equipment that was needed up and down the two flights of stairs. The job did not take the full two hours, more like an hour and half. The job was quoted $285 and I ended up paying $290, where the extra $5 came in, I guess taxes. After all this, I honestly cannot say that I can tell a differences. The reason why I had this done because it was recommended from the inspection of the condo. I left the air condition going for an hour and the room that had been a problem with not getting cooler, still wasn't any cooler. At least this service eliminated my first theory which I thought might be the problem.
Description of Work: Pulled out the unit and cleaned it. Also cleaned the surrounding area where the unit is stored. No air ducts where cleaned, technician stated that if there was an air flow problem, it would be because the main unit had build up dirt among other debris.

Since they tried to clean my air vents, dirt has been collecting all around the house. Mainly in the kitchen and in the bathroom area. They call it branch return air ducts. They charged me $100.00 dollars for each vent and $49.95 for the main air supply duct.
Description of Work: I hired Dr Air Care to clean from the dryer vent to the outside vent. I also asked them about cleaning out the rest of my vents. Thats where they really messed up.

They were very good. The price was more than what we expected, but we were fine with that. The guy who came out was very nice and thorough. He took the time and explained a lot of stuff to me like what he was doing and why. The next day after he left the unit didn?t work. He came back to make sure everything was fine and it was just a loose cord. It went well and we were happy with them. We thought that it was lot of money so we might try to get a better deal next time.

James spent a lot of time on the phone explaining the process and benefits of cleaning vents/ducts. Very patient, very knowledgeable. David came to house exactly on time. Inspected everything, made very good suggestions on what needed to be done and what would be a waste of money. Very fair assesment. I felt confident that I was not paying for things that did not need to be done. No sales pitch on any products, no pressure sales tactics. I later called David regarding a question about the heater. He not only took his time to answer, but actually came back to our home on his own time to correct a minor problem. That is service way above and beyond expectations. If I was to describe a perfect experience with someone I hire, this would be it.
Description of Work: Cleaned furnace, blower, two air returns; installed new filters (that I previously purchased); fixed minor problem with thermostat wiring; fixed furnace vent; fixed air duct return.

Great. Showed up on time. Work performed as planned. Cost was as had been discussed. David was friendly, professional and efficient. He didn't happen to have the size air filter I needed on his truck and followed through putting the order in so that when I called in to arrange for deliver it was in the system already like we had talked about. No hassles and the filter was in hand the next day. Great businessman. Will call them again the next time work is needed.
Description of Work: They came to my house to clean the air ducts and inspect and clean the furnace. They also sold me a reusable air filter.

They were excellent. The air is so much cleaner and I feel so much better. I found the servicemen to be extremely knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to be around. I have recommended their services to many of my friends and would not think of going to another company to have this type of work done in the future. I have had lots of problems with indoor air pollution in the past and this company has made my living environment much better for me. I would highly, highly recommend them to everyone.
Description of Work: I have very bad allergies and needed to have my air ducts cleaned and other things done so the environment in my home would be much better for my health. I had a UV air purifier installed, a new blower, as well as everything cleaned to create a much healthier environment.
