Atlas Custom Hardwood Floor

Very impressed with the quality of work and service from Atlas. They were able to quickly match and order the wood that was already in our home and complete the job on schedule, even after a couple pieces were damaged. The crew left our house clean each day and were careful not to leave stains in any walkways they used. I would highly recommend The Atlas team to anyone looking to add hardwood in his/her home.

Isaac was so easy to work with. He arrived on time to do an estimate. Didn't try to oversell us. Appreciated the character of the hardwood floors in our 1955 house. Gave us a bid in a timely manner. Even offered to show us the hardwood floors he had done in his son's house, which was nearby. We didn't take him up on it but what a great gesture. He and his crew were on time and professional. He made great suggestions on a few small pieces of finishing work that didn't cost us anything and made our floors look fantastic. Blended old and new hardwood beautifully -- you can't see where one ends and the other begins. I didn't think the old, scratched, damaged floors could look this good. But they do. Very happy.

Atlas did an amazing job installing 790 sq ft of engineered hardwood (5 pile) in my home.They were easy to communicate with from the estimate to the clean up on final day, and the workmanship was phenomenal. I had no idea there was such a wide range of pricing for engineered hardwood- the estimates I got ranged from $9 a sq foot all the way up to $15/sq ft....and there are so many options I felt it was somewhat overwhelming,but the atlas crew helped me to pick the pile and wood veneer that worked for me and my budget. Ill definitely be using these guys again if I decide to install wood flooring in the rest of the house.

I recently moved from northern CA to Los Angeles, and I moved into a house that had some terrible high pile carpeting. I knew I wanted wood flooring, but I didn't want to go with "real" wood (I'm big on conservation and protecting the environment) so I called these guys (Atlas) about what my options would be other than laminate/ vinyl flooring (yuck). They pointed me in the direction of engineered hardwood which gave me the look I wanted without having such a big impact on the environment since the floors aren't solid wood. The price was way better than I thought it would be- so I decided to just go for it. I took the carpeting out myself, and they came and installed the flooring very quickly. My floors look a m a z i n g and I couldn't be happier with their service. I like that they didn't try to pressure me into any frills and excess- Atlas was happy to do exactly what I asked and for the price they quoted me. Definitely recommended.

As the other reviews have stated, atlas are very good contractors, and worth consideration by anyone needing floor work. They did the light sanding and refinish on half of my 50-year old house, which was built with nice white oak floors that have been covered by carpet for 30 years. he had to replace a few planks due to staining, some minor termite damage. the head-boards where the carpet tack-strips are were swiss-cheesed with nail holes. I went with the light sanding and two coats of finish, so the floors kept this nice honey-brown tinge they've picked up through aging, and the few flaws and faint glue marks left by the carpeting are only visible in certain lighting ,and really only if you're looking for them. My project was also 1/2 the cost of the usual full sanding and refinish. When I get my house a little more organized, i plan to have Atlas do the other, slightly larger half of the house the same way. I truly recommend them for homeowners looking for a competent flooring contractor who is considerate, does quality work, and is flexible with you.

I recently bought a home and I decided that I really wanted to have the floors spruced up a bit. The floors werent in such disrepair that they needed to be replaced, but they definitely had some cosmetic issues (and a few squeaky places) that I really wanted to have taken care of. I was surprised at how difficult it was to find a contractor willing to take on my project- many of them seemed to not want to do a project that wasnt an entire floor install. I found Jon at Atlas through some internet research, and I am really glad I did. He was more than willing to take on my small project. He understood that running a business doesnt mean just cherry picking only the super top dollar projects. The quality of work plus the fact that he was willing to help with my repairs earned him future business- when the time comes to actually replace the floors entirely, I will only be calling jon. In any case- Jon was incredibly friendly and professional. He made me feel like I was a priority, and I was appreciative of that. The work came at a much better price than I expected and the floors look great. Jon is a good, honest guy and I definitely recommend Atlas for any flooring needs or repairs you may have. They were clean and the work was done promptly and without incident. I couldnt have asked for more.

Our floors were not in good shape, probably had not been refinished since the house was built in 1969. They were dull, very weathered in places where they were completely gray. I could not imagine what these floors looked like when they were new. Well, now i know! Isaac came over to measure and give me an estimate. I could tell that he knows what he's doing, and the price was good, so we scheduled the work. We did stay in a hotel while the work was being done, but i was so thrilled to come home and see my beautiful new floors! All the stains and the gray were gone. Beautiful work, done on time, and Isaac was very helpful and pleasant the couple of times we stopped by. Somewhere in the middle they put a few different wood stains on the floor for us to see and choose from, and that was very helpful. We chose early American stain and it looks amazing. Not too light, not too dark. The house was clean when we returned, no dust, no mess, we even left our artwork on the walls during the process. Definitely recommend Isaac and his Atlas team!

Isaac's crew are super nice and courteous and more importantly they are great carpenters. We had them refinish our 1920 douglas fir wood floor which was in such bad shape that it was covered up with carpet by the previous owner. These guys brought it back to life and it is beautiful. We were in the midst of a minor remodel and asked Isaac if he would be wiling to install our pine wood ceiling and couldn't be happier with the outcome of that as well. My father is an architect and has a keen eye for defects but expressed nothing but admiration for the craftsmanship demonstrated by these guys in all the work they performed. Once again, after finishing the ceiling we were so happy with their work, we had them install our baseboards, door casings, and a few window casings. These guys are just good woodworkers and true craftsman. They take pride in their work and it shows. Their prices are very reasonable and their work quality top notch.

