Excellent on every level! David fixed which many before him couldn't. He replaced our old knob with an antique replacement knob since ours was stripped and also adjusted the door so it wouldn't stick. Prompt. Great attitude. Super competent. Would highly recommend.

David was excellent. We called four of the top "A" rated locksmiths on Angie's List, near our house. He was the only one to take the time to explain in detail what we needed to do and how we could accomplish some of the tasks ourselves. He offered to walk us through exactly what had to be done and why. He came out the next day, precisely on time, took care of everything, gave us good advice on other locks and was even kind to our dog. He quoted a fair price, honored the discount coupons and even gave us extra service. David was fun to talk to, pointed out what we didn't need to do - to save us some money. We are very grateful.

David showed up on time, worked quickly and did a great job. The second time I used him I was running very late and, since he is always punctual, I felt bad making him wait. Since he knew me from doing previous work and I felt comfortable with him working unsupervised, I gave him access to my building remotely and he rekeyed my mailbox and left the keys for me in my lockbox when he was done, no questions asked. I just mailed him a check afterwards and it was a simple solution. I greatly appreciated his flexibility and willingness to accommodate my crazy schedule. Also, his prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend D Lock!

I called to set up an appt. The lovely gentleman (sorry, I can't remember his name) suggested I text him pics of my lock and he would call or text me directions on how to tighten it myself at no charge. I couldn't understand his directions (not because they weren't clear, but because I'm not so technically proficient at these kinds of things), so he came by my house about and hour later and showed me how to tighten the lock, should it ever happen again. And he charged me only the coupon price for his visit. He was respectful and professional and I would definitely call him again. Fabulous service.

David fixed both problems quickly, effectively, and cheaply. He was polite and pleasant.

Dave was great! Super prompt, honest, and professional service. He gave me options and ultimately helped to save me some money since we planned on replacing everything in our home renovation. I've had a few jokers in the past and Dave was the best locksmith I've come across thus far by miles!

Job went quickly and well. I contacted him on Friday, and he came on Saturday afternoon. Repaired (and rekeyed) my front door, teaching me some good lessons about maintenance in the process, and then replaced an antique latch on one of our bathroom doors that had failed earlier in the week. All inside of about an hour. I would hire David again in a heartbeat.

David is great. Communicates clearly and responsively. He shows up when he says he will. He's thoroughly professional and gives good advice about your locks and doors. I would absolutely hire him again and recommend him very highly.

Perfectly! David came out on time and promptly identified and resolved the issue with the lock. He had provided a price range over the phone before coming to our house and the final bill was well within the range the he quoted. We will absolutely use David/DLocks again (without hesitation) when we need a locksmith. He is friendly, professional and most important, knows what he's doing.

We highly recommend David! My purse was stolen with all my identification and my keys. Since the thief had all my keys AND my address, I was worried about burglary or possibly even home invasion. I have to admit, though, that I was also worried about using a locksmith. I had never needed a locksmith before and had heard stories about disreputable ones keeping a copy of your keys, etc. I figured that using Angie's would give me a bit more peace of mind. So I contacted D Locks, David called me back within a few minutes and he was at my house within the hour. He re-keyed our locks in no time at all. What a relief! Also, for rush service like that I expected to pay a premium, but he simply charged his usual fee. We were very pleased with his service: prompt, professional, honest, pleasant - the whole package. One more thing...he was so professional and pleasant that before he started the re-key my husband asked him about getting new locks instead (my husband had been looking at those high-tech locks that use a code or a fingerprint). David said that he did carry those types of locks with him and that he could install one but that our locks were fine. Besides, he said, it wasn't worth spending a lot on high tech locks when our front door was HALF GLASS! He said that if we were really worried about break-ins we'd be better off getting a door with less glass than a fancy lock. For some reason that simple bit of common sense had never occurred to us! He could have easily sold us a $300 or more high tech lock but he had too much integrity to do so. Again, a great guy. Too bad we don't need a locksmith more often!

David was amazing. Ended up being same day service and he arrived early for our appointment window. Quick, but top-notch work. Would definitely use him again if he hadn't told me he would stop servicing the Thousand Oaks area. I strongly recommend that you pick him for your next locksmithing needs.

He was on time, quick and efficient and very upfront with pricing. He answered my questions about other lock options simply without pushing for an upsell. I would call him again.

David was great. I called him on Thursday about coming to install a deadbolt and he said he could come the next day. I mentioned to him that i had just moved into the house and he said he could give me an estimate when he was there for what it would cost to re-key the house. He showed up on time the next day gave me a quote for the deadbolt and the re-keying of the house. There was no pressure. I opted to get everything done and he was able to do it right then. Very professional and high quality work. I would highly recommend him.

David was great! Extremely knowledgeable. Showed up on the same day I called with great communication. Worked quickly and got all the locks re-done without a hitch.

We had to change the original date at the last minute and David was very gracious about this. When he performed the service more than two weeks later, he was exactly on time, did a professional job and was very professional. We have recommended him to others in the area.

Saturday night at 8 pm, I was locked out due to missing key. I searched the list and called for immediate service. David of D Locks responded promptly and arrived within 20 minutes. In another 20 minutes he unlocked the door, rekeyed, and made 3 keys for me. He also adjusted the alignment on the security door frame to ensure proper locking. I appreciate David's professional calm demeanor and friendly attitude.

Called David in the AM and said he would be in my area later this afternoon. I told him that was great and to just call 30 minutes ahead of time so I can make sure I was home. When he arrived and he found my existing lock that had a frozen latch. I thought for sure the lock would have to be replaced, re-keyed (2 different keys; one for house and one for gardener) and it would charge me an arm and a leg. Said the lock was fine, and I just had a broken latch. He had the part on his truck and just replaced the small piece - not the entire lock. Normally I would do these things myself (go to home depot and swap it out myself) but I just did not have time today. Also, I did not know the exact size I would need, or if HD could key two different keys to the same lock. David was courteous, professional, identified the problem immediately. Done in about 20 minutes and I went on with the rest of my day. Totally worth the $60.

D Locks had a tough job with my lock. I had a Chinese lock on a metal front door. No parts could be replaced and no keys could be remade (due to Chinese lock). The previous owner had put in a cheap lock on a very expensive door. David came and gave great suggestions. He had to remove the Chinese lock and cut a wider opening(with a blow torch) in the door for the new Emtek lock. It was a great installation. A few months after installation the deadbolt could not be unlocked. I called David, even though he had already worked a full day on other commercial and residential jobs he came over to investigate. The issue was an internal metal part inside of the Emtek that was bent. He took apart the lock, and fixed the issue. He assured me if it happened again, he would have Emtek send another lock. The initial charge was very reasonable(The lockset itself was 500, even on amazon), and the repair/fix was free. He guarantees his work!!! I would use him for any/all locksmith related work.

I would call David again with any lock problems I have. Totally professional and accurate. He came over to the house right away, and was excellent.

A pin had fallen out of my lock and David took the time to explain to me what he needed to do. 20 minutes later the lock was fixed and he provided me a key to the lock which I had lost. Total professional!

Not only did David make it to my house with in two hours of my calling him but he did a great job and is an extremely lovely guy. He told me I could rekey both my inside and outside door with the same key but make some of the keys only able to open the outside one. I've probably had 5 locksmiths at my house in the past two years and not one of them ever mentioned that. David is excellent. I highly recommend you use him. I promise you will not be disappointed and I make that promise for very few providers.
