Clif was personable, professional and knowledgable. He helped me understand paint type definitions, variance in coverage, durability, and cost,..very important for a first time home owner. His team, led by a seasoned and personable pro named Marcos, always showed up on time, had great attitudes and exhibited a "customer first" approach to keeping me happy with the effort and results. It was a big job/house and took 4 weeks. I am very happy with the results and service. Clif even recommended a handyman to me when I expressed a need for such, who is equally professional and great to work with. I would use Clif Jones painting company again and I would recommend his company to friends.

Mr. Cliff Jones came very promptly to give me an estimate for the exterior painting of my house. He mentioned that he had carpenters on staff and that they were capable of fixing any of the wood work, I found this to be very much a plus. I am sure that if I had chosen this company to do the job that I would have received excellent work. The proposal was sent to me in an e-mail. In that proposal he told me that my house was not a paint job, but a renovation. He mentioned that he knew his bid was more than I wanted to spend, and I am sure that he realized that I would not choose his company. The bid, by the way was for $7,800.00. The house is only 1283 square feet (interior)

Clif Jones and his wonderful team were an amazing group to work with from start to finish. They were extmely professional, accommodating, punctual, and thorough. They went above and beyond our expectations and would highly recommend them to anyone. We plan to use them again. Clif is a very nice guy and a pleasure to deal with. So were the rest of his team. You can tell they a very experienced. They went out of their way to make sure we got the result we wanted. We met with several painters and are so happy we decided to go with Clif.

Cliff runs a well-oiled and well-trained machine. He's got all kinds of resources including a fantastic carpenter that did all kinds of wood repair on our deck, railing and other areas found to have dry rot. He also improvised epoxy restoration of exposed wood beams that had termite or rot damage. Work of art they are! Cleanup at the end was totally complete. He doesn't hesitate to offer advice -- in our case he recommended against a stylist's overly complicated triple-color paint scheme -- and was responsible about repairing numerous ceramic roof tiles that got cracked because of the traffic from his crew. Also, if you're extremely particular about the color/brand of your paint, then you should buy it yourself or insist that Cliff buy that exact product. Like all painters, he favors certain brands (not that that's a bad thing...) Thumbs way up! Will probably call him in a few months to freshen the high-traffic areas of our interior.

We hired the company to repaint our house because we were going to list it for sale. Clif was able to assist with various carpentry projects we also needed. The painters were very professional and did a good job.

Prompt estimate, showed up on time. Professional, discussed and helped with ideas. Offered references to other neighborhood jobs in progress, arranged for viewing. Very quick scheduling. Completely professional crew. Clean. Kept entire area neat every day. The painting was-no kidding-flawless. I really wanted the lines and seams of the beams where they reached the ceiling to be clean, perfect and straight but didn't imagine they would turn out as perfect as they did. Everything about this team was what you wish a contractor would be. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. Don't look any further.

I would highly recommend Clif Jones Painting to anyone...family, friends, coworkers, or strangers! They were professional and courteous from the first contact to the finished work. Clif was always available and easy to get ahold of. He always followed up any contact in a timely fashion. Clif''s workers were consistently on-time, courteous, knowledgeable, and skilled. Manny was the crew leader, and was a joy to work with...they all were! They did all of the work by hand, and their stucco repair was amazing...you can't tell where the repairs were made. This was the BEST paint job we have ever had done (& there have been a few!). I only wish he had known about him last time. I can't say enough about Clif and his team. First of all, Clif brings his excellent eye for color to the job and suggested the perfect color for the house as well as recommending a contrasting trim for the windows which we did not have before and was a great idea. Anyone who uses him should take advantage of his expertise with color. Whenever we met, he was exactly on time (usually early), and his crew was exceptional. They had a great attitude and did a meticulous job on the prep, removing all the outside lanterns, marking each one, filling every little crack and void, and then applied an excellent (and not watered down) paint... all by hand. The carpenter he brought in was also fantastic and he's now my go-to carpenter, in fact he came back and did some extra work on the window latches. Every aspect of this job was beyond my expectations and I hightly recommend Clif and his team. They are what professionals should strive to be.

Their bid was competitive with others I received. They were flexible and prompt in scheduling the job around other work being done at my house. They were always prompt and professional. They did a thourough, good job; they did not damage anything and they cleaned up completely.