We had a water leak that ruined our entire wood floor, living room, dining room and downstairs bedroom, ~ 1000 sq. feet. After interviewing four different installers, all with very good recommendations, I decided to go with Isaac. He was not the lowest price but this was very fair and he gave and excellent feeling. What a great choice. Isaac and his team did an amazing job. They found all kind of little and no so little problems when they removed the damage floor as a result of a very poor and expensive job than by the previous installer. They took care of them. It is where Isaac showed to me a facet that impact me most, his honesty and integrity. He did not charge us extra for taken care for the unexpected problems found! I cannot write enough good things of Atlas. In summary, if you are looking for a knowledgeable, easy going, open mind, reliable hardwood installer, do not look any more.

Exceptional! Isaac and his crew did an excellent job from bid to finish! It was a big job: he demolished, prepped and installed new hardwood flooring in our living room, dining room, foyer, family room, bar area and office. We recently decided to replace our carpet in our family room with wood flooring. I found Atlas hardwood floor on yelp and was not disappointed. Isaac's quote was competitive, he brought samples out and helped us select the right material for our home. The installation was nearly flawless, they were done in a day and a half. Isaac (the owner) came by after the install to clean the floor and touch up any areas of concern. I would highly recommend this company.

Isaac was a referral to me through a friend that had recently had hardwood floors put in. He came over to my house and gave me an estimate that was lower than 2 other company's. He estimated it would take 3 days and gave me a list of materials that I could purchase at Kohl's and he could pick up, or there was the option to have him do it all. I opted to pay for the materials myself for the credit card points. Isaac finished the job on estimate and completed it in 2 days, a full day under estimate. Isaac is the type of contractor you always hope for: polite, punctual, knowledgeable, and most importantly, on-budget. Having Atlas put in my floors saved me close to $1000 off of going with a commercial hardwood flooring company with the same results. I would recommend him to anyone having any sized job being put in. They can't be beat!

The 20-year-old white oak floor in my two-story condo was in need of a sanding, refinishing and some repair in certain spots. Not being able to afford to completely replace it with either wood or tile, i called Atlas hardwood flooring to see what they could do. Isaac returned my phone call promptly and was in my home the next day. Within 20 minutes, he was able to give me a very fair quote and took the time to educate me on the process. Bottom line: my floor looks brand new and i literally saved thousands of dollars. Isaac was friendly, did a great job cleaning up after each day's work (both in my home and in the common area of my condo complex), and took the time to do a meticulously detailed job. given my o c d, Isaac patiently took the time to listen to me even when i pointed out the obvious things he already had planned to address. I recommend his services to anyone who needs work on their wood floors or stairs.

These guys are rock stars. They did the hardwood floors at my condo after another floor company flaked out. They had three days to remove the wall-to-wall carpeting, sand the floors, and apply new staining in time for my move. Isaac came in on a Wednesday night to give me an estimate and they started working early Thursday to finish the job by Sunday. They worked day and night to make sure everything was ready to go when I moved in. They were helpful, diligent, clean, and responsible. Isaac called me every day to give me an update. The floors look amazing. I would highly recommend them for any project.

Isaac was here from the first day. He supervised demolition and then set the lines for installation of the wood floor. All workers were exceptional. The floors were installed with no surprises and look beautiful.

We had bamboo flooring installed by atlas custom hardwood floors, and are very happy with the job they did. The floors are beautiful, as are the finishing touches, the molding and base boards. There were a few small communication glitches along the way, but everything was done to our satisfaction in the end. The only complaint i had, and it isn't enough to lose a star over, is that we were told that Isaac would be doing our install, and we ended up having another employee installing our floors. However, he did a great job, so other than being surprised at the beginning we were still happy with the result.

My husband and i were dreading the fact that we had to deal with yet another contractor to get our floor done for our inlaw - we had some work done on our roof about a year ago and the experience was... Not great to say the least. I don't know if it was karma, but working with atlas custom hardwood floors was the exact opposite of our roofing job. We googled and called exactly 2 other places before working with atlas custom hardwood floors. Isaac was very knowledgeable and helpful all the way through the project. Isaac held our hand through the entire installation process and was always very responsive to our needs and respectful of our time. The entire project took about a week. We ordered the materials, got our old nasty carpets ripped out and dumped, and 3 days later we had our beautiful new maple floors! We did have one snag with our weird stairs leading into the inlaw - we have an old house - and wanted a few steps redone, and they were for no extra charge! Needless to say i reenacted that scene in risky business more than once - my husband strongly disagrees - but i think i did better than tom cruise. Anyway, if you're looking for a no-hassle flooring job, atlas custom hardwood floors is for you!

I contacted Atlas Custom Hardwood Floor and Isaac called me back within minutes. He was curtious and very professional. He took down all of the details and gave me a ballpark figure for the cost of the materials and installation based on the information I provided. He described the type of material he would have to use since we were installing laminate flooring on the 3rd floor of a condo in order to reduce noise level. He then promptly met with us and again gave us details about the materials and cost of installation which was exactly the same as he quoted to me on the phone. The information passed through our HOA with no difficulty and Isaac started installation right away. He took exactly 3 days, as he promised, and it came out beautiful! He gave us great choices on the laminate floor and he and his crew did an absolutely wonderful job with the installation. We could not be any happier and will definitely use him in the future and refer his company to others.