Every 2-3 years I ask Clif to come and walk the house with me to see what areas could use some touch ups. I do this because I want to keep things looking fresh and this way we keep ahead of serious deterioration and we keep the painting costs to a minimum. People are always telling me how good my house is looking and Clif Jones Painting Company is a major reason I hear use wonderful comments. Clif Jones has a huge number of reviews, almost all of which are testimonials to quality of the work and Clif's prefessional and caring attitude. We chose him based on the reviews, even though we had 2 lower estimates. We were not disappointed! We have used many contractors over the years, and we place Clif at the very top of the list. His crew was extremely punctual and did outstanding work. The time they spent on the prep was incredible. We had sets of double doors in very poor shape, requiring extensive prep. When finished, the doors looked brand new. The crew was extremely neat and careful with the plants around the house. When they left at the end of each day, the entire site was cleaned up and all their equipment placed in the back yard on tarpaulins. In the middle of the job we had a rain delay and were running out of time before we needed to leave town. Clif had his crew work on a Saturday, and on the following Monday brought 2 crews to be sure they finished to job in time. Clif visited our home every single day his crew was there, except for the day he had knee surgery (he was back--limping-- the following day0. He even called us from home after his surgery. Needless to say, we were thrilled with the total experience. When we are ready to paint the inside of the house, we wouldn't use anyone but Clif.Jones

He responded promptly to my inquiry; however, I would not consider using him in the future. On July 18, 2011, I received a very unprofessional email from Clif regarding the fact that I posted I would not use him again in the future. The comments were solicited and posted by Angie's List. It is their wording not mine. Regardless of that, it is very unprofessional for Clif Jones to have sent me a nasty email. I urge Angie's List to remove him from their list of providers and am warning others to not use him. I can only guess how his lack of professionalism is reflected when he does a job.

They did a great job preparing for the paint as it still looks good today. We had to leave for a vacation before they had finished the job so we had to leave the house keys with them. When we returned we saw our house finished for the first time and it looked great. They finished cleaned up locked up just as if we had been there. Very trustworthy. I think they were more nervous of us giving them the keys. We haven't had need for the interior to be painted yet but I think I would call them first. They have painted the exteriors of several houses in my neighborhood and they too look as good. One was done years before ours and I still admire it.

While Clif was certainly not the lowest bid I received, the old adage of "you get what you paid for" is certainly true in this case. I wanted a quality paint job and was willing to pay for it. I wish he had been a bit cheaper but that is a minor observation. He had to paint around some exotic woods on the cabinetry and there were no issues on that score. He said his crew would do quality work and he lived up to his word. I will be using him again shortly.

The exterior windows, trim and rafters and of the house and garage needed a lot of work after many years of southern exposure to the sun. The crew was very pleasant and courteous. They spent a lot of time to carefully sand, remove old caulk , re-glaze where needed and do what ever prep work was needed before priming and painting the exterior wood. We added the task of patching and painting the interior of the garage which had not been done in the 27 years we lived in the house. The, we added the task of painting the ceiling and wood trim and windows in one of our bedrooms. We had used a handyman type painter for some other jobs over the years who tended to do the quick and dirty version - minor sanding and prep work prior to paint. This was a major cut above.

Very professional and top quality work. Pricey, but worth it.

They were terrific. The guy was very great, paid attention to detail, a nice person, and seemed very pleasant to have around.

He is probably an excellent painter, but he was very fixed in the way that he wanted to do things. He didn't seem very open to discussion. I found him on Angie's List. He was extremely professional; he just had a way that he planned on doing the job.

From the first phone call to the completion of the work the service we received was exemplary. Clif himself visited the same day as our initial enquiry and had a quote to us by the next day. Excellent prep work, covered all areas, filled & spackled all wood & walls, sanded smooth. Color matching was perfect. Clean-up was done everyday so the whole house was usable to us in the evenings. Staging area was kept to a minimum and cleaned up daily. No traces of their having been here once the job was finished. All we had were beautifully painted walls & woodwork! Clif uses only top quality painting materials. We've used Clif Jones Painting Company for exterior work as well. All fascia boards were painted, a lattice overhang with pillars, & window trim & shutters were done 2 years ago and look as good now as then. We will NOT use any other painting company again! We're spoiled by Clif's attention to color, detail and cleanliness!

Clif was very professional in all aspects of the project, from the initial contact through the contract signing through completion. He made it a point to completely understand what we wanted, and he showed up regularly to supervise and make sure things were being done in a high quality manner and to our satisfaction. His crew was also very professional, clean, on time, nice to deal with, and the quality of the work was outstanding. They prepped the areas involved thoroughly and worked quickly and efficiently.
